I have a hunch she is either CPS/CTU, possible off duty police (City or Suburbs) and or politically connected. If any media exists in Chicago, they will send FOIA requests if the organizations (CWS/CPD/City) stonewall / do not provide further responses over the next week. Also, it appears there was only one shot fired, with the stomach graze wound the result of a powder wound when the weapon discharged, with the bullet striking the women adjacent in the leg. https://secondcitycop.blogspot.com/2023/08/no-s%*#-fred.html Second city is alluding to the possibility the shooting perp is a CPS teacher, illegally living in the suburbs (CPS teachers are required to live in Chicago).

The White Sox over/under for 2023 wins is 83.5

People need to read the fine print on future wagers as some stipulate must play 161 or 162 games, threatening a winner if there are cancellations of meaningless late season games. They would have had two more if it weren’t for stupid trades. Ron Schueler January 10, 1992: Bob Wickman traded by the Chicago White Sox with Domingo Jean and Melido Perez to the New York Yankees for Steve Sax. Kenny Williams January 3, 2008: Ryan Sweeney traded by the Chicago White Sox with Fautino De Los Santos and Gio Gonzalez to the Oakland Athletics for Nick Swisher. Jeff Weaner declined their second round offer in 1997 and went with the Tigers, R1 14th in 1998.

I listened to many games starting in late April (beyond Clevinger games which I do not follow), and was excited after the Tuesday firings. That ended the following morning when Boob said Getz is their frontrunner. If someone less qualified than Kenny or Rick take over, I'll just wait until Jerry is gone before following closely again, assuming I still care. If they hire someone credible from beyond the organization, I will resume following the team and give it a chance. They sucked me in this weekend with the shooting and White Sox/Jerry Reinsdorf way of handling it (incompetence, minimal transparency or concern for fans, non credible communication, national embarrassment). Not much else to follow at this stage until the announcement.

Yes, and he has no demonstrable knowledge of the sport, despite this being his primary business for 42 years, and proclaiming on multiple occasions how smart he is and how dumb his competitors are. His bragging is worse than Hahn’s throughout the years. They are all unqualified insular morons, and it looks as though Getz has been chosen to carry the torch.

This report from local Fox states many people were fleeing the scene, and that Police requested the game be stopped, without further details. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/chicago-police-almost-completely-dispelled-shooting-white-sox-game-came-outside-stadium.amp Videos posted to X, formerly Twitter, showed some panicked stadium goers running away. Police wanted the game to be stopped after the shooting. Would like to have more facts or follow up regarding the second statement. Did Jerry or his minions actually tell the City / CPD no, we are not stopping the game? Or was this perhaps an initial request that was reversed by the police once they had additional information that this was an accidental discharge? I’m thinking the latter if the request is accurate.

You are making a lot of assumptions about “nobody” doing this or that. TV only interviewed one fan, last name Miller, and he stated he heard a shot. Nobody else aired, but CPD and CWS likely had additional witnesses. The TV interview was also accurate when the reporter stated the suspected persons involved were escorted out of the stadium. They were taken to the hospital, not arrested. Those initial magic bullet reports were worse than the BS from the Warren Commission. The CYA CWS CPD statements offered minimal information. The White Sox were clearly lying when they stated it was unclear whether the shots were fired inside or outside the stadium, based on the statements from multiple CWS employees.

There is not much more they can do. They will need to have women at each gate if they are going to start groping / patting down people who continue to set off the metal detectors on multiple attempts. What about people with metal plates? They have limited options without turning off customers. They can’t have a TSA style system with cancer machines and the escalations those agents are able to get away with. And with the wages they pay, and the staff they hire, I don’t expect diligence to be thorough or long lasting once this blows over.

This. If they leave the city, they will be dead to me and most of the city. They also need to cease using our city name Chicago. This must be reserved for teams representing our actual city. This team has over two million fans wanting to attend and support the team each season. Jerry Reinsdorf sabotages interest time and again. Hire qualified competent people. Give them a proper budget. Stay the f*** out of the way. It’s that easy.

Consistent with reports yesterday that those involved were released from (or escorted out of) the stadium, as the perp and the woman she was with were transported to area hospitals. Far more likely than the magic bullet theory 2.0 from a mile away, especially if casings were found. Yep, the story verified by two White Sox sources. Have to believe her embarrassing FUPA "gun pouch" details will be left out of public reports, but hope someone files a FOIA request for the police reports. https://cwbchicago.com/2023/08/gunfire-that-injured-2-sox-fans-likely-originated-inside-ballpark-chicago-police.html

As I noted in the other Jerry wants another stadium thread, their agreement with the ISFA stipulates they are responsible for all aspects of security, and to review their security procedures with the ISFA every other month. White Sox obligations under the ISFA agreement: https://www.isfauthority.com/assets/management-agreement-with-all-amendments2.pdf (PDF Page 38-39) Team shall be exclusively responsible for the management and operation of the Stadium, including but not limited to the hiring of all security, crowd control... (PDF Page 52) Prior to the beginning of each Season (commencing with the first season in which Team plays in the Stadium), and every second month during each Season (or more often at . the request of either party), representatives of Team and Authority shall meet to: (i) Review Team's Routine Maintenance and security procedures, which shall be submitted to Authority prior thereto in writing by Team. Also, the City of Chicago have closed dozens of businesses via a Summary Closure Order, and should do the same with Comiskey Park if they continue to operate as a threat to public safety. They should also bill the White Sox for all the labor costs, CPD helicopter costs, and all other costs the city incurred to respond to their security lapse through the completion of their investigation. PUBLIC SAFETY THREAT - SUMMARY CLOSURE ORDINANCE https://directives.crimeisdown.com/diff/47426b1a721f7b6972f20f71db7954e772e090d1/directives/data/a7a57be4-14e02bcd-b2b14-e034-ffd9aa999cdf3f5b.html ELEMENTS REQUIRED FOR A SUMMARY CLOSURE ORDER The Public Safety Threat - Summary Closure ordinance gives the Superintendent the authority to act quickly to close a business establishment whose continued operation is determined to be a public safety threat. However a summary closure may be ordered only when ALL of the below elements are present: A. A violent offense occurs at the establishment 1. "Violent offense" means the illegal discharge of a firearm;.... 2. The violent offense takes place A. Inside the establishment. B. The violent offense takes place when 1. The establishment is open for business. C. A person involved in the violent offense has a connection to the establishment: The violent offense involves acts of the licensee/owner, or its employees, agents, or patrons.... D. Information is available to support a reasonable determination that continued operation of the establishment presents a public safety threat - including, but not limited to calls for service, case reports...

Well the police chief today stated they "almost completely dispelled" shots coming from the outside Friday evening. Would like to see the City and or State fine and sanction the White Sox for multiple instances of lax / no security this season, including the brawl in the left field stands that no security addressed during the entire 2 minutes plus. The State of Illinois needs to enforce their stadium agreement and ensure the White Sox adequately provide security for the ballpark. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/what-we-know-about-chicago-white-sox-game-shooting-as-team-releases-video/3216297/ White Sox obligations under the ISFA agreement. https://www.isfauthority.com/assets/management-agreement-with-all-amendments2.pdf (PDF Page 38-39) Team shall be exclusively responsible for the management and operation of the Stadium, including but not limited to the hiring of all security, crowd control... Have to go a bit further, but bars still open after Jerry knocked down McCuddy's and Jimbo's closed. I've pre/post at Marz Brewery, Skylark, Puffer's/Mitchell's Tap Your shuttle idea is a good one, though they typically lock up the parking lots around an hour after the game, so they would need to figure that part out first.

Meaningless Regular Season AND playoffs LLWS

https://www.wikihow-fun.com/Be-a-Troll Also, I consider High School and College Amateur Baseball. Not a fan of watching aluminum bat baseball, so don't like or follow, though I did go to my HS's 2006 State Championship Game (sadly Naperville Central 2 St. Patrick 0). I have played with wooden and aluminum bats for baseball and 16 inch back in the day. Too old to play at this stage. -

That's the what the next hire will tell us. It's not that Chris Getz will be that much worse than XXX, though there is a good chance he would/will be. It's that Reindorf will continue grabbing the next guy in his organization, the same as he did after firing Himes and then Schueler, and there will be little to no change in their organization philosophy and management structure, swapping this unqualified Michigan grad for that unqualified Michigan grad, and Reinsdorf asking Chris Getz why he uses so many post it notes, or if he has stomach problems because he uses one roll of toilet paper more a month than Hahn. -
I can confirm this is usually the case on the Blue Line as well - Portapotty, Weed, Cigarettes, Homeless (1/4 chance psychotic) Living Quarters. Used to be only Winter Time, now it's a permanent fixture since government "science" lockdowns. Enjoying @TaylorStSox's posts, hope he "Wins The Day" today. White Sox South Side Baseball must be preserved.

Your troll game is weak my friend. It's a double elimination tournament, not a "regular season".
