  1. If anything Robert is ticketed to a destination to be named later
  2. Youth movements are always more interesting to a lot of people such as myself, given the alternative option of chasing .500 with some meh or shot veterans. This last rebuild that flamed out sort of goosed fan interest for awhile for sure. But that kind of thing is not going to work again unless the Sox begin bringing up their own talent that they scouted and signed. Canario, well I agree. I would have more fun having a beer in the stands watching guys like that more than the Benintendi of the world.
  3. Whether or not the names can be called future “talent”, well that’s a real question to be debated. Some publications appeared slightly optimistic. But, yeah. Lots of work to be done.
  4. I would be surprised if the Sox became buyers in any significant way this season. This year is going to be about alignment of the young players in seasons to come. They’re not interested in picking outside the top 3 for the 2026 draft imo. And they likely can’t do anything about it even if they wanted to.
  5. His defense was his best attribute. The RBI didn’t really qualify that much as far as retribution. He put the ball in play.
  6. Kopech yes. Sorry for the confusion.
  7. Diamond Dry would not be a great porn name
  8. Infielder version of Blake Rutherford, Joe Bouchard, Courtney Hawkins, Jarred Mitchell etc White Sox hall of hope and disappointment. But, they could put him out there in left as the Benni heir apparent.
  9. Hmm, last laughs. Kopech. Maybe. Moncada, probably not. I don’t remember if there was a “probably not” response on the Magic 8 ball, but that’s what we are seeing here. Nice RBI though.
  10. In a month and a half, this rah rah stuff will give way to tanking talk.
  11. I’m taking the SO as way more indicative, or representative of how the story likely continues for Moncada than an RBI off the pitcher.
  12. That’s an annual T-shirt. I would buy.
  13. Rabbi? A 40 man roster and lack of a Jewish sponsorship might be reasons, but you should dig deeper.
  14. We only lost like 2 million bucks of Jerry’s money on him? That’s a White Sox bargain.
  15. Chick Mercedes replied to 2Deep's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Point is, we want to stop that and be releasing the suck, not embracing
  16. What are his short and long term goals? And how hamstrung is he with this ownership?
  17. Some people meed to getp out this weekend on the trail with a good GPS watch (not apple without data), and actually try to run an eight min mile. It’s going to be a rude awakening.
  18. I wouldn’t be surprised that a lot of MLB players run 8 min miles because the sample set of above average athletes likely includes being able to move that quickly. And I am sure a ton of them run to stay fit. But Eloy doesn’t necessarily need to run an 8 min mile to do his job at all. I’m guessing he just isn’t loaded with a lot of quick twitch muscle fiber, and people like that when required to do sudden athletic movements tend to pull things more often than quick twitch people
  19. It’s anerobic. Baseball movement is short bursts of glycogen burns.
  20. Just to note, I”d say an 8 min mile is moving pretty good. Most people are gonna be pretty happy being able to move that fast, that’s athletic. And especially a 24 min 5k. That aside, baseball is not really an aerobic sport. Especially endurance not really needed. Just strength and fitness overall.
