  1. Yesterday. Oh I believe, in yesterday. Well, the day before yesterday.
  2. No. His shutout innings only give him the opportunity to pitch again on the MLB level. Which should never happen.
  3. just out of curiosity, why would Vaughn be in RF and AJ in LF?
  4. I think everyone is actually comfortable. Too comfortable. Which is not to say that everyone should be fired and traded. It means there is a very relaxed atmosphere on the SS. And I don’t believe anyone has a reason to worry about their places in the lineup or on the team. That’s a breeding ground for complacency. TA being the most recent example
  5. I think this team is in a bad headspace. Chirping at media is a symptom. And they are in a bad approach to the game. Walks at the bottom of the league, yet don’t hit. Manager has crazy lineups. No accountability. Jerry Reinsdorf is enabling it all, and the dysfunction will continue with or without the hitting coach. There has to be competent leadership that know what to do, and that’s not going to get fixed apparently
  6. When a pitcher just knows how to pitch like Cueto, much different look than stuff guys like Velasquez
  7. The Sox will come around to a certain extent. But to a certain extent, the FO was very overconfident in the offseason. Arguably the signs were there for them not to be.
  8. I am on a rampage tonight, sorry. Can we change the thread title to…. TLR 2022 Hot Seat Thread?
  9. If Ricky was still managing, with the LaRussa achievement with this team, he would have been fired weeks ago. Or it would be the leading topic on sports talk radio every day until he was fired. Instead, we might fire Tony’s hitting coach.
  10. No specific reason. Depends on the return, but I should probably be very open to trading anyone other than the 2 names mentioned, because as Dr Phil likes to say..How's that working out for ya (us)? I'll stop dropping expressions tonight. Maybe one more. The Sox are overrated man. So it's time to make changes after they prove it. You're not trading everybody. Your open to trading just about anybody
  11. We're talking about the old expression, guy that can get you from point A-B, but not to C.
  12. my question is, if the Sox finish thre season like this, should I be open not only to firing everybody, but trading anybody but Cease and Robert? At that point, this team needs a redo
  13. Dude is a little too feisty for a guy that just became a MLB pitcher again two weeks ago
  14. I can’t watch one more inning of the Sox offense. Going out. Good luck guys.
  15. Well. Of course. Dont blame the relievers tho. The Anemic Sox offense is the problem
  16. Personally, Whichever player is able to get regular ABs can become in a better groove at the plate. Up against a southpaw, I don't mind going with Engel and defense.
  17. So is this Gas Can Kuechel's do or die, or wil he get another chance after implosion?
  18. TLR's lineups ranked on a relative scale of 1-10, I predict an 8 today. Relative to common sense, I predict a 4. Edit: Ok, this is actually about an 8.5 on the TLR scale. Perhaps even a 7 for common sense. Now, we wait for the dreaded bullpen move rating 1 SS Tim Anderson 2 3B Yoan Moncada 3 CF Luis Robert 4 1B Jose Abreu 5 DH Andrew Vaughn 6 C Yasmani Grandal 7 LF AJ Pollock 8 RF Adam Engel 9 2B Josh Harrison
  19. First of all, the FO fucked up the off-season. But with this sort of start, I think we all know that if it was any other manager other than the one hired directly by the owner, the only conversation in town would be …when is the manager getting fired? Hopefully the FO will begin looking for a fall guy for their own failure. Not that TLR doesn’t suck in his own right.
