I fully think think that at the end of his career, we will look back and say that he had a Lebron like impact in baseball in terms of changing the way the game is played and really being the face of the modern game. He might not be quite as good as Lebron, he's not the GOAT, but I think he's a bonafide superstar.

Actually, was going to start a sepereate thread but if we aren't going to the game tomorrow where they are giving away the jerseys as promos, anyone have an idea how we can get our hands on these? I want one of them badly.

Agree. Would also combined with rust, this was possibly the worst matchup Liam could get. Judge and Stanton are two amazing power hitters. Judge feasts on fastballs. I think Kimbrell's knuckle curve likely would have been a better matchup against them.

He also leads the AL in saves. Looked good at times is kind of an interesting way of putting it. Dude has saved a baseball game 26 times and that's not counting the times he's come into a tie game and shut the opponent down. I would say from here on out, Liam gets 3 out of 5 save opportunities and I would actually say in the immediate, the other two Liam should pitch the 8th just to keep him fresh.

I think Kimbrel should get some opportunities to close for sure. Having said that, not enough people I think appreciate that Hendriks basically carried an underperforming bullpen on his back for the first half of the season. I chalk this up to him going this many days without work. It's pretty clear that when he goes long stretches without work, he's not very good. I would be down though to see him in the 8th inning on Saturday and Kimbrel in the 9th. And I think because of his desire to pitch more, TLR can be more creative with the ways they use him. The only thing really alarming about Hendriks this year is how many home runs he's given up. Some of that is probably due to Comiskey being a much more home run friendly ballpark than Oakland. But also, it's partly because he's always attacking the strike zone. There are sometimes he's going to get hit. Still, before Kimbrel switched leagues, he was the best closer in the AL by a mile. I still feel comfortable with him in the 9th. Thank god we have Kimbrel though.

It's possible his velocity might be down a tick but Kimbrel isn't a one trick pony. It's the knuckle curve, which he is locating, which is what makes him so explosive. That combined with his fastball is why he's a future hall of famer. As long as he's locating that, he's fine. I would give him a save opportunity soon though just to see if he can get that added adrenaline going.

I've grown to like them but I would be in favor. Also, can we bring back the vest jerseys as occasional home alternates? I still have mine and I miss them.
