Get Tony the f*** out of the building.

TLR out for the year
There's no fucking way this happens if the Sox continue to play like they have.

Lance Lynn
No. I think it's less that than the fact that the knee surgery was significant enough where he had to remake some of his mechanics.

Lance Lynn
People have been giving Lynn s%*# on this board but he is 4-1 in his last seven starts a 2.06 ERA and most importantly, 53 strikeouts and only 4 walks. He's quietly found his 2021 form and not a lot of people have noticed. If the Sox can get to the playoffs, and that is a big IF, they will be lining up Cease, Cueto, and Lynn as their first three starters. That's pretty damn good.

So is Gavin Sheets for real?
At the beginning of the season, I likely would have been in favor of letting Jose go but he's been the best hitter on the White Sox this season. Quite frankly, I don't think any of the White Sox have lost their ability to hit for power. It's pretty obvious that it is Menechino. The data bares this out. They do have a logjam at 1B/DH. It's possible you could get something good for Sheets but I think I don't have a problem keeping him and trading Vaughn. I also would go after someone like Gallo in the offseason. He's been slightly better in LA but I also think he's bound for a rebound. And he improves your defense immensely.

Give Your 2022 Sox a Slogan
Between two depending on the last 34 games: Everytime I'm Out, they pull me back in. Stringing me along

Fire Tony Chant
To be honest, I didn't have an issue with Tony last year. But the regression he's shown this year as a manager is stunning. He lacks any of the fire he had last year. And the defensiveness is new. This Kopech thing could end up being nothing but at a certain point, Tony is going to be responsible for a major injury. A lot of this just makes me sick to my stomach right now.

That's a White Sox Johnny Cueto Winner !
To think this spot in the rotation used to be Keuchel. Everytime Cueto goes to the mind, it's as close to an automatic win as you can get.

What the hell is wrong with Giolito?
When was his second bout of covid?

Momentum or Big Tease?
This division sucks. And the Guardians are overachieving. One strong week for the Sox wins them the division. They have been pretty solid since the start of July and have managed to really avoid any prolonged losing streaks. They just need one prolonged winning streak.

Situational Hitting - runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.
Winning games is the key word.

Situational Hitting - runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.
The inability to hit the ball in the air is causing this. You get a ball in the air to the outfield with a runner on third with less than two outs and more times than not, that runner will score. It's infuriating. It's really down to the horrible approach Menechino is taking with them. I also maintain that the firing Menechino is way more important than firing La Russa. The Sox problem is simple this year. They aren't hitting home runs. Our complaints about TLR are nullified if the Sox offense was doing what it was built to do.

Tigers fire Avila
I doubt it. I think it was because the last two starts were particularly brutal, broke up winning streaks, and were the sole reason why the White Sox lost. Was he a fall guy? Perhaps. But I also just think it was the right call to make.
-
Menechino is movable
I repeat that firing Menechino is way more important than getting rid of TLR. Sox are hitting home runs and we aren't talking about TLR.

Reese McGuire (+ Taylor Broadway) to Red Sox for LHRP Jake Diekman
Interesting split on Diekman.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
He's looked really good. I think we shouldn't discount some of the work that Katz can do with him.
-
What is up with Tim Anderson?
The other stuff is likely off the field crap but this is symptomatic of many of the White Sox hitters and again, to me, points back at the hitting coach.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
I don't think this is the case. But I think Menechino's approach is awful with the new baseball that's being used. With the juiced ball, it was fine. But all you have to do is look at the Groundball rates to see the problems. Home runs are down but I do think the approach Menechino has employed is particularly bad.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
To be honest, firing Menechino would improve this team so much and actually make TLR a lot more bearable. A lot of the stuff we get on TLR on is a symptom of not being able to hit home runs. We start hitting the ball out of the park and the TLR stuff becomes moot. At least my two cents. I don't know what the fuck is keeping Menechino.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
A good 10 game stretch likely wins the division for them. I know the Twins got better but they still don't stack up on paper to what the Sox have. Both Lynn and Gio looked really good in their starts.
