Burger, Vaughn and Robert have a lot of home runs. You'd think we might have a better record with some HR pop like that. That said, nice win over the Red Sox. Good stolen base and hit by Elvis to win it. Weird team. That said we'll take the W any ol day. Nice win.

I feel I deserve credit cause I left Chicago many years ago and still am a diehard Sox fan and do not like the Cubs at all. It scares me how I've lost interest in baseball in that I can't name one Cub pitcher or one Cub hitter. Baseball has lost me except for the Sox. I am familiar with the Royals being they are here and i know what's up with them. i feel i deserve credit cause in living here now a million years I never became a Royals fan or Chiefs fan. I have friends who have moved to Arizona and Vegas and immediately became Dbacks fans and fans of that hockey team as well as the Knights. I have supported Chicago teams only. Still a Bears fan, Blackhawks and Bulls though admittedly I'm fair weather in those sports. So no, I can't follow the Cubs. It's not in my realm of possibility. Only Sox. However Sox are as much a trainwreck as I've ever seen, Last year's 500 seemed like a .350 team. This year's team is unlikeable and unacceptable. It's an insult.

Looks like its a false alarm as the Wagner group has turned around and retreated. Wagner group realized it was a suicide mission if Putin still had the support of the military and police which he must have cause they have turned around. ... This was serious enough Putin reportedly was flown away as the Wagner group neared. Hope the CIA is not involved in any way. Our security does not seem assured these days. ... I was despised on the board for arguing against every move during the tank job. I wanted to win every game during the tank years. I wanted to keep Sale and the others. Things have calmed down for me on the board because of Hahn there's not one player I truly care to defend, not one player I totally like, for the first time in my Sox fandom. You can trade any one of these players or get rid of any of the coaches/managers/front office and I won't mind a bit.

Don't really understand the chaos in Russia right now. Seems one military group of Russians are marching toward the Kremlin. Putin according to reports is going to blow these 50,000 troops to smithereens as they are after him?? Can somebody explain? Reading news stories is so frustrating. They are never easy to understand the basics. This seems kind of serious. If some group is after Putin and he fears for his life, anything can happen with him and nukes IMO.

Heard on the twitter highlight of the postgame show Ozzie and the other guy talking about no excitement in Sox dugout when Timmy got the run in. That's it. Final straw. Fire the manager and hire frickin Ozzie or AJP, somebody, anybody to kick some butt in the dugout/locker room. These guys get paid too much $$$, beer costs too much for the loyal fan, for them not to care!!! This is absurd. Sox have no will to win at all. Manager's fault. Does he even want to be manager?

I was against all of it. But Hahn was a hero on this board and in Chicago. People were ecstatic about the tank job/rebuild. They loved seeing the losses pile up and the roster change. The sentiment was almost like this tank job was the only way to go and the Sox were gonna reap the benefits of the tank, getting better draft choices and those few blockbuster deals: Cease, Eloy superstars. Kopech, Gio and even Lopez lol. Hahn was beloved during the tank job; go back and look at the posts. Fraud.

Sox are 12th in payroll. My guess is Sox will be about double that in the future 24?

Agreed. This team is as bad as it looks on paper. Poorly constructed ballclub with lousy medical staff/trainers. Or at least it appears that way with guys getting hurt a lot.

So the Sox had one little stretch this season they played OK. What an abysmal joke of a season. I wonder if LaRussa coulda had these stiffs play .500 for the season or if the team was destined to be worse than last year no matter what.

What is it about the Sox that brings out angry comments from managers and coaches (remember Coop?) and players once in a while. Our fans are mild compared to other fans of losing teams. A first-year manager is comfortable enough to say that about bring it to Jerry if u don't like it? That's pretty screwed up. Pedro isn't exactly Tom Lasorda. Jerry should axe him and promote Ozzie. Why not? The media has changed, They're not going to have anybody blast Oz for his former comments. It's Oz time whether some of u like/realize it or not. Man, four hits won't cut it. So inept. Let's face it, we have a great highlight film ready to be made of Vaughn homers, Robert, Eloy, BurgerKing,, but they hit them so infrequently. ... Let's face it. They all once in a long while tee off on the baseball. But their consistency is nada. If those four get consistent someday, look out. Not sure if they are valuable prospects or not, but again Vaughn's homer tonight was majestic. Other than that, crud. What's with the starting pitcher going 4? Was he dogbleep? Pitch count was still under 90. Our starters by the way throw way too many pitches. Another trouble spot. We do stink. Unloveable bad team.

No offense to baseball, but do any of you think the sport is soon to be extinct because of injuries? We've got zillions of players nobody's ever heard of just filling in for injuries players. So please answer, is baseball on the road to extinction? Other points to consider. ... -- Games are faster now which is good. -- No pitchers in this new modern era will ever make the Hall again. Too many injuries will keep the K totals out of Hall range, Nobody cares about W/L anymore or ERA, so there are virtually no more Hall of Fame candidates toeing the slab. -- No stolen base intrigue any more. Only Hall of Fame stat of interest will be HR hitters but careers are starting to die in early 30s so no longevity means no Hall of Fame. Without heroes ... is baseball dying? When will it officially be dead or at least irrlelevant? Peace out. All the Sox seemingly do is get hurt.
