QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) Dude, him getting a groundball there has absolutelt nothing to do with blown saves 6-7 weeks ago. He was facing a lefty in Patterson. Just strike him out.

QUOTE (Maxwell @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:21 PM) He can't strike everybody out. The guy hit a grounder. It happens sometimes. People are overreacting. I wish people would be as forgiving at my job if I sucked as badly as Matt has this season. And he makes millions.

Not good. s***ty pitches by Crain. They are screaming 'hit me.'

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) do u think making him a closer ruined him? Maybe. He certainly looks like just another hack reliever now.

QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) How is that Matt's fault? He got a routine grounder to the second base position, there just wasn't a 2Bman there. Easy. He can't strike anybody out.

Is Matt just another horses*** reliever now?

What happened to the Matt who got strikeouts?

QUOTE (flavum @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) Easy decision to take Jackson out of the rotation. He made the decision for them. Yes he did. Nice pickup by Lexi, though. DP. Cubs down 6-0. Whose fans boo more? Ours or theirs?

What a horrid outing by Edwin. Bats wake up and we get this outing. Yuk.

f*** this b**** ass mother f***ing team
QUOTE (Real @ May 28, 2011 -> 06:33 AM) that's because they're a bad baseball team with bad management and coaching I agree, so shelve the slogan. No matter what happens the rest of the way, we weren't truly All In. Record will be too pedestrian for that.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2011 -> 05:14 AM) Keep in mind, Pena is "only" making $1.6 million this year, so he'd have to be 3-4 times as bad as Linebrink salary wise. I didn't realize that. I thought he was one of those big salary flops. $1.6 isn't bad at all.

2010-2011 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ May 27, 2011 -> 07:40 AM) I don't entirely buy this. Wade is 29 and is breaking down more and more every game. Bosh is still inconsistent and unless something happens with the CBA, they still won't be able to bring in supporting players that will fill holes. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2011 -> 01:05 PM) About all I have to say about this is go Mavs, I won't watch a second of the series, and fix the CBA quickly. 1.) Bosh looks pretty damn good to me. 2.) Why wouldn't you watch the series? Dirk vs. the Big 3 is kind of compelling I think.

Pena has talent? He's awful basically every other outing. And he's been that way a while. I get the feeling he'd suck even in the minor leagues. Some guys just can't get people out. He's one of them.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 28, 2011 -> 04:54 AM) Tony Pena is the worst reliever since Rojo Johnson. And atleast Rojo had some personality. Pena has given up at least a run in 6 of his last 10 appearances. His ERA is over 6. Going by production per salary, is he the worst pitcher in White Sox history? I know Sox have had some horrific pitchers, but most are just low paid guys. I guess one could argue Linebrink vs. Pena as worst ever, taking salary into consideration?

Gamethread? White Sox V. BlueJays?
QUOTE (oldsox @ May 28, 2011 -> 04:38 AM) I've seen players quit before, but can't think of managers quitting. Has Ozzie gone that far? Ozzie shoulda been fired weeks ago. I doubt he's quit, though. What makes you think he's quit. His team is full of a lot of bad baseball players. Some good pitchers, though.

f*** this b**** ass mother f***ing team
The All In slogan should be mocked every single day. The team hasn't sniffed .500 since the first week or 10 days.

Gamethread? White Sox V. BlueJays?
Pierre got 3 of the 5 hits and yet some people thing he'll be DFA'ed. Yeah right.

6 man rotation
Either keep the six man or move Jackson to the pen. Moving Humber would ruin the nice run he's on and turn him back into the old Humber.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 27, 2011 -> 05:32 PM) I still refuse to consider the Indians as first place. I see us as 2.5 back from Detroit for 1st place. I think you are crazy. Ever hear of surprise teams that win divisions? You think the Twins on paper have had great teams the last several years? s*** happens. Cleveland will finish ahead of the Sox barring more and more injuries.

2010-2011 NBA Thread
People that think the Mavs have a chance are crazy. The only way the Mavs can win is if Bosh somehow has a horses*** series but I don't think that's going to happen. If Miami gets the first two, this thing may be a sweep. I'd say Miami in five though. If the Bulls could only make it to five, no way the Mavs will make it past five. This sucks because the Heat, barring injury to LeBron, are gonna be around a long time.

Build Around Phil Humber
He definitely deserves to keep starting. Jackson or Danks should be bullpen bound.

Realistic Adam Dunn expectations
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 27, 2011 -> 07:00 AM) This. Yet I still am not worried about him or am any less excited about him being on the sox for some reason. Probably because he's new. It takes a while to hate the new players. That's human nature. Some people still don't think Rios sucks as he's been here what, three years now?

Games won by the White Sox on 5/26/11 = 1
You Pierre haters might want to tip your cap his way. He got 2 more hits and is not doing so bad the last month. I mean it's OK to despise him, but to not forgive him for those early errors is stupid. Several guys have been just as bad or WORSE. Spread the hate around. Praise Juan today. And oh yes, Humber! Sergio appears to be the real deal as closer. I hope we can put a good team around him as he dominates a year or two cause being a closer is hazardous to one's health (aside from Yanks). Soria sucks this year and he was unhittable for a couple years. Feliz was on DL and doesn't appear as nasty either.
