White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Don't play him if he's not ready. He's in the f***ing lineup.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Doesn't Adam Dunn make a lot of money? How bout doing something soon, Mr. Dunn.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Well we know it's home run derby time. Nobody's trying to get on base.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Do we have anybody with a "closer's mentality?" Obviously not. This team is in deep trouble without a closer (obvious statement of the century I know).

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
It's impossible to look so good during games then implode late night after night.

AND THAT'S AN ALEXEI WINNER!!!
First of all, great bomb by Lexi. Loved it. I don't know why everybody wants to designate a closer on this team. The minute we call Santos the closer he'll probably fail as well. Just let Ozzie play his gut and give different guys opportunities to close. Yes I would go with Sergio, but you still can give Sale and Thornton some opportunities as well,. It's too bad Pierre can't catch a fly ball when Thornton is pitching. Who knows? He might have a save or two.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Lexi with 2 home runs. Didn't he suck in April last year? Not this year. Way to battle, white sox and win. The A's piss me off.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Lexi hits a no doubter. Man. I'm speechless. Way to go, Lexi.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
I still say we just need baserunners in extras. Sickening our approach in extras this year and last.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
AJ and Rios each had a pitch to drive.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
At least Rios worked the count. Pitch coulda gone either way. Typical Sox bad luck and K.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
QUOTE (bulokis @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:34 AM) Tony pena's only contribution since we got him was giving up the lead and mop up. Awful trade. It's amazing how many runs that guy gives up. Man he is mediocre to s***ty.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Don't need a home run. Get on base, White Sox.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
The crowd goes wild. Nice pitch. Can we win on a walk off? I mean WTF, let's win.

White Sox vs. Oakland A's
This is Twins' first series against Central Div. I think. Twins rule the Central. Always do.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Walks don't cut it. Sale overthrew that one. s***.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Twins win in their half of the ninth. Walk off base hit. Twins seem to get up for teams in the Central year after year.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
As much as we struggle with the A's, with those 3 particular hitters up, you'd think we could at least get somebody on base. Geez. Weak ass ninth inning, White Sox sluggers. All-In is sounding like a dumb slogan. 6-4 isn't all in, it's mediocrity.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
Bad call by ump. s***. Damn. Paulie didn't get anything into that.
-
White Sox vs. Oakland A's
We're not playing good baseball, folks. It's Sergio and pray for rain.

Paul Konerko named AL Player of the Week
I just want to say we can b**** all we want (our record should be better than what it is today) but Paul Konerko is one consistent son of a b****. What a stud. Congrats on the award; stay locked in as you were all last season, Paulie. You are one of my favorite Chicago athletes of all time! f***ing stud.

Why Did We Pull MB last night?
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) Can someone please tell me why they brought in thornton to face two righties instead of a righty. This is the problem I have with lefty closers. Righties lick their chops. I voted Matt for closer though just because last year at times he was so nasty and I felt he deserved the chance first. Now I want closer by committee all the way. Sergio first up.

Why Did We Pull MB last night?
Only one on the board? I voted for MT as closer but many many people didn't.

Why Did We Pull MB last night?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) I have yet to see a fanbase that wasn't smarter than their manager... Amen. Name a manager/coach that doesn't get second guessed when their team loses. It's always been this way; always will be. Some fans feel better criticizing all the manger's moves that fail just as many fans always call for the second-team quarterback to enter the game until he finally does for a few games and he sucks as bad as the starter. I do think Mark should have been given the opportunity to finish the shutout, though. Saving him for the rest of the season/career is stupid. You can't predict the future. Let him start the ninth inning, though i tell you if he imploded in the ninth, the fans would have been just as mad at Ozzie for not pulling him.

2010-2011 NHL thread
After reading what you all said in response to my questions ... I see no way the Hawks win more than two games this series. No way. Our goalie sounds like he's been overworked. And he's young. With no backup, it could get ugly. Feel free to respond as I am only going off what I've learned of late in this thread. I am a playoff bandwagon fan sadly.
