  1. That it's ridiculous to always post negative s*** about somebody. No, he is not horrid defensively. He is not a train wreck out there defensively. He's average to below average defensively, not horrible. It was a great f***ing catch and people are b****ing about it.
  2. Keep searching for that perfect player. Maybe you'll find one. A-Rod? Pujols?
  3. I think trading Viciedo would be extremely dumb as would not giving him the 3B job. Just say no to Teahen.
  4. Hawk is not an embarrassing buffoon. He's a homer and admits it. Hey, if GQ listens enough they will find most team's TV crews are homers, but they try to act professional until they in their oh, so serious voices, get on the umpiring or criticize the other team's players while never criticizing the home team. That grows old. At least Hawk is out there, admits he's a homer and caters to Sox fans. I mean my god, Hawk b****es about the umpiring but so do all crews. The baseball teams have the right to approve all announcers and the announcers know it. I love Hawk. He's a blatant incredible homer. So what? The other crews I've heard are very dull and the announcers have voices that make you want to turn down the sound. and this post said it all for me! How true. I live in NYC and have Extra Innings, too, which means, as you state, we get to sample many if not all of the other broadcast teams. And having the opportunity to do so makes me appreciate the Hawk and Stone Pony so much more than I might otherwise. They actually "entertain" you during the game. I mean, if I had a dime for every one of these cookie cutter play-by-play guys out there with their rehearsed, professional voices just blandly calling the game - well, let's just say, I'd have a whole stack of dimes lying around.
  5. It sounds dumb to say after today, but we need another bat or 2.

This is easy. Teahen should not be a regular and all will be fine. Dayan has proven he's worthy of playing A LOT. The guy can hit. Play him just as we did Beckham last year. Teahen should play third once in a while, spelling Dayan. Omar should spell Beckham at second. Omar can also be a late inning guy at third defensively. Beckham and Dayan should be the regulars. Their youth is needed in this lineup to go with the oldsters. That is all.
  7. This either proves times are changing or the all star game just plain sucks. It used to be fans loved their players to be in the game and didn't worry about meaningless stuff like a player getting rest for a few days.
  8. Go ahead. They buy their pennants.
  9. Viciedo should play every day at third. There I said it. Fuk Teahen.
  10. I also dropped CQ. I try not to think about that. chw I will resist responding. You are one of the most demanding fans I've ever seen.
  11. There have been so many things said this season where the person ultimately got OWNED. Including me. Just about everybody has been owned by this team at some point.
  12. There are gonna be a lot of pitchers used in this one, today. Can the Sox slop out a victory?
  13. Thanks Quin. Life is short to stress about every f***ing thing in sports. GO PAULIE!
  14. Some people take sports too seriously. I want to see Paulie in the all star contest, cause the contest exists and I want to see him hit in it. Who gives a f*** if there's some hex? The article said otherwise. Enjoy life! Dont worry. Be f***ing happy people!

Hawk isn't getting older, he's getting better.
  16. He looks great. Even when he really stunk he was knocking in runs, so I think he's back. I hope so.
  17. As I recall almost everybody was blasting the team pretty hard and almost everybody thought it was over, me included. There were a couple folks as I recall stressing, "It's early," but I think it's safe to say MOST wanted this thing blown up and to start trading veterans fast and furiously. I congratulate those who thought it was early. It was two months in and we just sucked balls.
  18. I hope he IS in the home run contest to make it f***ing interesting. DIdn't you read the article somebody posted with stats that indicate performance does not dip after playing in the contest? Put Paulie in the HR contest!
  19. Great great victory. 7 in a row. I wish Detroit had lost, but what the heck. We won!
  20. If we win this game, to have ANOTHER 7 game win streak is amazing.
  21. Nice frickin pitch, Putz. Avilas ain't a bad hitter. Good job.
  22. I'm all for Putz being in, I just wondering why Pena is warmin' up.
  23. Is Bobby hurt? Why Pena warming up? Good out, Putz. Nice pitch.
  24. Putz to close tonight it appears.
  25. I'd be all in favor of just letting Matt close this out tonight. With Zack tomorrow, take no chances today.
