OK. Well then he should feel special because there's something about him or his game that has made the Blue Jays at this time think he's a valuable sub. Obviously I'm not the only person thinks he's worthy of wearing a big league uniform. He's wearing one tonight. I never said he should play every day. But to tell me he flat out sucks is just wrong. He is capable of playing a role on a big league team and earning the minimum salary. And I didn't bring his name up tonight on this thread. Somebody pointed out he hit a big home run and the discussion ensued.

As far as being a Key reserve. He can ... Run. Field. Run. Field. And has a knack of getting some clutch hits. Should he be on a roster? Yes. Should he play a ton? Probably not. Should he play some? Yes.

I've written on here I have no problem with Teahen playing 2 times a week or being a key reserve. I don't deny he has a spot in the big leagues. As a regular? And a 3rd baseman? No. And that line above is just bulls***. Wise has a job now and should have one. You think he can't help a big league baseball team on a limited basis?

Uh the uniform he is wearing begs to differ. He is playing ... and excelling tonight in the big leagues. He is a quality bench guy. How can you not see that? There is value in his speed and glove and occasional pop. He had some big hits for the white sox as well as THE CATCH. I like Wise. Some of you act like praising him for the catch is a bad thing. It was a great great moment in Sox history. WTF.

He cost Mariana Rivera a blown save this year with a 3 run bomb. Rivera has blown 2 saves total. Do you watch him like tonight? He glides after the f***ing ball. He's a quality reserve. He just is. And some of the posts comments about him bordered on hate. Hate may not be too strong a word.

If this game cant start til 9:30 don't you think it's dead? How can they start a game that late? Dumb.

Then why wasn't all the hate directed to the manager? People are smart. They should know. The guy can play baseball. He's a good reserve.

Not really, but I really do think most every manager is disliked after every loss by his/her fanbase. s***, if the Sox lose all a hater has to do is criticize that day's lineup and that hater is the winner of the argument. How can you argue. If the team wins, however, Oz rarely gets any credit. A lot of people insist he gets little to no credit for 05. The dumbest argument EVER is that he just rode the pitchers as they threw complete games. Uh ... most managers wouldn't have even considered letting their pitchers go more than 7 or 8. If he's sent down I hope we have second baseman by committee: Lilly Omar and Teahen because giving the job to any one of them won't be any better than Beckham IMO.

Why do you want him set down so much? I don't understand why that is the cure all? Have him sit a while and hopefully the competitive juices will take over. Then maybe he'll start hitting. Sometimes I think people just want him sent down so they don't have to think about him anymore. We actually need him on this team. Lilly is not the answer. Omar is too old. Teahen stinks as well.

Well if anybody in this organization wants Jones to play every home game once he hits 399, then any and all of these people should be deemed dunces and have to wear dunce caps to every home game until he hits such home run.

With all due respect, I think you've lost your mind. Nobody cares about his 400 home runs. Nobody and the Sox know that. Nobody would buy a ticket to see him hit it; nobody gives a f*** about his milestone. He is an awful hitter.

Great post. I'd just be worried in this day and age about letting a kid go with a stranger anywhere that's why I wonder how you handle that. The responsibility of taking a young niece to a game would be mind boggling. Some lunatic could kidnap her or whatever. Maybe most families don't let the uncles take the nieces to games until she's bout 10.
