Great win. Don't like when Peavy gets all mad when replaced. It was the right call to bring in relief. He gets taken deep and he's a loser tonight. Gotta trust the bullpen at that stage. I know he's had a good May. I pointed that out while still saying he and his pitty pat bat sucks. He's on pace for about 15 RBIs this year.

What do you mean? We were told after the trade he'd be fine at third base. The Royals had screwed him around moving him all over the place. I hate the winter when all these moves are justified. Then you see the guy play and blah. Same with Pierre. He's crap. But they sell him all winter as our new great leadoff man. Sure. Our team would be .500 at least if we brought back all of last year's regulars for this season, including Thome and Dye and Pods, leaving Beckham at third. This team should have stood pat if it was going to field a horses*** everyday lineup like this one.

Who do you want to bat second? And how that would it matter ultimately when out of these nine players six are currently sucking? You tell me how to best optimize this lineup tonight? He goes with what he's got. You want him to throw Thornton every day? To set up and close as well? What bullpen guys you confident in besides Thornton? Optimizing the lineup? What does that mean? How many of our starters have been utter crap? How you going to optimize anything there? Our team sucks; our manager is fine. I wish he'd remember the days he played and realize he doesn't have to "rest" guys so much but that's my only beef. I'd rather pick out the best players and play them every day, but that's just me. Maybe he just doesn't have the stomach to watch some of these stiffs play every day and has to sit them for his own sanity.

Who cares about some stupid poll? You trust the people that ran the poll? The reason the players put Ozzie and Piniella if indeed they did ... uh they actually hear about them and see them on TV rather than the no names all over baseball. Of course some might mention Oz and Lou because they have actually heard of them instead of the dead puppets all over baseball. Most managers you can't pick one from another. Oz and Lou ... you know they are around. Ozzie rocks!

So I guess you are part of the fan base that wants mediocre Mark out of the lineup every day? Or you wanted Mediocre Mark to DH and Omar at third? Remember in the offseason many saying Mark would be fine at third, his natural position, since he'd no longer be f***ed around like the Royals f***ed him around, moving him all over the field? WRONG. He simply is a utility player. Reinsdorf has to be sick paying him that kind of money to be Mediocre Mark Teahen.

If Ozzie was playing instead of managing now at whatever age he is, he'd have had as many, likely more RBIs than Pierre, Teahen and Becks and that is simply amazing. Danks, who is not ready, would have more RBIs than those guys. Just saying. Some of our guys' production is the worst ever imaginable. Like somebody stated, a pitcher would have way more RBIs than Pierre.

I realize it's a business. My take is Jerry will save a lot of cash by dumping Mark. Cards will want him and offer something. We have a dysfunctional organization. There will be no vote of confidence. Oz and KW are both former players; Oz was the better player. Oz doesn't treat Kenny as his "boss." Oz doesn't care what KW thinks of him or anybody else. So no vote of confidence is needed. KW would obviously fire Oz now if he had the power. The team has been horses*** for a while; all teams need a scapegoat. After our performance down the stretch last year and this Royals-like start to 2010, Oz would be gone if KW could fire him. Jerry prolly won't let KW make Oz the scapegoat since Jerry considers Oz a son. Gotta love the dysfunction. The only wildcard is money. Jerry loves money like all rich f***s do. So Jerry will have to do something since no money is to be made on this team in parking, concessions, tickets, and sale of gear.

Good question. I can't imagine any fans who do not already have tickets heading out to the Cell to watch this. I mean, baseball is fantastic, but it is kinda expensive to go to a game. Minor leagues might be a better bang for the buck until we turn the team around.

I wonder what team gets AJ? We'll get two lousy prospects if we're lucky; probably one plus cash which should please Jerry who will want to cut payroll and get some cash in the process as KW cleans house. I wonder who gets Paulie? And Mark? Should be interesting. Mark to the Cardinals probably for 2 lousy prospects even tho he's worth more than that. Paulie to ?? I wonder if some contender would overpay for Paulie.

Truly do love your optimism. I just think ahead of 2 more games with Mark Teahen and Pierre on the team and Randy Williams and some of the others and it makes me sick.

Can you believe the turning point (ha ha) of this game if there was one? Yuni makes a good play in the field to rob us of a run, then immediately hits a HR an WE ARE DONE for the nite. Six f***ing hits. If you are a Royals fan, that's a nice crisp victory. Those fans had fun tonight dusting off our s*** team.
