  1. I could see moving AJ up. Oz certainly loves Kotsay, but AJ is a much much much much better hitter.
  2. Like so many have said, that was a perfect opener. When have we had one THAT perfect? I mean enough runs and hitting, including the long ball, to please everybody. Awesome starting pitching and phenomenal eighth inning setup to an overpowering Thornton. Perhaps what will turn out to be the best defensive play in all of baseball this season and a gem in center by Rios to end the game. Games like that make me not care about any individual lines in the box score. Who cares who had an 0-fer. What a great team win. Hopefully we can keep playing excellent baseball like that. Did anybody see that coming? Such a clean game in the opener? I know the Indians suck, but who cares about that.
  3. Did he get booed at the Cell or not? Why would anybody boo our most famous fan? It is so cool he'd whip out the Sox cap on the mound in Washington. The Cubs would kill to have this guy as THEIR fan. I remember reading quotes last year from some Cub exec that it's great he loves the Sox but they wouldn't mind him at least recognizing them occasionally as well. OBAMA RULES!
  4. No game Tuesday. Players should go get drunk and do it again Wednesday. WOW.
  5. Geezus we look like the best team in the history of baseball. Congrats Mr. Rios.
  6. My god, what great pitching by Thornton there. Overpowering.
  7. Through eight innings Kenny has to be so happy. We still have hit two homers, great pitching and no problems on defense. So far so good. This is what home openers are supposed to be like.
  8. That should be huge for Rios. New beginning. He should feel great about that blast.
  9. Is Bill Melton a good announcer? He was a good hitter back in the day.
  10. Would be nice to shut these guys out. Great opener so far, White Sox. Impressive.
  11. Nice to see Putz going after the hitters.
  12. Geez, Grudzelanek (sp) is still in baseball? Finishing his career with KC, then the woeful Indians. Wow. Beats working for a living.
  13. They do suck but they might as well be nice on Opening Day.
  14. I think it's dumb to be talking about Andrew Jones being available to pinch hit there. That's stupid. We're winning 4-0 and it's early in the game and you don't yank starters that early.
  15. OK. I can buy that argument, Bolt. A little lofted fly ball woulda been nice.
  16. Too early in the game to be yanking veteran players.
  17. I don't know what you mean by approach, Thunder. He was going against a lefty and making contact.
  18. Oops I jinxed Mark. A DP ain't so good, but it is 5-0.
  19. Great smash hit to right! Glad that was no web gem. Carlos gets hit again!
  20. Mark's hustle just to go get that ball was amazing.
  21. Is anybody's mlb.com not working so well today?
  22. Typical corporate America. They spend zillions on effective ad campaigns, get a great one, then some people that have too much time on their hands decide, "You know what ... we're only known for that duck. Get rid of it." Real smart. Somebody's gonna get fired over that one me thinks. GO SOX!
