5/12 White Sox (18-18) vs LA Angels (22-17)
Just like the inning with the walk, look for the Angels to take advantage.

5/12 White Sox (18-18) vs LA Angels (22-17)
I'm feeling that we've already wasted some prime opportunities at the plate. Not good against a good team on the road.

The Sox already have 8 hits, just four runs. Logic would suggest the team is about done for the night hitting wise. Cabrera's at bat was horrible considering we had their stiff pitcher on the ropes.

OC is a veteran, must get a hit here.

Single to center, love the sound of that.

His batting average suggests he's doing OK. He's not bad as far as catcher's go. That last at bat however sucked.

5/12 White Sox (18-18) vs LA Angels (22-17)
This has probably already been mentioned but it's time to knock out this no name pitcher. If we hope to split or do better in this series we need to win this particular matchup.

He probably should if the thumb is a problem. Too bad Fields is hurt. Konerko could rest the thumb a month or so.

We have a good looking lineup on paper, but not so much in reality.

It would be nice to see Thome and Konerko start resembling the Thome and Konerkos of their prime.

If Matthews gets a hit, keep all bats out of Mark's reach on the bench.

Mark knows better than to walk the leadoff hitter especially on the road.

White Sox Player/Pitcher of the Month: April
1.) I don't care about opposing fans; they are our announcers. 2.) Yes. the Royals announcers complain about calls A LOT. 3.) I personally like their banter about when they played. I think they are interesting. Kill me, but I do. 4.) Yes, to me he is. 5.) Dunno. His homerism about the other pitcher being Sandy Koufax might bother me once in a while, but not a lot. 6.) Already covered. I think he fills space pretty well. 7.) I'm not a big DJ fan. I really like Hawk.

White Sox Player/Pitcher of the Month: April
I voted Carlos and Vaz. I wish our veterans' bats had the pop of Quentin's right now. BTW, I thought Hawk and Jackson called a great game on Saturday night. I watched it and was entertained and thought they had some great insight on things. Don't know why there seems to be a lot of anti-Hawk venom on here.

Sox (18-17) @ Seattle (14-24) 3:10 PM
Just seems like a mediocre at best team. Hopefully the other teams in the division continue playing no better than .500ish ball as well. Nobody in the division is doing anything right now except hanging around first place.

Too bad Gavin didn't have it today. It looked good at 2-0 after one. Seriously, does anybody see a scenario in which the Sox finish BETTER than .500 this year?

It was good to win the series, but it would have been nice to sweep and get that extra win on the trip, considering we likely will lose at least 3 of 4 to the Angels. Why do the Sox strand so many runners?

And there's your White Sox latenight /early morning winner !
Yup you did. I don't know how to kill my thread. Kill it baby! Sox win!

Oops, kill my thread. I started it at the same time ... sorry Quentin Rocks!

Nice breakup of the DP by Uribe the other day. He saves the inning if not the game with the scoop of Dotel's crummy throw and bullet to the plate tonight. Quentin ... wow. Nice job by Anderson hitting the bomb. Linebrink again does quite well. Dotel doesn't implode. Thornton doesn't walk anybody and does job in ninth. Swish busts out of his funk a bit. Offense raps a lot of hits again. Keep it up White Sox!

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WEST COAST WINNER!!!!
I'm glad they got a meaningless run off Bobby. If you are ever going to give up a run, that was time. He's not going to pitch the whole month without giving up a run, so I'm glad he got one out of the way there.

Nick Swisher
I agree with Balta and I wouldn't against Oz doing it.

I love the way Linebrink mowed through the eighth. Loved the way Bobby didn't mess around in the ninth, homerun was meaningless. I loved Jose's line. Love BA's contributions this year. Nice to see Thome bash a homer. Cmon Sox. String some good baseball games together!

Positive Catch All
Brian is at the stage he deserves at least 300 at bats. C'mon Oz, get him some playing time.

Sox (16-17) @ Mariners (14-22) 9:10 pm, CSN
I wonder if Oz and KW are tempted to play Anderson again tomorrow.
