I'm not a big OC fan. He and Swish have been as productive as last year's Toby Hall.

Please, Bobby, be on your game tonight. Four runs isn't great, but should be enough against this foe.

I wonder why my puter won't support mlb.com. I need to be able to watch more Sox games than I am getting at this present time.

The bullpen better not blow this for Jose. How many pitches has he thrown?

I haven't been able to watch a lot, no. So I'll trust you guys on Swish. I just wish for once somebody we acquire would excel from the start.

Beautiful blast! In a perfect world, somebody would have been on base.

Hopefully the day off will cure what ails Swish. But I'd rather have him replaced than Dye to make room for BA.

I know Silva is having a decent year, but we should be scoring more than a 3 spot on that hack.

Are you convinced Swish will bust out? Steve Sax never did.

It's Anderson time. Seriously. Quentin, Anderson, Dye should be our OF. Trade Swish for prospects.

Oh those bases on balls.

You think we're done scoring? Or do we have more runs in us tonite?

The way Swisher is hitting, I'd be all for BA playing a lot. Sick of Swisher making outs. Glad he's being rested.

Why can't we take control of the game instead of immediately giving up some runs?

Can we finally play well on the west coast?
I sort of agree with Stoney but I think 5-5 really wouldn't prove anything. 2-8 or 3-7 I think we're done.

So who's the idiot
How bout Griffey for Dotel and Uribe. Or Dunn for Uribe and Brian Anderson. Or Griffey for Anderson. I like Brian but obviously KW and Oz don't.

Nick Swisher
I wish a reporter would do an indepth piece on days off for players. Let's say a DH takes a day off. OK, does he still hit BP the full time? Still do all the other stuff? Get to park early, et. all? That means all he does not do is take official hacks in his four plate appearances. Is a day off beneficial to a DH? Or a first baseman?? I mean they still are doing very little physical activity. I think days off are overrated. Now a week off for Swisher might get his head out of his butt. Or play Anderson a full series and rest him a full series to see if BA can actually hit better than Mr. sub .200.

So who's the idiot
I wouldn't be against some kind of trade with the Reds right now. But obviously not CQ. How bout Dunn and somebody else for Paulie or Thome. They can take pick.

Can we finally play well on the west coast?
This trip is scary because suddenly it's a must we get our act together after that last trip. Best case scenario in my mind with the team's confidence shaken after the last trip is 2 of 3 versus Seattle and SF and 1-3 versus the Angels. That would be 5-5. I'd take that now. I fear 1-2 vs. SF and Seattle and 0-4 vs. the Angels who are good enough to sweep us and that's be a horrific 2-8. If I had to guess, I'd say 4-6.

2008 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I didn't know how to do a poll, so I didn't start a new thread asking what everybody thought our record would be on this upcoming road trip. It scares the s*** out of me. The Angels are flat out good. Seattle and the Giants stink. Best case scenario: Somehow win 2 of 3 versus both Seattle and SF and lose 3 of 4 to LA. That would be a 5-5 trip. Worse case scenario: Lose 2 of 3 to both Seattle and SF and all four to Angels. That'd be 2-8 and coming home to play Cleveland we'd pretty much be buried just as we were last year early on. I will be optimistic and say we'll go 4-6. Any predictions?

Feast or Famine White Sox Offense will Take Years to Fix
That was a good article and scary. The article pretty much indicates this team cannot score near enough runs to win. I would suspect the team will start getting KILLED on the road like last road trip and play probably just under .500 ball at home.

Nick Swisher
He needs more than a day off. How bout a week of Anderson.

Ozzie quote in the Sun-Times today
Dumb quote by Ozzie. The hitting has been a major problem obviously. Can you imagine what our record would be if the team had hit at all the last couple weeks?
