Then JR should keep him on the payroll somewhere with other job responsibilities. I agree coaches aren't the ones hitting but like several on here have said, at some point somebody has to take the fall. The team continues to suck at the plate under him. Walker should be kept on in some capacity if JR loves him, but Baines should be made hitting coach immediately. No changes will happen, though. Oz and KW will say nobody was complaining a week and a half ago when the team was more comfortably in first place.

Hate to say it but I fear he speaks the truth. Now the real baseball begins, the daily grind.

When are Swish and Cabrera going to loosen up the team again as they allegedly did when we were winning big in early April? This team resembles a bunch of zombies right now, at least at the plate. Is was a matter of time before we had a bad road trip, though. We've been playing s*** at home for the most part, better on the road until these last 2 flameouts.

Good for you. For the rest of us, we have to wonder how we got 2 hits and mowed down AGAIN by just an average pitcher.

Maybe Reinsdorf should give bonuses to players who hit line drive shots in the gaps and actually drive the ball after hitting it where it is pitched.

I expected more than 4 innings of what I consider sub par pitching against a team of no names. I never said he cost us the game. But I guess I'm in the minority big time so I will now shut up.

That's what we said last year. That's the problem. It's time for Swisher and Cabrera to do what Oz and everybody said they were doing the first couple weeks of the season, bringing the "new attitude." Talk is cheap.

This team is going nowhere if it has the kind of home record it has and goes on the road and drops series to the likes of the Twins. At some point this team needs to start doing something if it hopes to squeak into the playoffs.

Our ss's lack of hitting is growing tiresome. The Sox can't get a clutch hit to save their lives. As expected we just gave away today's game. Masset was nothing. Our ss needs to bat ninth. Maybe we should go back to the days of Pudge Fisk and bat AJP second. Didn't Pudge bat second for a while there? Like somebody said in a recent post. I hope starting Masset isn't just conceding a game to the Twinks. Going 0-2 at Minnesota is not a sign of a contending team.

Are you all for a Richar for Uribe swap? We could use another young guy's enthusiasm. Uribe sucks at the plate as many of you have pointed out all season. Oops I just saw in another thread Richar is out til June. That's not good if that's true.

I don't think our guys are capable of this. They won't hit it where it is pitched more often than not.
