  1. I take it you agree with me. I meant they'd flame me because there are Pods haters galore on here.
  2. That was great stuff. I learned it's mighty tough to kill a cow. Boone is awesome. And he's right; the stuff coming from the stands from fans is asinine.
  3. On TV he appeared safe, but I'll take it.
  4. I thought our offense was good in Tampa. It stunk in KC. Today's game was typical. Nobody could get a clutch hit. Lucky that Garland knows how to field his position. He slowed down that sure base hit up the middle that woulda tied the game. Great road trip in terms of results. I wish Thome would start hitting some bombs. Paulie had some good games on the trip. This may get me flamed but Podsednik's injury could really be key. We play better when he's in the lineup.
  5. Great selection. Garland and Mark B wouldn't be out of place on the team but Bob deserves it over them.

The fanbase should riot if Mark is traded soon. Think about our staff minus Mark. Not nearly as good.
  7. Nice post, Jason. Neat to read how the ex sox are doing and there are so many of them around. I sort of miss Olivo as a backup to AJ of course. And of course I'm one of the Rowand lovers. Maggs ... amazing season. Good for him. If the Sox get rid of Iguchi, will they re-acquire Durham to end his career here as a 40 something?
  8. Too bad Danks couldn't get the win. Another quality start by the Sox. Amazing starting pitching this season. Does Scotty Pods deserve any credit? It seems he's been playing pretty well since he returned. Nice win, Sox.
  9. Is this game thread the shortest in soxtalk.com history? I bet it was.
  10. We make ordinary pitchers (aka the cubs and royals) look like Cy Young on a nightly basis.
  11. I'm at work right now. The game isn't on TV mercifully for me. Oh it's so fun to be a fan of a team that scores a run or two each and every night.
  12. They won't build a statue for him in the outfield, but I also wish he was still a Sox as well as Maggs.
  13. If we would have swept the Royals, it might have been a starting point. Now the good feeling of starting to hit vs. Tampa is gone. To get shut down like that the last six innings is ridiculous. Bannister was bad early. He should have been abused tonight.
  14. Everett can't do any worse than the hacks we've been trotting to the plate.
  15. It pretty much would have taken about 12 in a row which I'm guessing would be the longest win streak in team history. Tonight's loss puts us back in crapville. Sox offense sucks.
  16. I have yet to watch a game this year where anybody on the Sox hits the damn ball. I didn't see any of the Tampa games. It's so frustrating. What a pathetic offense. My god. I am out for now. Have a good weekend. So frustrating after sweeping the Rays.
  17. As bad as KC is, at least they've developed a bullpen. A bad starter (Greinke) is doing well. He sets up Soria who sets up a good closer in Dotel. They have a couple good young hitters who are hot in Teahen and Gordon and DeJesus.
  18. Who cares about limiting the damage. The offense sucked and we lost.
  19. When a team has sucked as badly as the Sox all season, it's up to the veterans to get on a tear EVERY NIGHT til the team gets back to .500. Paulie had to stay hot. After a good series in Tampa, nothing tonight against a horses*** starter. Same with Thome. AJ did get a double. This team had a chance to open up the game with bags loaded one out early against a shaky Bannister. Couldn't do it ... game over. Nice job, millionaires.
  20. But I'm saying the game wa slost by then because of the offense. You manage differently when the game is already over.
  21. Let's hope our stay in last place won't be as many years as KC's.
  22. It isn't Ozzie. It's all about the offense. Can't you see that? We had over 9 hits a game each game in Tampa and won them all. We hit we win. This game was all about our bats.
  23. Game over. The transformation is complete. KC has a better team than the White Sox two years after the title. Amazing.
  24. Count can still pitch, that's for sure. p.s. Why can't we ever get a bunt hit? They can help.
  25. Good move; Gobble sucks. Greinke is a real pitcher. I'm amazed in the games I've watched how anemic this team is. They never have a scoring outburst. They are incapable of it. Do you realize how good the starting pitching has been this season? What a waste.
