And That's a White Sox Loser
Danks isn't exactly lighting it up, either. If the Southtown is right and we deal Garland, our staff might really suck next season.

White Sox Loser
But soxfan, don't you agree the signs are there that Thome is on the major decline? Bad back, he's not hitting any more home runs than Bonds for goshsakes. That shift has confounded him this year for sure as well.

2008 White Sox
I can't believe the Southtown is sold on Owens/Richar. C'mon, those guys may not be big leaguers.

White Sox Loser
I also like Thome but agree his time has come. The shift is tiresome. He never foils it and he's not whacking home runs. That plus his bad back makes him look like he's on the downside. Not that losing him will help this horrible team. The Sox offense is putrid and losing Thome won't help any. It's amazing all our sluggers are hitting about .260 with decreased homer production. Not good.

Sox @ A's 8/15 9:05 CT - CSN
So the entire season our offense has sucked. Amazing. Good thing the ball was lively during our WS year. Good to see another rookie suck at the plate in Richar. My gawd, this is the season from hell. Now we are god awful again.

And That's a White Sox Loser
Man, Fields homered again tonight. That guy is blasting a lotta homers. Maybe it's time to move him to leftfield. If Crede comes back he plays third. Of course if Crede doesn't come back then we're hosed in my scenario. But Fields may be the real deal power wise. I don't know why a lot of you are convinced Richar is gonna be good. It's easy to find a serviceable second baseman like Durham and Richar isn't hitting yet. We need a second baseman to hit at least .270. Owens is still a hitting risk in the of. We definitely need to buy some ballplayers from other organizations if we hope to win next year. Fields looks like the real deal; verdict out on most other of our youngsters except maybe Danks. Danks has done decent hasn't he?

Jermaine Dye or Aaron Rowand?
That's one of the best lines of this dismal season I think. Keep Dye. Don't you think next year the balls will be flying out of the parks again? After the home run dry spell they'll juice the balls again. I still wouldn't mind dealing Thome. The shift is bothersome and he is I fear on the decline cause of his back.

PROPS to Ozzie
What are you talking about? I love Oz, just ask Fathom. I was simply making a point that getting shut out by meatball pitcher Weaver could have cost Oz and KW their jobs and deservedly so. But I am an Oz supporter. I want nobody else as Sox manager.
-
PROPS to Ozzie
Today Oz and Walker are lucky that pathetic performance against Weaver didn't cost them their jobs. Man do the Sox suck on given days. What did Stoney say about this one??

Bobby Jenks...
What he's done is simply amazing. Hopefully his record will never be broken.

And That's a White Sox Loser
I agree with whitesoxfan. Fields will blast 35 or more homers next year. Aren't you all getting sick of all this losing the last year and a half? It sucks.

Will the Sox finish at .500 or better?
No .500 for this team. Veterans in the lineup continue to have sub par years for them especially. Even our reliable starters have a bad outing or two out of five. Rookies are doing OK, but not lighting it up by any means. Bullpen still is scary. I'd say we will finish between 10-15 below .500 probably closer to 15 below.

That's a White Sox loser
Some people on here said that Crede's defense would be missed. Games are not only won on offense; Crede's glove saved more than a few.

That's a White Sox loser
You'd think Buehrle v. Laffey would be a laugher for Sox at home. But nooooo ... we lose. Too bad. The Sox are what they are, not so great.

White Sox vs. Indians, 8/08/07 (W)
It may be too late for next year, but everybody realizes Uribe has a ton of talent. He just hasn't figured it out yet at the plate and it's probably too late for him to do that as a member of the Sox.

That's a SOX winner!!!
Great way to win it after some blown chances. What a pitch by Jose to end the 13th. Nasty.

I love Steve Stone! Go Sox!

White Sox vs. Indians, 8/08/07 (W)
Cmon Sox, muster a run. Any ol run.

White Sox vs. Indians, 8/08/07 (W)
At this point of the night, with a game at home in the 12th inning, with a man on third base, you just win the game. But not the Sox. If we gut out a win here, I'll be amazed.

White Sox vs. Indians, 8/08/07 (W)
If the Sox veterans produced regularly ... we'd be in the pennant race. Nice at bat Darrin. You bum.
-
Bobby Jenks...
You got to love the guy. If and when he blows a save I hope everybody gives him a free pass criticism wise. He's deserving of no criticism for a long time after this stretch.
-
What the hell was Ozzie doing, volume 80 billion
I didn't see the game and didn't see the at bat which I assume was a fly out to right field. But if the shift was on, geez, instead of hitting a deep fly out to right why not try something different Jim? Like rap a single to left to tie the damn game. I like Thome and realize he's leading the team in hitting but like somebody said our veterans AGAIN didn't get the run in. Thome, Paulie (a walk though was OK) and AJ. I assume AJ's ground out was to second. Again, heaven forbid AJ or Thome rap a single to left once in a while. Flame me if his fly out was to left but I'd bet a lot it was to right.

An article to feel good about...
She should have resisted the tempation to write that article. Two hits is not showing life. If the Sox were serious about getting back in it, they wouldn't have wasted another fine start and get two hits off Westbrook and the like. Dismal game.
-
White Sox vs. Indians, 8/07/07 (L)
Typical of the season. Thome, Paulie and AJ can win it. They do nothing. Bad seasons from the three of 'em plus Jermaine of course. I guess Paulie's walk was acceptable.

Two hits? Nice job, Sox.
