  1. Because Kalapse, for whatever reason, I like to win games. It's baseball season and I like when the Sox win. I hate when they lose. I hate it more when they are the laughingstock of baseball. I don't give a s*** about draft picks. I just don't.
  2. That game was horrible. AJ, Dye, what horses*** hitters this year. Owens and Richar, I fear, are not the answer. Big big changes this offseason, should be really wild.
  3. I give a s*** about Iguchi when his replacement can't hit any better than Bee Bee Richard.
  4. Nice job offense, six hits. Good job. Nice hitting, Dye and AJ and Owens and the hitless wonder, Bee Bee Richar.
  5. I still can't root for the White Sox to lose. I don't care about draft picks. There are no guarantees and losing SUCKS.
  6. Maybe the Sox should have a promotion and pick fans from the stands to play third base each inning the rest of the year. A lot of fans would get to play MLB and think of all the relatives who would buy tickets and they couldn't do worse than this hack we have at third the rest of September. --Sammy Sosa loves playing against the Sox. Wait, every ex Sox loves playing against the Sox. Bombs away.
  7. The White Sox need to go overseas and get a Dice K type if they are serious about winning. Also sign free agents galore. The draft is a crapshoot.
  8. I love Ozzie. BTW the people who think getting a top draft pick assures us getting a top player are sadly mistaken. Baseball isn't like football especially if we draft a ... gulp, pitcher.
  9. Iguchi has been fabulous for the Phillies. So has Rowand. The Season From Hell continues. Comparing Iguchi to Richar is like comparing Anna Kournikova to Kathy Griffin.
  10. The year from hell. Nothing goes right.
  11. Why in the world would you want MacDougal and Thornton? What in the world have they shown you? MacDougal is a disgrace to the fine White Sox uniform.
  12. Amen. And no Cisco. No MacDougal. No Richar (sorry Richar lovers). No Thornton. No Boone. No Uribe. No Floyd or Danks. No Erstad, my god, no Erstad. That's a good list for starters. And no Walker. And no Owens except as a reserve.
  13. So would Kenny for putting this horsecrap team together. Erstad. Yeah he was a savior. This s*** bullpen ... nice job KW.
  14. How many former White Sox just beat up on the White Sox? I realize Sosa played for the team a long time ago ... but wow. When will this nightmare end? All the Sox do is lose.
  15. Tizzle said it all. Yes all Sox fans should forever be grateful to this cast of characters who won it all. I think they all deserve the benefit of the doubt for 2 seasons. I never thought of it that way til Tizzle brought it up. I'd think starting next season everybody should be judged with a clean slate, like Tizzle said. But I think they did all deserve these 2 seasons of getting the benefit of the doubt. If the team remains Royals-like in June next year, some heads should roll. Probably Oz first, then KW. I'd prefer the other order, though.
  16. Is there one Sox fan out there who thinks MacDougal should be on this team next year? I'd do a poll, but I don't know how. Get rid of that bum. Geez.
  17. DJ seems like a nice guy, but I don't like him with Hawk, either. If Stone is available it seems like a no brainer. Hawk and Stone.
  18. I think next year is the "fire" year, though I would vote for firing Walker because of this year's horrible offense. I could see firing Cooper also because of the bullpen mess. But really next year is the year I'd start really assessing Ozzie and KW. It appears the team quit on Ozzie. KW made some horrible horrible moves this past year and a half. If the Sox stink again next year after all the moves KW makes this offseason, then I'd think KW could be axed. If the team shows no spark next year Oz as well. That said ... it appears Reinsdorf will fire neither. He appears to be loyal to the guys who brought him a WS and I can't argue with that. It's nice to see some loyalty. I mean these guys were all dumping champagne over their heads just 2 years ago. I'm sure as boss, Jerry figures they couldn't be genuises just two years ago and suddenly know nothing about baseball.
  19. I'm surprised Mariotti didn't jump on the AJ/Cooper incident as another example of Ozzie's team gone out of control and asking for Oz's head. Guess he was too busy writing about Rex.
  20. I did pull a Mariotti there. Him botching that pop up the other day concerned me I guess. I just can see where the poster is coming from. I like Thome but the LOVE for Thome sort of amazes me. And he's injury prone big time at this stage of his career. I think it's time to move on. Thome you have to admit is going to miss more and more games via injury as he continues to age.
  21. One of the reasons we won the WS was our pitching and defense. Fields is going to probably be the worst leftfielder in the league.
  22. Fields' home run total is pretty amazing.
  23. I don't think it's the worst but it definitely is one of the most frustrating and disappointing that is for sure. All the stranded runners and choking of games by the bullpen has made it pretty bad.
  24. Ozzie clearly doesn't deserve an A. It'd be hard to disagree with any argument that the team has quit or looks like a team that has quit. September might be one of the most dismal months in team history, the way our starters are now pitching to go with all the other team weaknesses. Good point about Crede though. In hindsight it would have been nice if he had the surgery in the offseason, especially when it appears the doc did a good job and he's moving around.
  25. I tell you what I would do. I'd make them watch that Series on ESPN "Bronx is Burning" or whatever it's called. I noticed in the highlights of the 1977 Series and playoff Series against the Royals, the Yankees were bashing the baseball WHERE IT WAS PITCHED. What a novel concept. Lefties spraying the ball where it is pitched. Other Yankee righties bashing line drive singles up the midde and to right field. In this awful season, all the Sox do with men on base is pop up. No moving of runners, no hitting it where it's pitched. At least the games I've seen on TV that has been a common thread.
