  1. It upsets me so much because he was an everyday player on our world championship team, has a name still and we get ZERO for him. If we could get no more than what we got, keep him the rest of the year and his value will be low for his next contract anyway if he's as bad as you say. I hope he and Rowand kick ass and lead Philly to the title.
  2. Exactly. If you are happy with getting nobody for Iguchi, fine. I don't understand why people are OK with getting nothing for him. It's not like he is Erstad-bad. KW gave him away. That is disgraceful.
  3. How do you know that? Maybe our GM just sucks. Ridiculous trade. What a joke of a GM. How did he win a World Series is what I want to know at this point. Get some proven major league talent for these World Series championship players. My god, Philly was desperate. They get Iguchi; we get horses*** prospect. How many players drafted where that guy was ever make the big leagues? He could be another Buckwich for Iguchi ... my god. What a disgrace.
  4. That team is Cleveland. Send him back to Cleveland so he can win it with his original team. Aaron Guiel, by the way, is as good as the stiffs we trot out there every night in the outfield. If you want to point out my bad posts, predictions ... point out some of my good ones as well.
  5. We can't trot Count out there for another start. If we don't trade/release him, send his ass down. He's gonna make people rich in Vegas; bet the over when he pitches baby. It's like the Royals released Elarton tonight. He can't pitch anymore; neither can Count. That said ... thanks for the memories.
  6. What that game was, was some mghty bad baseball by the White Sox. So which team is worse; Chicago or KC? Hard to believe we're as bad as the Royals who truly are awful. Nice job giving up 3 in the ninth White Sox, just to make sure a great comeback would not be possible. Horrid team. You must be proud Oz and KW.
  7. We should trade Thome to a contender. Give him a chance to win a crown somewhere. He's contributed to the Sox but he's getting old and remains an injury threat. He deserves to win a World Series. Trade Thome.
  8. Jose was really good during our title season. Turning 50 was his downfall I guess.
  9. If Jose is really 50 years old as he appears to be, the Sox should try to void the contract. He's done. Just release him. We won't get squat for him in a trade. Some Class A guys that will never pan out is all he's worth.
  10. I can't argue with that. What you say is true. I just don't know if I can stand him getting lit up, just as it is normally painful to watch Buckwich pitch.
  11. Send him down now and keep him down. Yuck.
  12. Crede's next contract should be interesting. Nobody is going to pay him squat because of the back woes.
  13. Yeah but that guy could hit, at least that one magical season when all went right until August for the White Sox.
  14. A pessimist would say we are going to lose 7-6 or our bullpen will be Sox-like and we'll lose 12-6. An optimist would suggest we continue this rally and win 10-7. Which is it?
  15. The question is, could we have traded some other guys and still gotten Thome? It seems to me somebody was suggesting the Phils would have taken others for Jimmy. Rowand and Thome would look great together on this team.
  16. I don't blame him for making moves. I just don't like the fact most of his moves blew up in his face.
  17. This is why they should have played some of the rainout makeups back in April. Now we're guaranteed to lose both. Back then, who knows? It was earlier in the season and the team hadn't quit yet and the bullpen wasn't a trainwreck yet. p.s. Does anybody have KW's email address and Ozzie's? I realize this is stupid but I want to put in a request to refuse to play the Cubs in all day games next season. Why are those 3 games in the Cell against the Cub always day games? The Cubs have an advantage in day games. Play the Cubs at night!!! Go Sox!
  18. That is it. We're die hards. But the team does truly suck.
  19. Well said. Owens is not the answer. Nice job tonight by Owens 1-for-6; Iguchi 1-4; Thome 0-5; Paulie 0-4. Way to set the table against the Tigers guys. How bad was Mark? Wow. This team like you said truly is garbage.
  20. Just wonder what you all think? Does Owens stink or is he just learning how to hit in the bigs? I have not been impressed with his slap hitting. Wouldn't Harris have been just as productive as this guy? Just wondering. Does Owens have a future? Or should he have remained in football?
  21. Trade Contreras to the Mets for a minor league shortstop. Or trade him to the Braves for somebody.
  22. Really, when you think about it, we fielded a last place team on Sunday. Look at the lineup. Owens, gee nice of you to once again not get a big hit when it was 3-1 and runner on second and two outs and you weakly fouled off about 10 pitches before feebly popping out. You and your three RBIs have really been productive. What a stiff that guy is. Cintron ... decent backup. Terrible regular. Thome, Konerko, AJ: Go 1-12 combined. We always lose when they don't hit as a group and more often than not THIS SEASON they don't. Dye: Off season. Mack: Good sub. Lousy regular. Fields: Bad baserunning error angered the Hawk today. He has potential obviously. Uribe: Three hits today and we still lose. We need to go in another direction at short. Jon: Stunk today. Has had a good season as have all our starters except the Count. Bullpen: So bad it's laughable. It's a last place bullpen. We stink. We are worthy of the cellar. So slow on the basepaths, incapable of bunting. Bad bad team.
  23. It really sucks to have the roles reversed this summer. The Cubs are the old White Sox. They are in contention and winning every day. We are not and losing most days. This truly sucks.
