  1. Brando, why are your expectations so high?? We are what we are, a team capable of finishing about 12 games over .500 if all goes right. A team capable of sticking close to .500 if all goes wrong. As long as we hang close to the Twinks and take care of business against them, we'll be OK. We are not gonna be a dominant team. Just the way it is. We ain't got the talent for that. We're in the Central for goshsakes.
  2. Did anybody else notice after he screwed up and loaded the bases he actually seemed to pitch well? I thought he had a good fastball and actually looked pretty good once he screwed up and loaded the bases. I could be wrong. Do you guys n gals agree or am I screwy in the head. I coulda swore he had some pop on his fastball and looked like a true closer once the bags were juiced.
  3. Harris got two more hits tonight. Is he becoming a big league hitter? p.s. How good was Uribe's play to end the game. I didn't see the highlights. Was it a bullet to short??
  4. Thank God he didn't blow that nice win for Schonie. I agree a save is a save, I'm just glad that game wasn't on TV here or it'd have been tough to watch Koch "close" that one out.
  5. We're a large market team trying to win the Central with a small market budget. Good line Donkey. I was thinking people would rip my comment about us being a small market team. Brando you are one tough cookie. You want to win pretty? Me thinks you are nuts or like that Cleveland Indians fan in "Major League." You want it all.
  6. 0-4 was a Todd Ritchie like record. Yuk.
  7. 7-5 is good enough this time of year. Winning 3 of 4 vs. Toronto is doing a nice job. We're not the Yankees or Boston, folks. We're a small market team trying to win the Central.
  8. Again....Joe's problem at 3B is that he takes to long to set feet and load up on the throw. Bulls***. He got caught on a tricky hop while playing deep. Gimme a break.
  9. CLEE wasn't listening to ya. That looked like a home run swing. Pop to left. Yikes!
  10. Danny needs to be optioned to Charlotte and then brought back if/when he regains velocity...If not, keep him down there. Well put, azod. Good way to make a point and not unnecessarily bury Danny boy. I wish the fans wouldn't boo/jeer him.
  11. That bunt was huge, brando. There's no way any Sox coulda got a bunt down in that situation a year ago. Congrats Gload, nice job.
  12. Why do you blame Ozzie? It's not his decision to use him as a starter. That's KW's and Dork's. Ozzie decides during the game whether to pull him or not. KW makes the call on if he's in the rotation. I'm sure they both will decide soon that he has to go to the pen. Whether he gets one more start or not, we'll have to see.

Poor Danny appears to be done. Hope he's a better middle reliever. Danny is finished as a starter.
  14. That's it. I will never ever doubt or complain about Joe again. Book it. The guy is a f***ing stud.
  15. It amazing how careers work. I understand your reasonings, but if you are Liefer, imagine how you are just another stiff and Sexson is Sexson. I wonder if Liefer is set for life money wise.
  16. I love Hawk. It amazes me how non-Sox fans I run into that catch a game on GN say he's pathetic and a homer. I still insist Hawk and DJ do more mild bashing of the team when the team is sucking than any crew in baseball. Like the past couple years during the stretches we sucked and were lifeless. My own opinion is if the team is going fairly well they don't obsess about s***, but Hawk I feel is a pleasure to listen to. In fact I feel he's the best.
  17. Oops sorry about the double post. I thought my first post didn't post. Mea culpa.
  18. I agree Danny should remain in the rotation for a while since he won the job in spring training. You are right. It would send a bad message to panic especially with our team off to a non-Royals like start. It's not like we're 7-15. We are doing OK. It's not all Oz's decision anyway. He's not the only guy running the show.
  19. Anybody who thinks this is Oz's decision alone is wrong. I agree that Wright won it in spring training, the team is not off to any Royals-like start, so might as well let him have 10 starts or so.
  20. How come Liefer never made it? Comments?
  21. I mean "as long as we're winning" and we are winning so far. p.s. The Royals suck.
  22. As long as we're willing I'm willing to remain neutal on him. He's actually hitting better than I thought he would. I thought he'd pull a .150 on us.
  23. Nice win. I was going to start a threat gushing about how well we're hitting the ball, but I won't jinx us that way. So far it sure looks like we have the talent to contend. If Oz can keep us playing like we care, we've got a chance.

Maybe we should treat Rowand like Crede. Give em a full year in the lineup and watch each hit .280 to .300.
  25. I agree, no reason to bash JM. He had his share of nice wins. I can praise Oz without bashing JM. And that said ... way to go Oz!
