PAULIE! PAULIE! PAULIE!
Way to go, Mr. Konerko. Thanks, we needed that.

Proposed trade from the Southtown
No offense, but I can't understand why anybody would agree to a trade of Maggs. I can't believe the guy wrote this paragraph: Even without him, the Sox still have five potential 20-home run hitters. Who's to say that Carlos Lee can't put up Ordonez-like numbers in the No. 3 hole — and steal 20-plus bases to boot? Give me a break. Our lineup without Maggs is crippled!!!!!!!

D'Angelo Jimenez
D'Angelo sucks. He is on my f list with poor todd ritchie.

My 15 minutes of Fame
You need to write a letter to Reinsdork and copy it to KW and all the major newspapers. The ballpark should be a safe haven, case closed. Reinsdork will want to know this is going on.

Pena vs. Ozzie
Great responses by both of ya. I still remember my exciting match against Donkey in that trivia contest. Donkey outlasted me. He is a wealth of knowledge. Admit it Donkey ... how did you get all my questions correct???

Pena vs. Ozzie
Is anybody else worried that another ebullient, exuberant, enthusiastic manager, Tony Pena, now is being deemed sort of a clown on the KC talk shows. And that Oz appears to be the Tony realm of managers? Exciting, excitable, peppy, etc? I like Pena and love Oz, but I wonder if it still only boils down to the players. Won't modern day ballplayers pretty much loaf on any coach unless they are the rare breed (Clemenses, Ripkens, Bretts, Fisks) that love to play the game? In other words, do you think Oz is doomed or will he be MOY in the AL?

Daily Herald is saying Loaiza has lost velocity
The pen sounds good. Put him in there pronto.

Daily Herald is saying Loaiza has lost velocity
Munoz sounds intriguing. Give him a shot? Poor D. Wright. Maybe it's time we ship him to another organization. I always liked him, but he seems snakebit with our Sox.

Willie Harris
Willie has done fine, but I don't like Willie and Uribe 1-2 in the order. Do you think it's a good 1-2 punch? How bout Willie leadoff as long as he keeps doing well and Lee No. 2?

HOW IN THE HELL...........
This lineup has some problems that need to be addressed. --Is everybody in agreement we may need some lefthanded pop in there somewhere?

Proposed Changes
Rowand and Paulie are starting to make me doubt. But I still love Joe for his late-inning heroics and defense and I tip my cap to Harris thus far for his .300 average.

Hawk
What did Hawk do to Wimpy?? Just wondering. I had not heard he got him fired or anything, but I am way outta the loop.

HOW IN THE HELL...........
How do we get swept by Toronto? Easy ... we ain't THAT good and Dat's baseball, especially on the road.
-
How good does Griffey Jr. look now?
You said: "I am sure it has nothing to do with Lee's, Konerko's, Crede's and Rowand's selfishness and stupidity..." Have you ever played baseball Bran? Why are they selfish and stupid just because they currently are having problems hitting a baseball thrown at them 90 to 100 mph or bending like a boomerang? p.s. I don't want Griffey. He will get hurt again. SIGN MAGGS!!!!!

The official Manos sucks thread
Amen Yasny, Great post. People want it all and that is stupid.

Sox Drop First Two in Toronto
I may be wrong, but I hate Willie and Uribe batting 1-2 in our order. I know they didn't cost us the game, but I don't like it.

Cliff Politte Sucks!
Oops I meant to say, that line made me chuckle Ol Sox, good line.
-
Cliff Politte Sucks!
Old Sox said: I knew Flash gordon, and Cliff Politte is no Flash Gordon. I ain't giving up on Cliff, but I'd tend to agree. Our pitching coach, who I like, needs to take Cliff under his wing.

With the unbalanced schedule:
Brando, why are your expectations so high?? We are what we are, a team capable of finishing about 12 games over .500 if all goes right. A team capable of sticking close to .500 if all goes wrong. As long as we hang close to the Twinks and take care of business against them, we'll be OK. We are not gonna be a dominant team. Just the way it is. We ain't got the talent for that. We're in the Central for goshsakes.

Koch is no longer the closer...please
Did anybody else notice after he screwed up and loaded the bases he actually seemed to pitch well? I thought he had a good fastball and actually looked pretty good once he screwed up and loaded the bases. I could be wrong. Do you guys n gals agree or am I screwy in the head. I coulda swore he had some pop on his fastball and looked like a true closer once the bags were juiced.
-
Willie (Mays) Harris
Harris got two more hits tonight. Is he becoming a big league hitter? p.s. How good was Uribe's play to end the game. I didn't see the highlights. Was it a bullet to short??
-
Koch is no longer the closer...please
Thank God he didn't blow that nice win for Schonie. I agree a save is a save, I'm just glad that game wasn't on TV here or it'd have been tough to watch Koch "close" that one out.

7-5 homestand: Not too shabby
We're a large market team trying to win the Central with a small market budget. Good line Donkey. I was thinking people would rip my comment about us being a small market team. Brando you are one tough cookie. You want to win pretty? Me thinks you are nuts or like that Cleveland Indians fan in "Major League." You want it all.
-
Danny Wright optioned to AAA
0-4 was a Todd Ritchie like record. Yuk.
-
7-5 homestand: Not too shabby
7-5 is good enough this time of year. Winning 3 of 4 vs. Toronto is doing a nice job. We're not the Yankees or Boston, folks. We're a small market team trying to win the Central.
