  1. Why do you blame Ozzie? It's not his decision to use him as a starter. That's KW's and Dork's. Ozzie decides during the game whether to pull him or not. KW makes the call on if he's in the rotation. I'm sure they both will decide soon that he has to go to the pen. Whether he gets one more start or not, we'll have to see.

Poor Danny appears to be done. Hope he's a better middle reliever. Danny is finished as a starter.
  3. That's it. I will never ever doubt or complain about Joe again. Book it. The guy is a f***ing stud.
  4. It amazing how careers work. I understand your reasonings, but if you are Liefer, imagine how you are just another stiff and Sexson is Sexson. I wonder if Liefer is set for life money wise.
  5. I love Hawk. It amazes me how non-Sox fans I run into that catch a game on GN say he's pathetic and a homer. I still insist Hawk and DJ do more mild bashing of the team when the team is sucking than any crew in baseball. Like the past couple years during the stretches we sucked and were lifeless. My own opinion is if the team is going fairly well they don't obsess about s***, but Hawk I feel is a pleasure to listen to. In fact I feel he's the best.
  6. Oops sorry about the double post. I thought my first post didn't post. Mea culpa.
  7. I agree Danny should remain in the rotation for a while since he won the job in spring training. You are right. It would send a bad message to panic especially with our team off to a non-Royals like start. It's not like we're 7-15. We are doing OK. It's not all Oz's decision anyway. He's not the only guy running the show.
  8. Anybody who thinks this is Oz's decision alone is wrong. I agree that Wright won it in spring training, the team is not off to any Royals-like start, so might as well let him have 10 starts or so.
  9. How come Liefer never made it? Comments?
  10. I mean "as long as we're winning" and we are winning so far. p.s. The Royals suck.
  11. As long as we're willing I'm willing to remain neutal on him. He's actually hitting better than I thought he would. I thought he'd pull a .150 on us.
  12. Nice win. I was going to start a threat gushing about how well we're hitting the ball, but I won't jinx us that way. So far it sure looks like we have the talent to contend. If Oz can keep us playing like we care, we've got a chance.

Maybe we should treat Rowand like Crede. Give em a full year in the lineup and watch each hit .280 to .300.
  14. I agree, no reason to bash JM. He had his share of nice wins. I can praise Oz without bashing JM. And that said ... way to go Oz!

Hasn't he had two game winning sac flies? That one game he whacked it past the outfielders who were in shallow, and then he had a regular sac fly to win another game, didn't he? That in itself is nice. Him heating up is great. I guess we should just assume he's going to be good and pencil him in for the next 12 years at 3B, barring injury. Good job, Joe!

We need to keep winning series. We don't want to lose a series vs. Cleve. Our division is so weak, though, we just need to stay near .500.
  17. He's getting me to the point where I'm neutral about him and that's a major step.
  18. Pleased: Ozzie, Konerko, Maggs, Lee, Olivo, Esteban. Disappointed: Koch. Not thrilled about: Crede, Harris, Sandy.
  19. I don't know why you'd want LaRussa over Oz. LaRussa is the George Will of the dugout. Arrogant. So far I'd give Oz an A for everything, including his quotes. People have called it corpseball in the past. This is lively at least.
  20. Looks like that 3-for-4 came at the right time. Willie needs to keep that going or it sounds like he's finished.
  21. Brando, how can you not like Oz?? Stop and smell the roses. It could be 50 below wintertime in Chicago. Instead we're actually winning in come from behind fashion for the first time in 3 years. I love Oz and hopes he keeps running his mouth all season. I think his quotes are funny and he's da man.
  22. Comeback wins are a good sign. If we can keep winning most series, we'll be right there all year or might eventually pull away in our crap division, if we can handle Minn. this time around.
  23. I went to 5 p.m. Mass. As I exited the car at 4:35 my cell phone update thing had us with two runners on base and down by a run in the ninth with one out. I had a good feeling we'd win. When I returned to the car at 6:30 I saw we'd won, 6-5. It made me feel good cause it was a comeback win, which we haven't had many of the past two seasons. Nice win.

This is a tough crowd. We won the game. So what if Carlos got picked off. We win, we win. I think we'll miss his bat the day we trade Carlos.
  25. K, Thanks for explaining. Now I understand. Makes sense!
