When are we gonna blame the hitting coach? Who is the hitting coach?
  2. Great pitching. Great win. We'll take a shutout anyday. Surely Tony has seen enough of Hamilton. The guy cannot hit and that's pretty obvious by now. Glad Collins is doing OK. That HR tonight was nice. Would be great to score some runs the final two games of the series and keep KC reeling. The Royals do stink and it'd be nice to win all 3 but unacceptable to not win at least two.
  3. What a kind board. Thank u. I appreciate it.
  4. Thanks to you as well.
  5. Thanks back at you. I feel good about my body (knock on wood). So far, 29 hours since the shot and just a sore arm. Hope that continues.
  6. I'd like one more run, wrap up a 4-0 win and go ahead and try to get the offense rolling tomorrow. A 4-0 win would be dandy.
  7. I'm loving me some Bummer. Two outs.
  8. One out cause of a nice pitch there by Bummer. I'll take it. Nice.
  9. I think you could bet the under every game this series and win a lot of money in LVegas.
  10. I like patience at the plate but Collins had a bad at bat there. Take a hack. Hamilton needs to be DFA'ed. I know he can play defense but geez isn't there somebody else in the Sox system to play backup OF?
  11. I will say this, before I got my second shot yesterday I was waiting and reading the handout on the Moderna vaccine. I laughed to myself because "common sense Greg" would never have accepted the shot after reading the material. It said the vaccine is not yet approved. It said it is unknown if there will be any long term side effects. I mean, after reading the handout there is ONLY one reason for one to be vaccinated and why I was vaccinated -- because frankly common sense says at this juncture it was unwise to inject the vaccine into my body. To get the vaccine you have to buy in to the fact COVID-19 is extremely serious, a once in a lifetime (hopefully?) threat to the entire country and entire world. By accepting the fact is it extremely serious (I accept the fact if I get Covid I could die gasping for air in a hospital bed; again many do not believe this is realistic) I willingly took shot No. 2 yesterday. I'm convinced those not getting vaccinated do not think this is a serious disease, do not believe Fauci and all the politicians and are quite worried the vaccine has not yet been approved with no knowledge of long term side effects. My deduction (partly because of what's happening in India; I do believe the crisis is horrendous) is that this is a vicious serious disease, one that I do not want to get and one I do not want to inadvertently spread to others. IN CONCLUSION ... after reading the handout I can understand why peeps would be hesitant. My decision was to ward off "common sense Greg" forget for a minute my disdain for politics and politicians and go ahead and get the vaccine. (So far sore arm, nothing else yet). Peace out.
  12. Got my second Moderna shot today. If it truly is some conspiracy, the people administering shots are fooled. They are so professional and nice. So far 3.5 hours into the shot and no symptoms. I would be all for having no symptoms. I always ask people about their shots for smalltalk and I'll tell you, there's no rhyme or reason. Some young peeps no problems; some get very sick a few days; most older peeps have had no symptoms, then again a couple got hammered. And some Pfizer some Moderna. Doesn't seem to matter in terms of bad symptoms or no symptoms, Moderna vs. Pfizer. I don't want to get political, and can't get political on the board here, but I am very upset this virus happened to get unleashed on the world and am very concerned about the future of the world, considering this thing is currently crippling a few countries. You can probably imagine who I am blaming but I will not go there and get suspended. In conclusion, the peeps administering the shots in this part of the country have been very nice/professional. They even handed out a gift bag full of gifts to the fully vaccinated today at the place I went. The woman was quite reassuring, saying to get ready for flu like symptoms but to not panic if they do not go away right away.
  13. Cue greg to say virtually all multi year big money deals turn out bad for the team. Pitchers ... arms falling off the modern pitchers who usually need TommyJohn at some point. Hitters generally aren't as good as they appear when signed to the amazing deals.
  14. I was hoping the hiring of a Hall of Famer would take away the "strangeness" of the Sox. You just knew after winning 9-0, the Sox would not score today. They coulda played all day and night and were not going to score. It's insane how that happens in baseball.
  15. I got some things to do and I'm mad, so I'm out. I've seen this play out before. For the reverse jinx let me say, Sox lose in bottom of 10th. Cincy with the W over our fave team.
  16. Billy needs some extended batting practice.
  17. Good job all around on that. Ump is sad he couldn't call ball four to end that one. Umps should have all been fired then reapply for their jobs years ago. They love disrupting the game.
  18. That should have been strike three in a perfect world. Make hitters swing at a pitch that close for gosh sakes. Umps have helped ruin baseball.
  19. Either a line drive single on first pitch or a horrific walk by Liam.
  20. Tony is probably thinking 'they all want me to let Vaughn bat; see, a double play."
  21. No pinch hitter for Vaughn this time. The dreaded shift.
  22. The 2021 Hamilton needs to learn how to bunt.
  23. If the Sox are truly a juggernaut, the 3-4-5 in the ninth would explode. Moncada, Abreu, Vaughn, then Grandal. That's allegedly a pretty nice foursome.
  24. I wonder what the odds of Sox winning this game are?
  25. Does Len Kasper have a little edge to him, like Hawk? In terms of getting "testy" at times?
