How come nobody ever answers my question of "where can you buy a disposable mask???" They are NOT AVAILABLE. It is wrong to say we don't care. We don't have masks to wear! I'm not paying 90 bucks for a box of masks I saw at Walgreens. I don't' even know if they are the right fricking masks. If I see somebody I wait til they pass or walk the other way and stay socially distant. If masks are the new normal for the rest of mankind like they wear overseas, that will suck.

It's not a joke because there are about to be meat shortages, food shortages. We have to have people go to work or by Christmas we will be one of the poorest countries on earth and easy pickings for China to invade and take over as world power. Can you imagine what the Chinese will do to us if they take over here? We need somebody to start manufacturing suicide pills in case we need them. Yes the rich are getting richer no doubt. But we little guys and gals need to work or we are going to starve and die.

They aren't going to get through this. Homelessness will be calling when the credit card companies want their money. Nobody is talking about the economy just shaming about masks and staying at home. Nobody even wants to work it seems. Americans are hoarding and using their charge cards to do so. On a Monday night tonight I was absolutely shocked at the crowds at the grocery stores. All people do are sleep, get up, eat, self school their kids, take a walk, then go to the store and fill up with their credit cards. Before the pandemic all u heard about was people living paycheck to paycheck and not saving for retirement. Now they are maxing out their credit cards on food and toilet paper and cleanser and tylenon and other drugs they think they'll need. I read today there is a movement going on for a second Civil War. If the unrest hits, rioting, etc., it'll be all over. The rich better not flaunt their wealth, that is for sure, because we are going to have so many homeless with unemployment to be around 40-50 percent minimum, it'll shock you.

I have a big head and glasses and the masks suck. also they aren't for sale anywhere. Do those scarves with sports logos I see on the Internet work? are they hard to put on?

Heard the Chicago mayor went on TV and said the government is watching people on social media and will come arrest you if you are bragging about being at parties, etc. Is this true? Then she bragged about getting her hair done saying she had to, she is the voice of the city. My friend said it was on Tucker Carlson. Is she coming across as pompous or good through this?

Regular season in home parks would require travel. Just hold the games in Arizona and Vegas, especially if only a few dozen rich fans are allowed entry.

I think you guys are over-reacting. When the time comes around, the stay at home lockdown orders will continue. We are in phase one in Kansas. Guess what that means: We can get coffee and pop at Quick Trips again. We can do NOTHING ELSE that was prohibited before. No haircuts. No restaurants open. No coffee shops. NOTHING. It's the same.

If there is another Civil War, that's the end of America. China will back the side with the fewer amount of people and help wipe out that side with the most amount of people. They won't resist the temptation to destroy half the United States. And in War, all bets are off. I guess some religious people could say Trump truly was the antichrist starting armageddon (if the Civil War does take place). We need to start working together, people. Everything is a big fight. Instead of compromising and working together to open the economy (which we need) as well as do our best to fight COVID, we have to take sides. One said cusses out the other: How dare you not isolate yourself? How dare you not wear masks? And the other side: How dare you tell me to stay cooped up two months?? How dare you to tell me I can't go to church or get a haircut!! Instead of working together it's ALWAYS taking a radical position and HATING ON those who take the other position. Bye bye America if this continues.

Maybe not: It's one thing to say you are opening up it's another to do it. Kansas counties have a right to overrule the governor. Governor is being cautious to begin with and still Douglas County has said no to all her very mild suggestions. Nobody's going to open things up to where you can go to church or a game or a crowded restaurant. Things are not going to open up, folks. There will be still a few corona cases out there or a lot, whatever, and either governors or counties will say "nope." The crucial part is all these towns with colleges. If they say they are open for business, will the counties overrule the universities?

I've been thinking more about this. This season is gonna be very funky. The players already have a built in excuse if they have off years. Pitchers are probably going to be babied cause their arms aren't used to this schedule. So just have two NCAA type tournaments. All the teams best 2 of 3. Then have a best of 5 title series. Then do it all over again like we did in Little League. Have the two winners of the two tourneys meet in the World Series in Vegas. I don't want a regular season; it's too screwed up and wacky. Just showcase the talent and have low-key tournaments. Pls pass this on to the commish!

Trump should just go quietly into retirement. He's in the history books as president. He's got such a huge ego, just quit while he's still healthy and write books and hang out. Let Biden take over even though Joe is kinda old. He better pick a good Veep candidate. I have a feeling it's gonna be Warren or Michelle if she'll do it. Harris is too risky IMO.

Little surprised you are predicting Armageddon, Dick. This kind of worries me. I thought some hospitals were close to bankrupt because of LACK of business right now. Your opinion here is why we locked down in the first place, hospitals getting overrun. Are you saying we are not past that concern? Why are so many states then acting as if it's time to open up? Again ... most of these governors are very conservative re. corona and opening up very slowly. Dick ... tell me if I'm wrong. Seems to me you are in favor of lockdown for quite some time to come. Like through the winter? I think people will definitely starve in your scenario and there would be a Civil War as well. Just my take. I'm a little worried about yours since I think you are a regular guy.

Great point. One other point. Caulfield did you see Kansas announced it would have class first semester starting in August just a couple days after Missouri first announced it? Kind of sinister. You know it will not happen if COVID is still out there for reasons you suggest. But KU had to announce this to get the $$$, to get the kids signed up for first semester of the 2020-21 school year. If not ... Mizzou might get all the kids. I guarantee you no decision has been made on classes.

Points 5 and 6 ... covid by description is about the worst thing known to man. This is concerning. If China did create this disease to take over the world, it seems to me one more corona like disease created by the Chinese should about finish us off. How could this disease be THIS BAD just by coincidence? If some guy ate an infected bat ... cmon, why wouldn't this or other diseases have started up long ago? If this disease is THIS BAD (the symptoms you describe) and there's a chance 300,000 people would be hospitalized in Florida (initial projections) then why wouldn't the whole country have mandatory lockdown for at least 12 months? Again, parts of the day I read this is no big deal; my brother a nurse in Chicago tells me this is not bad; then later in the day I read your post. Every day is the same ... I read positive stuff then negagtive. Your post suggests pretty much the end of spectator sports, the end of concerts, the end of churh services, pretty much the end of the USA. It really does. On so many levels. p.s. If Texas and Florida really believed covid was this bad why would the governors want to reopen and cause a huge catastrophe?

Yeah but politicians have the right to keep the parks to gatherings of 10 people or less like they are doing restaurants, etc. These politicians are soooo cautious right now.

How long is it going to take to get the teams ready for the season? Traditionally, spring training is about six weeks. Seems to me a decision to reassemble the teams will have to be made within 14 days or so if they want to start by July 1. Will they all just train in Florida since the Florida governor has been insisting corona hasn't been a big problem there?

How come I just saw Florida governor say projections were off by 463,000 hospitalizations in Florida and Florida must open? Not flaming, just saying today's current news tends to say this is not as bad as expected. He's adamant about the projections being WAY off in Florida.
