  1. If he is a hands on owner, I hope he screams at Hahn and KW every day for acquiring guys like Alonso and Jay and all those hacks on the mound. And Wellington, etc. How could JR not rip Hahn a new one daily if indeed he calls Hahn all the time?
  2. Our minor league rosters must need bodies. Paulo Orlando makes me very mad/sad. Don't wanna see him on the big league team, nor John Jay.
  3. Pissed at the result, I just did my semi regular search of Harper, Machado and Avi. All are doing OK, nothing special. Machado has eight homers; Avi five. Avi's still better hitter than most guys on our wretched team after about 120 at bats.
  4. Love our White Sox. Many teams play to win divisions. The Sox play for one day on the calendar, draft day.
  5. Expected result. We don't win at Toronto. Not with this roster.
  6. It seemed like by the end he was enjoying it. He certainly wanted to continue on, but the team's performance dictated he was finished.
  7. That is the post of the year, maybe the decade! Very perceptive and it makes total sense to do what you say. Madrigal went to college; Robert is ready and Collins is more than ready. If they hit .040, big deal. No reason to not let them sink or swim. People scoff at baseball's unwritten rules. A front office unwritten rule is (still) to never rush a guy. I am saying players don't need all this minor league seasoning. I mean you said it all. ... Yonder LOL; Yolmer LOL and Wellington LOL. Bring up the kids. It matters not if they hit .120. (I'm not that mad but kind of upset we win the first two then only split the series). Would be nice to continue to split series on the road, though. If we do that we could sniff .480 this season.
  8. I loved Alonso the first two weeks as well. I tend to dislike players who hit into shifts and he does that a lot.
  9. I see Soria is 0-2 with no saves this season. 5.51 ERA. So his traditional stats suck.
  10. Oh well you can't be mad. There's no way in hell the Chicago White Sox of the tank era could win the first 3 of a series in Cleveland. Something wacky would have had to happen.
  11. Thanks for the high strike, ump. Oops base hit.
  12. I'm glad Fry whiffed that leadoff guy.
  13. Would be nice to extend Bummer a third inning. We all know what's about to happen. But I understand why Bummer won't be continuing. I get it.
  14. What is Yolmer's value? Next please.
  15. That first pitch is why Timmy can't walk. How do you swing at that? Cause u are guessing! When you lead off you get on base!
  16. If you purchase tickets to Tribe games do you want to hear that one fan 'wooing' in the background?? That noise is very annoying.
  17. Exactly. These players that hit into the shift deserve their horrid stats. So selfish to not go the other way and get a hit; poor Tilson gets robbed. We ain't winning tonight, folks. We don't win 3 straight in Cleveland ... not yet.

How can this guy be so good? Will he ever lose? He could be set for life.
  19. With all due respect, we love to undervalue our own on message boards. Who was the last Sox player universally beloved? Was Buehrle loved right until the end? Paulie wasn't. He had detractors. Maybe Ray Durham? He was beloved til the end wasn't he? The guy has 9 homers and 34 RBI for gosh sakes.
  20. There are so many bad hitters in that lineup. How the hell are we sniffing .500?
  21. If I owned a baseball team, I'd pass on FA pitchers for big bucks. So many need surgery.
  22. Please save that five word sentence. I want to use it every time an Abreu thread pops up. If I say what I want to, I'll get banned. I worship Abreu so to speak.
  23. Great point. Does anybody want Alonso? Trade him now and try Palka again. Although if we are possibly going to contend this year, the Sox probably feel they need the veteran leadership of Alonso. Flirting with .500 would suggest the possibility of contending although I see a lineup that's pretty week and very conducive to a long long losing streak.
  24. Glad the poll is in their favor big time. I think they are amazing. I've said this before, but try to listen to other team's crews. Like the Royals. Except for the amazing Denny Mathews and the very good Ryan Lefevre, the Royals broadcast is one big commercial for the team. At least Bennetti and Stone don't go that way. They are cheerleaders of course, but it's not sickening. And they use their real voices, don't try to talk like stereotypical announcers.
