  1. s***, I don't care about the standings. Why are they even discussing that? It's about playing good baseball. Nice fight, Sanchez. Nice stroke there. Good job.
  2. Sad we couldn't put it away in the 9th. Houston was looking like it was ready to go back to the hotel but Abreu couldn't get the hit.
  3. That ump should be disciplined.
  4. The sudden collapse of the bullpen changes the outlook of the season big time. Better hope our defense remains rock solid. AND we're gonna have to have our starters step it up and be able to go a full seven from now on.
  5. They took advantage of the non interference call. Very alarming, though, is our bullpen. Albers is throwing meat and it's only mid May. We ain't winning this one, barring an amazing comeback.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 18, 2016 -> 04:49 AM) Are you serious? He doesn't do home games. It is May, you should know that by now Greg Oops. I'm sorry. Brain cramp.
  7. He definitely interfered. I noticed that Avila made a dismal throw but it wasn't his fault!!!!
  8. Is Hawk sick? At a graduation?
  9. Cmon Albers. Our bullpen has sucked lately. Prove we're battlers.
  10. The weatherman screwed us. Eaton had a HR to win it.
  11. It shouldn't be this hard to score at home. Now I know why nobody wanted to bunt in the ninth. Let's get three outs and win this. Too much longer and Houston is gonna put up a 3-spot.
  12. Wow Robin going for it now. Robertson another inning. He wants the W in 10.
  13. We're probably lucky we tied it, thanks to that dumb play by their first baseman playing so far back. Wish we could have won it in nine. We had them there. Might be tough to pull this baby out. It's all up to our pitching/defense now as this baby may take 3-4 innings to win.
  14. Great call, Stoney ... ALMOST.
  15. OK, put these bums away. s***ty play at first base, let's win it.
  16. Well that sucked. This baby may go 14, 15 innings. Eaton did all he could there.
  17. All right, Tyler! That all worked out. Now let's win it now or later. Preferably now.
  18. That's it!!!! Beat this crappy team and nullify that awful loss at Texas!! Nice job. First and third none out.
  19. Oh boy, the bunt escapades have begun. 0-1 count.
  20. Way to go, Austin!!!! Love ya baby. Bunt him to third and don't screw it up?
  21. A walk off win over a BAD Astros team would nullify that joke of a game we gave away in Texas. I didn't think the Sox were mental midgets but they have not responded well to their first horrendous game of the year (blowing the 5 run lead).
  22. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) I really don't care if anyone doesn't like me admiring Obama or thinking he's a good president and I stopped trying to explain it, I don't owe anyone an explanation nor do I care what they think. They usually fall into one of these categories: 1. Conservatives who don't like him on principle which is fine, but there's really no reason to discuss a thing that's settled 2. People who are far to the left of him (though they tend to like him more often than not) 3. White people who are not necessarily racist but aren't comfortable with things associated with or important to black people (they usually complain when Obama says or does something "black") Meanwhile I listed a whole plethora of things that made him a lousy President.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) The nerve of them, getting uppity like that! So the solution is to scream and yell and picket and bust up library study halls (violence coming?) and not want to sit down and have a talk to find solutions? The crime as they see it: White have had privelege for 200 years. The solution: Give me that privilege and give it to me NOW. Uh ... how are we going to do that? Good luck to those kids who get arrested EVER finding a good job til it is expunged from their record at least.
  24. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) http://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/preside...yelling-n561046 I would say this is a fairly good summary on the President's position on Black Lives Matter - and a pretty solid response overall. Or would you rather the President put together a team of elite operatives to take down any person yelling about white privilege. Also of note, why is Obama's smoking habit a positive for you? That's weird. That's a start. Did his speech get lost since it was in ... London??? BTW he should have told it like it is and added that they dont' want to sit down and talk about it. That is the problem. They want to b**** and moan and be given the privilege that whites have had forever. Now they want it and they want wealth/riches without working for it. They want the privilege and won't rest til it's given to them. By smoke .. I coulda said a beer. He seems like a regular guy who wants to have a few beers or cigars or cigs after playing pick-up basketball a couple hours. He's OK by me. But a lousy D- president.
  25. QUOTE (Brian @ May 17, 2016 -> 08:56 PM) I'd be interested in how Obama has divided this country on race. By simply being black? Educate me. By showing no leadership on the Black Lives Matter issue. By very rarely going out to the sites of violence like St. Louis. Ferguson was HUGE and no leadership from the top. It was like he didn't want to get involved. This declare your white privilege thing is not going away and only going to result in violence when the wrong whites are provoked. No town hall meetings or national conferences on issues/race/economy. He was a do-nothing president, but that's fine. Many do nothing. I said I liked him personally and as a Sox fan and I stand by that. By all accounts, he likes a good smoke and a good game of basktball and seems like a GREAT dad and husband. He rocks, but as President? Big fat D-minus!
