I’m trying to quote Lip’s post but I can’t for some reason. Anyway, I did not know that. I just looked up their standings, which show no ties. So I looked at game by game from last season. Sure enough, after 12 innings it’s a tie. Apparently it doesn’t count in the standings. Appears to be a no contest. I assume the stats all count. Interesting.

I’m a dick for saying this but JR needs to sell or die soon. Then get the team sold post haste, fire everyone from Hahn to the A ball bat boy. Actually, I’d keep Grifol and the new staff just to see what they’ve got. Hire a new GM, scouts, the works. Trade everyone but Robert, Cease and Moncada. Take Cease and and Boris into a room, tell them we’ll give you 5 years here’s a blank contract…fill in the number, any number and it’s yours. I know this is a pipe dream, but it’s hard not to hate being a Sox fan with this regime in charge. Fuuuuuuuuck!

I noticed this as well. Maybe I’m projecting but this, at least to me, says something about the managerial leadership. Again, I may be seeing what I want to see. It’s still encouraging in my mind. It’s fun to actually looking forward to watching games.
