Moncada + Grandal
that he was... but lower comedic value by not having been directly quoted.

Moncada + Grandal
(update - I now realize it was Eaton who called Drake a "leader," not Sale)
-
Moncada + Grandal
No, I think Drake LaRoche's leadership has led to a growing-up of sorts for Sale.

Roster Crunch: Burger, Sheets, Mendick, Harrison, Garcia
Random thought - the next addition to the 40-man (not off of the IL) should be a 3rd catcher. If TLR keeps up this "DH Grandal and PH for McGuire late in the game" crap (which shouldn't happen to begin with since Grandal shouldn't be DHing), pretty soon we'll get ourselves into a shitty situation with a reliever hitting for himself and Leury behind the dish in the 11th inning.

To me Sheets in a no-brainer.

GT 6/3: SOX @ TB, 6:10 PM CDT, NBCSC
I’d want to break out too, if I had any place better to go.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
If it were 2 or 3 guys underperforming, that’s on the players. if it’s 2/3 (or more) of the offense underperforming, that’s on the coaches. the team is far more talented than this. Coaches are paid to extract the most out of their players. Period.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
That right there is hindsight managing. you get ready to play BEFORE the series. That way you don’t have to get mad.

You win the internet today.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Time to let Bummer finish Lopez's implosion.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
This obviously didn't age well.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Gotta rest 'em for winnable games.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
I have more faith in Lopez than most at this point maybe.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Moncada with an RBI single to get us JUST close enough to make this game more painful.
-
White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Glad I'm 100% wrong so far.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Guessing third pitch 0-2 pop-up. First pitch down the pipe with a fastball for a taken strike. Second pitch chases a breaking ball in the dirt for 0-2. Third pitch gets under a fastball elevated in the strike zone for the pop-up.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Twice! In one play!

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
Seems like moving Vaughn out of the 2-hole is paying off. Gotta cool that bat down somehow.

Montas gets Sox speculation
You act like JR would ever fire an executive.
-
White Sox @ Blue Jays 6:07 PM: Kopech (1-1 1.29 ERA) vs Ryu (2-0 5.48 ERA)
Looks like it's back based on the Gurriel strikeout pitch... 97, elevated, and good arm side run.
-
Montas gets Sox speculation
Not disagreeing with the long-term outlook on his bat, but acquiring him for Collins is a win. Minor win? Sure... but I'll take what I can get.
-
Montas gets Sox speculation
Minor, but I would count McGuire as a "win" so far, given his defense alone.

What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?
Seems like folks missed the sarcasm with the "we all wish upon a star" bit.

Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion
Fun Depressing fact: Cesar Hernandez is batting .289/.345/.383/.728 right now through 228 Plate Appearances. His OPS is currently higher than all but 4 members of the Sox with greater than 35 PA's (Abreu, TA, Robert, Vaughn). Also, his 228 plate appearances would lead the Sox by 34. The Sox's leader in plate appearances this year is Jose with 194.
