  1. Not sure how Hendriks' injury is La Russa's fault.
  2. Chicago Style Pizza = thin crust. I grew up on Rosangela's, but then discovered Vito & Nick's later in life. Rosangela's "travels" better (takeout), but V&N is hands-down the best. They'll also half-bake it for you to take home and finish in your oven. Chicago Style Deep Dish = made for tourists and high school kids who learned how to ride the L or Metra on their own for the first time to go out to eat downtown. Detroit Style = also very good. If ever in Detroit, do Buddy's for the "original" experience. If you're looking for Neapolitan pizza, go to Pizzaplex in Detroit's Mexicantown neighborhood.
  3. A mustached reliever making fielding gaffes for the Tigers? Unheard of.
  4. I'm not sure what, but I am convinced that this could be an awesome name for something like a beer, hipster band, or an NHL player if you stick an "i" or "y" sound at the end.
  5. Obviously. Should have clarified that my question was a rhetorical opportunity to use the word "nards."
  6. What happens when McGuire gets hit in the nards and has to leave the game?
  7. Why PH with Seby of all people? I'd even be OK with Harrison there. Anyone but the backup catcher.
  8. Just saw a flash of lighting by me (~10 miles due North-Northwest of Comerica)
  9. Wouldn't be surprising... "only" about $3M, or a little less than half-a-Harrison (including buyout)
  10. Did I just read that correctly that he put in Sousa in another close game?
  11. lol RE: BMI discussion. I was considered "overweight" at 5'8" and 190 as an athlete in college with 5% bodyfat. Best shape of my life, but according to BMI, I had a weight problem.
  12. Sorry - I thought this was strictly about the ability to hire / fire your employees (namely the manager). He certainly has made poor signings and payroll allocations. Not being able to hire your own leadership staff to carry out your "vision" (note the quotes) is something I would certainly categorize as having your available resources limited.
  13. Plus if you try to gut it out, you could spin it as "doing the most with the resources you've been given." If you quit, they could brand you as someone who just gives up when you don't have the support you think you need.
  14. Half wondering if TLR is sick of this shit and is trying to do everything he can to get fired. He quits, he gives up his paycheck. He gets fired, he gets paid. That's literally the only thing that the logical part of my brain can come up with that would make any sense whatsoever.
  15. No, it wasn’t a tough call. Unfortunately with the bar set so low, you turned it into a game of limbo
