Yes... depending on your definition of "walking distance." There's also free street parking available near the stadium if you don't mind a walk. There are also bars, restaurants, etc., by the old Tiger Stadium site (which is now a community ballpark) that have free shuttles to the games. Plus tickets are pretty easy to come by, so it's definitely worth a road trip.

As a Detroit area denizen, downtown is a really nice place. The stadium district and down toward the river are really f'ing cool places.

I have no concerns about the offense. Harrison > (last year's 2Bmen) Pollock > (last year's RFers) Just gotta hope it's enough to make up for the lack of starting pitching depth.

Seems like a rare win-win for two contending teams. Sox dump an extra piece and pick up a legitimate RFer for the first time in years. Dodgers trade away an expendable RFer and pick up a bona fide closer who basically didn't have a role.

Shocking that they made this move after the huge Haseley acquisition.

This move is completely independent of the RF need. ...or at least it should be.

Maybe I'm missing something, but did I miss the part of the thread where someone complains that this will take AB's away from Gavin Sheets? Low-cost move that solidifies the OF. Doesn't make us worse, but definitely doesn't change the fact that RF still a huge need.

Crick's "stuff" seems pretty good and lively. Hopefully he can get his command under control. Could be a really nice pickup in the 'pen.
