  1. Yeah, even just watching the pitches he's taking (and arguing about having taken for strikes). Maybe it's just me from the past few games I've seen, but it seems like he's just.... off.
  2. I think Grandal looks like crap with his strike zone judgment this year so far. Hopefully that's not indicative of something else going on with his eyes, because that is what makes his bat elite.
  3. ...and now here's Lopez who should have started Game 1 today....
  4. No, the last 2 innings will be pitched by either a position player or the DH call-up as a "mercy" play.
  5. This will be the game the Sox get no-hit.
  6. Someone should tell him that only works if there are gale force winds in play.
  7. I think by jettisoning his ass to the moon it would be in fact helping our depth.
  8. Leury Garcia is our #3 hitter. Let's let that sink in.
  9. Nice to see him striking out on a slider down and in. You know - change things up.
  10. It's better not to ask questions you don't want to know the answers to.
  11. Don't stop now, boys.
  12. I guess if you're going to give up 10 runs, it might as well be on a day that your offense would be hard pressed to get you 2.
  13. Again, what is it about this performance today that was unexpected out of Keuchel? Maybe others have higher standards for him. Just making a point that under his normal level of sucktitude he's still in the game, probably down 5-0 or something. Today he gets us through 1 inning out of 18 on the day.
  14. Did management talk the fielders into extra-ruining Keuchel's start to encourage him to retire? Retired players don't take up payroll.
  15. He still sucked. Still can feel bad for the guy though.
  16. ...and you think this is outside of his normal sucktitude? Point is, he has a 50/50 chance to keep us in the game if our bats are alive and if our defense doesn't shit the bed. Our defense shat the bed and went to a god damn toga party in the sheets. He sucked his normal self, but the 5 extra runs are on the defense.
  17. Yeah he was at his normal level of sucktitude. He was even inducing ground ball should-have-been outs.
  18. I've been watching. This game should call for the manager to loudly proclaim the team to be full of "lollygaggers" in the shower after the game.
  19. Sorry - when your team gives the other team more outs than it converts (4 errors vs. 3 outs converted), that's f'ed up. Not that he pitched great or shouldn't have overcome some of that, today's been ridiculous.
  20. I feel bad for Keuchel for today's result.
  21. The bobble is the obvious one. Jose could have done more, too... and didn't. Again.
  22. Again, Jose with no stretch.
  23. The only reason he was able to beat the throw is because he mistimed / overslid.
  24. Based on when he started his slide, the only way to stay safe would have been to dislocate at least one joint.
