  1. Same here, and that basically any player would prefer to play for the Yankees over the Sox.
  2. Counterpoint: Clint Frazier
  3. It took exactly 3 posts in this thread.
  4. I'd love to see an Ozzie statute of him motioning for Jenks using the "big wide guy" gesture.
  5. ...or... Sign some superstar to a mega-deal with a ton of deferred money, with half the compensation being for the 2027 season that's going to get wiped out (or at least significantly abbreviated).
  6. The Tim Elko Experience is back on tour!
  7. Except for those greedy hedge fund types, obviously.
  8. Likely Brooks Baldwin.
  9. Given the uphill battle we’re facing, this thread sounds more fun when reading the thread title to the tune of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”
  10. Ozzie’s teams just had a way of beating projections and Pythagorean projections during the late 2000’s, from what I remember.
  11. Don’t think there’s such a thing as the right thread here, to be fair.
  12. And it’s all anyone can talk about for the next 3 months.
  13. The Tim Elko Experience sounds like quite a tribute band.
  14. I actually laughed audibly at this, and I don’t really know why.
  15. I feel like the same exemption should be made for the Rockies and Sox.
  16. I'd be mad if I saw Colson instead of Capra if I were watching the dugout.
  17. The headline suggests he’s giving up switch hitting, in a Buster Bluth sort of way.
  18. Yeah it’s not like we’re proposing anything outlandish like reversing the flow of a river.
  19. Someone should make sure Mansueto reads this thread before moving forward.
  20. Yes. I think the team played sub-.500 ball, actually.
  21. I agree about the game, but one thing to keep in mind is that the Sox had a .586 record in September (17-12). Cleveland was just obliterating everyone with a .704 record (19-8) in both August and September.
