I don't think people have a problem giving him a chance at all...My problem with him has always been the walks. If he throws strikes (not BP fastballs) I think he can be successful for the most part.
  2. He is 25, will be 26 in November.
  3. Who is "we"? People around here or the White Sox?
  4. Notice the key word, MIGHT...If he is sharp, I say let him go 4 or 5. Enough with experimenting, if Cotts can start, then let him start.
  5. He doesn't do much for me, if he was that great, he would have started elsewhere and he hasn't...If we need to make a change besides Willie in CF, bring up Reed...He is our future, not Timo "Dorn Jr" Perez.
  6. Right on 2K4, after all, I learned from you...
  7. Now if he can just pitch decent the rest of the way, I'll be happy with him...
  8. After a 15 minute face to face conversation with Borchard's current hitting coach Gregg Ritchie, I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with his hand-eye coordination or bat speed. I am not at liberty to say exactly what he said due to the fact that it was off the record, but those are not issues with Borchard. Once Borchard gets the mental approach, which believe or not is much of what separates many of the AAA guys from the guys who actually make it to the big leagues, he should be fine.
  9. I am just trying to help a kid out here, don't want anyone to become the next Beastly... Just kidding there Beast...
  10. Now tailgating with Steff will be even more fun, especially if "Hott Cotts" is starting...

And 2K, this hasn't been added either...Keith Foulke could implode at anytime (See various times in the past with the White Sox.) He is far from a sure thing. Right now the only sure thing closers I see are Gagne and Rivera.
  12. Is there anyway you could type in complete sentences of spell out you instead of saying "u"...this isn't AIM my friend. Just a thought if you want some props around here. Now, as you were.
  13. Kelly deserves to be here, it'll be great having him in the 6th/7th when we need to get out a lefty and as everyone knows, he is a fan favorite and well loved by all Sox fans...
  14. Even if he hits .250ish, he's still going to hit 25 HR and drive in about 80...He's solid in the field, you can't have a damn stud at every position. The guy is young, get off of his jock, his clutch hitting has won a few games for us this season.
  15. Schmidt has 13K's through 8, but I doubt he comes back out with 128 pitches thrown...What a night for my fantasy team...Johnson....Schmidt....Koch

He only went to 3 balls with one batter, his velocity looked pretty solid and his command was excellent, although a few pitches when he was ahead in the count were way out of the strike zone. A step in the right direction... Coop joked on the Sox post that it was Billy's first 1-2-3 inning of his career.
  17. I think I will take my chances of Crede working his way out of his funk, the guy has a history of being a second half hitter (last year and in the minors as well)...I think he's tied for the team lead in HR, he's just not hitting for AVG...Days off could benefit him, but I am not for taking him out of the everyday lineup so that Timo Perez can play.
  18. His ERA is in the mid 3's after a pretty good portion of the season...Maybe Hawk was right at Soxfest and this is the breakout year for Garland.
  19. Harris is getting on base, don't put Timo Perez anywhere near the lineup...In fact, option him to Charlotte and hope a team claims him off waivers when we call up Reed.

He's been a pleasant surprise so far, I'd like to see that ERA under 4.00 and some more easy saves...Nice work Billy.
  21. Guys, I have bigger versions of the pictures that would fit your wallpaper better, PM me if you want them emailed.
  22. Cleveland got bent over tonight by Garland and then Koch...
