  1. Make your plans to join us in the chat for the game... Game Chat @ WhiteSoxCentral or MIRC users join us at: /server irc.centralchat.net /join #soxnetchat Look forward to seeing many of you today for the game chat
  2. I agree this was Ozzie's AND Coop's fault. If they wanted Cotts to start, start letting him throw on the side or even send him to AAA for a few weeks and let him get stretched out. Don't give us this B.S. of how he's going to start but only pitch 3 or 4 innings. Why are you even starting him then? A starter can go more than 3 or 4 innings. This performance was not representative of the kind of pitcher that Neal Cotts will be in the future. In fact, all it does is hurt his confidence and that pisses me off.
  3. I think if Buehrle keeps pitching this way, you can call him a legitimate 1. You then look at Garland/Loaiza in the 2/3 slot and Show at the 4. While I don't think this would be a competitive enough rotation to win everything, I think it's good enough to win the division and compete in the first round of the playoffs...A true legitimate sure fire ACE would sure be nice, but for now, I'd rather get a guy who can pitch decent out of the 5th spot so it stops becoming an automatic L.
  4. That's bad ass playa errr goldmember....I think I liked ya better as a playa but hey, whatever works for you...
  5. So Rex, that means during the Atlanta series (June 11, 12, 13) I won't have to see a 5th starter. Just curious because I'm going to those games. Thanks.
  6. That's too bad. I wish him and his family the best.
  7. A rule 5 guy that has emerged as a solid player. I like Gibbons, but with his relatively cheap price tag, I don't see the O's wanting to part with him.
  8. The bad part is that when it happened the other night Farmer said it was a new glove he was using...
  9. Never said they shouldn't be able to read, but why are they afraid to show their face after they vowed to never come back? Something to hide, indeed there must be.
  10. Just wanted to get views from some of you on how you feel about old posters lurking around the boards as anonymous users...These are the same user or users who vowed to never come back to Soxtalk, yet it's funny to me that they are around looking at what people have to say but nobody really knows about it. Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone that I am posting this (since I am not naming names), but after thinking about this, it really disturbs me that people who nearly threatened the posting tenures of some of the Soxtalk greats and caused loads of controversy are still able to freely roam the boards and don't have the guts to post anything. Just my two cents, but I am not happy about who I've seen roaming in anonymous mode as of late if you catch my drift. Sorry if I've offended any mods or admins, I am just getting this off my chest and since I didn't name any names or such, I don't feel its out of line.
  11. I agree, Cotts will be lucky to go four innings tonight. I think he will be limited to around 50/60 pitches.
  12. Someone posting drunk, what a surprise... Maybe we should have a login pass at certain hours that you can only pass if sober...
  13. I am really tired of all of this talk about how great Ozzie is (especially from Hawk "my head is up Ozzie's ass" Harrelson). Not to take away anything from him, I like the guy, I like him as our manager, but the players play the game, not the manager. As long as he keeps a positive attitude and doesn't do anything stupid, we have a shot to win the division. To me, a great manager is someone who doesn't overexert himself...When a guy overexerts himself, that is when you run into problems (AKA Manuel giving Garland the hook all the damn time). And if we don't win the division this year, KW should be fired.
  14. Nice, but the presence of J.J. Reddick is enough to make one puke... :puke BTW, did Duke win it all this year, oh yea, they lost, silly me....
  15. Aaron Rowand, number 33, is now on the bench...
  16. They didn't call up Morneau to sit on the pine. He'll DH I'd say. Look at the way he was pounding the ball at AAA, you just don't call a guy up who is hitting like that if you don't plan to use him everyday.
  17. And also that Doug has a GLOVE at first base. He's one of, if not the best, defensive first basemen in the league.
