They will be affording someone after the season and it won't be Magglio Ordonez... 25 million is coming off the books next year with Maggs, Jose and Koch... Let the speculation begin as to who lands here next year.

Griffey looks great and I hope he can stay healthy...If we are unable to retain Magglio after the season (which is what I see happening), I would really like to see Griffey here and put into right field with Jeremy Reed taking over in centerfield. By the way, I think the Griffey deal was mostly an April Fool's joke, but I do remember the year before the Reds did offer us Griffey straight up for Magglio, which KW apparently laughed at.

Felix is scheduled to start tomorrow, my guess is that he just got in some work today because the Charlotte bullpen was decimated yesterday when Pacheco left the game early in the first inning....I'd say you're going to see Diaz start Saturday at USCF, barring a bad performance in tomorrow's game...Most likely you'll see Burke head back to Charlotte to make room for Felix.

I got a chance to talk to Kelly yesterday and he likes what he's seen out of Felix and thinks he can get the job done from what I took from our conversation...I think Diaz has earned his shot, I just hope it's not too tough of a spot for him to step into.

I talked to him again today and he hopes to play in the next few days, just precautionary as he's battling a sore back and has been getting treatment lately...Past two days he's been coaching first base...

It's tomorrow...and the Sox need a 5th starter on Saturday...looks like he's going up if you ask me.

Grilli was fortunate not to get bombed today, as he looked bad today all day...Not much more to say about the game, I left about half way throught because I wasn't feeling well.
