  1. I have to say I was at all 3 games and we owned the place all weekend. I even brought my broom to the park yesterday.
  2. I cleaned something up and will have to do a 2nd upgrade of the site (I think they released a new security patch a few days ago) but since I'm out of town I haven't been able to get this latest thing done.
  3. Don't know why it was done (This is Jason by the way), but the site is back up. A lot of us aren't around this weekend so if it does go down it could be down for a while (I won't be home till tomorrow). Just wanted to give an FYI.
  4. Time to continue the domination.
  5. QUOTE(Heath @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 11:04 PM) I'd probably agree with most of the assessment you have. Aboz - your starting line-up will probably see Rich Aurilia at 3rd (he rakes at home, plus he has pictures of Jerry Narron) and Scott Hatteburg at 1b. You will see Freel in the game as an occasional pinch runner/defensive substitution. If the Reds have good starting pitching and can get to Garland & Garcia and feed of their 5-6+ ERA, and our bullpen shows up, the Reds can take 2 of 3 as well. Should be a good series. I wasn't sure on the lineups. Cincy has a different one every game it seems. Changed it in my preview though to reflect the starters and not the lineups.
  6. By Alex Bozich [email protected] After taking 3 of 4 from the Texas Rangers, the White Sox will conclude a seven game road trip with three interleague games in Cincinnati. The Reds have been the surprise team in the National League thus far in 2006 as they sit just 2.5 games out of first in the NL Central and currently lead the Wildcard race. Read More...
  7. Now that Tracey has been demoted to AAA and is probably on the fast track to never appearing with the Sox again, I find its time to poll Soxtalkers on what transpired last night. I for one am very disappointed as to how Sean Tracey was dealt with last night. I felt Ozzie went out of his way to show him up and it was totally uncalled for. He should have dealt with things behind close doors like a professional. So my question is posed to you to vote on and discuss the topic here. Interested to hear what everyone has to say.
  8. 134 on Friday. 415 on Saturday. 111 on Sunday. We'll be at all 3.
  9. QUOTE(needauribe @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) I read here a hell of alot more than I post but I'll be there. If you see a Sox fan and a Mariners fan out there I'm the Sox fan. We will probably be wasted but I'll make sure to buy you a drink if you metion Soxtalk. So back to one of the original questions.....what bars?! EDIT: Going to the Saturday game, hoping to scalp tix for Sunday. I've got 4 for Sunday if you are interested, just looking to get face for them.

    Invisible Dog Fence

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) Thanks Boz. In reading the site, the ongoing expense sucks. The batteries need to be replaced every three months at $30 a pop. That's another $240 a year after the $1K+ investment. I'm not sure I want to do that considering we have it made right now with them being box trained. I'm thinking of just waiting it out for another year since we're likely building another house with a bigger back yard that we can have a fenced area for them. I have correction collars for them - never shocked them though as they respond to the "beep". I don't know if I could handle seeing them yelping. One trick to the batteries is that we've gone long periods of time without replacing them because he really has no interest in leaving the boundary. In fact sometimes if he doesn't have a collar on he still thinks he does and doesn't try anything. Now for dogs who want to test their limits so to speak this wouldn't work. As far as them getting shocked, he maybe yelped the first time but the second time he went through he just kept running. Now that he's older he rarely tries anything.

    Invisible Dog Fence

Dad has one for Rajah (our yellow lab), I think we got it when he was around a year old. Its real nice for a dog that needs to be outside and able to roam a lot. Early on he ran through it a few times and got shocked but now he doesnt even really go near the line. It doesn't take them long to learn, you just need a good choke collar, then walk the dog near the flags and when they are about to cross, jerk them back and run away from the flags. They show you how to do all of this when they set it up. Then gradually you work the collar into the equation where they hear the high pitch noise when they go near the flags. The flags gradually come down and then they can just sense they are getting near the area by the sound they hear from the collar. Main problem is you have to let them get shocked a few times, which is kinda hard to watch since they yelp quite a bit but after that its well worth it IMO.
  12. So I guess its better to wait and see than overpay now?
  13. Anyone know if its common practice for most clubs to release addtional tickets the day of a game? (I know the Sox have from time to time.) The Reds don't have anything left at all for Sunday except UD according to their website. Might have to go the scalper route at the park that day. On Friday, we're in 134 and on Saturday we're going to be in 415.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:56 AM) I can't find anything on their site, but I put a question up on the Reds section of the ESPN boards.. I will let you know what they say. I did the same thing on the Reds MLB site as well as RedsZone.com. Hopefully we get a legit response.
  15. Does anyone know where I could find information on whether the Reds even allow tailgating?
  16. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) with more interesting storylines Storylines? What is this, wrestling or something?
  17. Quotes from Whitesox.com Personally I think he should shut his mouth and throw the ball better. You aren't throwing the ball well, so man up and do better. Quit being a crybaby.

  19. Nice pitch sequence to get back in the count there by Garland.
  20. Another s***ty performance by AJP with a chance to score.
  21. Does Hawk call for any ball hit within 30 feet of the fence to GET ON BACK THERE? He's really starting to irk me with that.
  22. How about scoring some runs off of this guy. Let's go.
  23. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) Garland is best early in games. As we've seen in recent starts, several times through the lineup players eventually catch onto him. By catching onto him, he means they kick the living crap out of him.
