  1. Posturing by KW to finally get Ozzie to back down a bit and keep his mouth shut for a while. That's ALL this is.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 10:54 AM) I don't have it, but is there a way you can have multiple people watching on the same account at the same time? Unless they changed it, yes there is a way. Did it a lot last year with some Soxtalkers.

If anyone could hook me up with MLB.tv for the day so I can watch the game, I'd greatly appreciate it. PM me if you can. Sucks being out of town and having to see the Reds and Indians on Fox.
  4. If Hermanson can tolerate the pain and pitch, I'd take him over Cliff Politte. Both will be gone after the year anyhow.
  5. By Alex Bozich [email protected] Sometimes I wonder whether I’m watching the Ozzie Guillen Show or Chicago White Sox baseball. By simply coming to work everyday and fulfilling his obligation to speak with the media, our manager almost always finds his way into the news with whatever is on his mind that particular day. 6. Soxtalk.com's latest poll asks whether or not Ozzie Guillen actually needs the sensitivity training class ordered by Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig. Click Here To Vote in Soxtalk.com's Poll
  7. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) I am really curious now, they usually have the line-up up by now on mlb.com - anyone have something concrete to tell us? Edit just checked back to mlb.com Edmonds will not be playing and Pujols will be playing first base Usual suspects for the Sox - jimedmonds15 had it right Is that Theo Epstein in your avatar? You should have the best GM in baseball in there, not some punk from New England.
  8. As long as he gets sweaty enough before the game, he is fine.
  9. How many wins they have in the contest.
  10. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) Fine, I'll retract Major League Baseball and replace it with The Chicago White Sox organization. For his own good. Because he's putting himself on a track to let his mouth show his manager's ass the door. If it was anyone else, maybe. But since Mariotti had it coming, they shouldn't do anything to him. Let it blow over.
  11. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) You're telling me that Major League Baseball doesn't discipline players and/or managers for bad behavior during press conferences when they are acting as representatives of the team they belong to and Major League Baseball as a whole? He might be fined, he won't be suspended. If he is, complete and utter bulls***.
  12. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Jay Mariotti - Attention Whore. Ozzie Guillen - out of line. Should be fined by the team, and suspended by Major League Baseball. I don't think he meant to offend gay people in any way. But at the same time, if he isn't taught a lesson - he will John Rocker himself. Why punish the team for something he said about Mariotti? This has nothing to do with baseball. Teams or leagues don't even suspend players for getting a DUI. So how can you suspend Ozzie for a comment, regardless of how insensitive and ignorant it is? If he is suspended, that will be one of the absolute worst decisions MLB has ever handed down.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) Plaschke ripped Mariotti but said Ozzie needs to be suspended. I didnt hear what the Smith guy said. Smith said in no way should Ozzie be suspended and that really ticked off Jay. Classic.
  14. If Guillen got fired I can guarantee that Mariotti would probably have to go into seclusion.
  15. LOL, fired? Are you kidding me? No way in hell the Sox are going to do much if anything except maybe tell Ozzie to keep his mouth shut for a few weeks.
  16. This is what Jay gets for starting s*** all of the time. What is funny is all of these lame organizations, mainly ESPN, defending this douchebag. No way Ozzie will be suspended.
  17. What are the chances we can get Rooney back for the 3-game set?
  18. QUOTE(heirdog @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) We traded away a guy that could have brought back a lot more in return in Carlos "El Caballo" Lee in order to get Pods (along with Viz) so I think there was at least some point in time when the organization was high on him. How soon we forget the 2005 post-season with his clutch hits...now Pods is supposedly waiver fodder for the organization. So that they can bring up someone else from Triple A and let them "learn" how to field a new position and battle through a sub-.200 BA while getting used to the majors. Not going to happen. No one is forgetting anything from 2005. But this is a new year and the slate is wiped clean. Bottom line is that if he continues to play like one of the 3 worst leftfielders in baseball defensively and continues to be this streaky at the plate, he's not going to be around for next season. I don't see anything wrong with it either. Of course he could always pick up his D and his consistency at the plate and this won't be an issue.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) It was just a fantastic weekend. Sox fans were loud as hell and that park was a lot of fun to be at. Cinci fans were very bitter most of the weekend as they kept trying to call us bandwagon fans on the way out of the park. Awesome series. One of them told me, THE BEARS SUCK. Funny to hear that from a Bengals fan. What, they make the playoffs one year and suddenly they're on top of the world?
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) Yep, good times were had and that sweep was awesome Good to see you are back safely. What a great weekend to see some baseball.

    Happy B-day SnB!!

    Have a good one!
  22. The more I see of Podsednik in left field, the more I think he won't be back next year. Especially if he continues to be this inconsistent at the plate.
  23. I'd say for parts of every game, LETS GO WHITE SOX was heard throughout the park. After a while the Reds fans just started to Boo when they realized what was happening. Garland left to a standing O from Sox fans yesterday, it was almost like a home game.
