QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) Ozzie....this would be the perfect time to get ejected. He might...just so he doesn't have to watch the rest of this.

7/25 Game Thread
QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) i wouldn't exactly call his 115 at bats all season... So on a full season, he'd be on pace for what, 5? Still not acceptable. Stop with the excuses and just admit these guys need to quit tightening up and play better.

7/25 Game Thread
QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) it'd be like me looking at anderson's barelly .200 and call him a crappy hitter... You wouldn't be far off in saying that.

7/25 Game Thread
QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) he pitched a good game still, had the one bad pitch that turned into a popup caught in the wind, leave him alone. Giving up a home run to a guy who hasn't hit one all season. Not acceptable. Sorry.

Long relievers
Any good long man would be a starter. Duh.

White Sox close to acquiring Soriano
KW was just on XM Radio with Kevin Kennedy and Rob Dibble. Said he got to the park early tonight to talk with a few players in the clubhouse. One of those guys was Brandon McCarthy who KW personally told he wasn't going anywhere. He also said that he doesn't plan on trading any pitchers currently on the MLB roster. But he did go out of his way to say that he got to the park early today to let certain guys know that they weren't going anywhere.

White Sox close to acquiring Soriano
Trading B-Mac in a deal for Soriano would be horrible. Please don't do it Kenny.

What Time is it....SKIN TIME WOOT
Hopefully you meant Ebert, not Egbert. By the way, for those of you who don't know what he is talking about (which is probably most of you), you can view the new skin by adjusting your settings in the bottom left part of the page (drop down box) to Soxtalk Elite.

Starting a New Mojo--Sox @ Tigers
Right now I feel like I am watching Jon Garland from game 3 of the ALCS in Anaheim.

Starting a New Mojo--Sox @ Tigers
I love you Crede

Starting a New Mojo--Sox @ Tigers
Thome has no chance against a solid lefty it seems. At least lately.

Starting a New Mojo--Sox @ Tigers
Garland looks great so far. He's got his command and all of his pitches working. I hope he can keep it up.

Starting a New Mojo--Sox @ Tigers
Believe in the power of the Rally Crede.

The Sh*t Pitching Stops Here: Sox @ Yanks
Would I be asking too much if I asked for Thome to deliver here?

The Sh*t Pitching Stops Here: Sox @ Yanks
I'd say one or two more games like this and Soxtalk as a collective nation may become on the edge of a breakdown. Jason, you may need to invent a new 'hero' for us for 2006. The Rally Crede hasn't come through this series.

The Sh*t Pitching Stops Here: Sox @ Yanks
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) It would be just our luck that we trade McCarthy for Gordon. If that happened, I'd serious have to question KW's mental well-being.

The Sh*t Pitching Stops Here: Sox @ Yanks
We don't deserve to win this game with this embarassing showing.

The Sh*t Pitching Stops Here: Sox @ Yanks
We may need the Rally Crede today if we're going to have a fighting chance.

<Soxtalk.com>Politte Designated for Assignment; Tracey Recalled
Good move IMO. Politte is obviously either A) hurt or B) out of gas and washed up. Let's see what Tracey can do before getting out there and looking for a bullpen arm.

Buehrle
I didn't see the game today, but one thing I noticed in Buehrle's previous two starts (Cubs, Boston) is that both teams were hacking away first pitch because they knew he was coming right in there with a strike. I'm not sure what the deal is with Buehrle, but I'm really starting to get concerned that the word is out on how to get to him and do it quickly. He definitely needs to look at making a few adjustments and maybe not be so predictable on the first pitch. Has anyone else noticed anything in his past few starts besides the fact that he's just gotten totally owned as of late. This is the toughest stretch I can ever remember for him.
