Another week, another opportunity for the White Sox to try and make a last ditch effort to make the playoffs. If there isn't any ground made up on Cleveland this week gotta finally throw in the towel on this nightmarish season.

Lol, I didn't say anything about them magically putting it together, please reread my post. I was replying to the question what good can come from them winning now. Nowhere in my post did I say they would put it together. You replied this team isn't winning anything and I said that remains to be seen because as you know the baseball season isn't over yet. I certainly don't think they make the playoffs but it is still possible. I realize you are extremely disappointed and frustrated with this team just like I am but things hopefully get better sooner then later.

The simple and obvious reason that winning would be good is that it gives this team a shot at the playoffs. And yes, I certainly agree that it's "a complete organizational failure that needs massive changes". Whether those changes get made or not is the million dollar question.

No way will I root for this team to totally tank, lol, I will let others do that. We all realize that major changes need to to happen but If the owner doesn't think any changes need to be made so be it.

And yet everyone who says they are out of here or done with this team show up again and again. We all are apparently gluttons for punishment.

Looks like hope is fading fast for this White Sox team to make the playoffs. The homestand has gotten off to a very bad start and going 2-8 in the last 10 games has seemingly ended their chances. With that said, and with 35 games remaining, it would probably take a 25-10 record the rest of the way to have a decent shot. It's not been an enjoyable season at all for the White Sox or their fans, gotta hope some big changes are in store for 2023 for this team.

Chances to make the playoffs are quickly fading, gotta hope the White Sox somehow get on a nice winning streak starting tonight.

I would venture to say that the overwheleming majority of posters and fans on this site care, including yourself. That's why we all show up in these game threads, if a poster didn't care why waste the time to voice the same old b.s. There is certainly no doubt that a huge number of us are completely disgusted and fed up with the sorry play of the White Sox and the antics of TLR but we all have our different ways of expressing that displeasure. As for me, I'm not throwing in the towel on the season just yet but I also realize the odds of making the playoffs are quickly decreasing with each and every miserable loss. Still I hope for the best. Call me a glutton for punishment I guess, lol.

That would be fantastic if they went 9-1 or 8-2 over the next 10 games though a more likely record will be 4-6 or 5-5.

I am still quite hopeful but with every loss the optimism fades even more. You are right though, there is certainly still a path to the playoffs.

That would be a nice surprise indeed going 23-16 the rest of the way but like you said, it would still probably be a few games short. This team has had numerous opportunities to make a move but have failed in almost all instances.

Dang, getting harder and harder to believe this team can somehow get things going in the right direction for more than a game or two. Still holding out hope they can get hot and put together a nice winning streak but the odds certainly are against it.

I won't be a bit surprised to see the Royals take the lead right here. Seems like when the White Sox score any runs, the opposing team comes IMMEDIATELY right back with a few runs of their own.
