  1. Surprised it hasnt been mentioned at all, but I'm sure everyone's heard about Joran van der Sloot or whatever. Anyways, apparently he confessed to the latest murder he's been accused of this morning.
  2. What the hell is going on with injuries to big name players this tournament? Now Nani is hurt and declared out for Portugal
  3. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) I thought that was Gargamel's cat. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) Oh, the memories... Check out who's playing Gargamel
  4. I pay $57 a month for Geico and its by far the cheapest ive been quoted. Even my friend who works at Liberty mutual couldnt even come close even with cutting corners and giving me deals.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 09:03 AM) Sale, like Sail. Or, there's a sale at Penneys! Thanks.
  6. QUOTE (heirdog @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:59 PM) The Sox paid too much money for Viciedo to sit in the minors for 4 years and then eventually leave. If he can't field, he will come up and DH by next year. If you get two decent offensive years out of his current contract or 1 (and then trade him for some other prospects), then at least you recouped your investment a bit. Plus we get him for his arb years remember
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 4, 2010 -> 11:16 PM) I'm on Facebook the most out of any other site, followed by Soxtalk. Really? I havent noticed...
  8. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 4, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) Sadly Howard and Utley are killin my fantasy teams.. and they got swept and shut out in each game by the Mets like last week.. plus a 1-0 Perfect Game and then losing 1-0 the next game.. that's 5 games right there with 1 run scored Wow that is just incredibly pathetic. Especially when considering some of the weapons they have.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 4, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) Yet another piece of evidence that this kid is going to have problems. I realize the talent level is ridiculous, but everything I've read about his head and his makeup is that he's going to hit some serious walls. He's still young enough to adjust and improve from there, but when I think of high talent draft picks and failure risk, this guy seems to have a high level of it. Just curious, but did you (or anyone else using this incident as evidence) actually see what he did? Because it was hardly cause for ejection in that situation. It was dumb and juvenile and something that you'd expect out of a high schooler (shocking!) but in the grand scheme of things that incident would mean absolutely nothing to me when judging him.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 4, 2010 -> 10:49 AM) Drogba out for the World Cup. Broke his right arm vs. Japan. Another huge blow to an African side. That really sucks. I had high hopes for CIV and I like watching them play. Obviously Drogba can't be replaced but the Elephants do actually have quite a bit of depth in the goal scoring department. Also, Rio Ferdinand might have a significant knee injury. You don't like seeing guys get hurt but that would obviously be helpful to the US cause next Saturday if he could not play.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:18 PM) A Giant Solar Power Plant on the Moon That sounds very cool, and frankly, doesn't really seem as currently unfeasable (word?) as they make it sound.
  12. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) Jozy sprains his ankle today. X-rays came back negative but he is listed day to day. Not good. Listed as mild. Just sit him all game Saturday I'd say. He should be fine in nine days.
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 12:31 PM) NASA faking the moon landing is another consipiracy that should be added to the list. Agreed.
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 08:48 AM) I wont get into this whole discussion other than to say I will always 100% respect accomplishments of opposing teams and rivals. If Carlos Zambrano goes out and throws a perfect game against the White Sox at the Cell and I was there, I would applaud. Not a doubt in my mind. I agree, but that's completely different than saying this. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 08:36 AM) Deeply hating specific teams is kind of pointless. Very 'look at me look what i'm doing'
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:02 PM) I'd be curious to hear from the 9-11 group on here. What and why do you believe? That is one I can't get behind at all. They probably believe it was a missile that hit the Pentagon.
  16. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 08:36 AM) Deeply hating specific teams is kind of pointless. Very 'look at me look what i'm doing' Ever heard of rivalries?
  17. Growing up my favorite player was Frank Thomas. My brother's was Griffey. We'd debate over and over about who was better. Definitely a sad day. He was a class act and along with Thomas was one of the first players in the game to make an impression on me growing up. Shame injuries derailed him a bit, I'd much rather he have the HR record than Bonds or soon to be A-Roid
  18. QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 02:55 PM) ALSO ... I was thinking about this and it's not unlikely that they would send Gonzalez to Bristol for more work if they feel he needs it. I mean, he is one of their top prospects and he wouldn't be there for long ..it would save the organization money if they did send him to Bristol instead of way out to Montana ..it just seems to me that GF wouldn't be the better option out of the two if they are going to demote him. ...BUT you never know. It actually would though. The Pioneer league is more likely to get some more advanced college pitchers than the Appy League would and thus it would provide better competition and more of a challenge to hitters. No way he gets demoted to Bristol, nor should he.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 10:26 AM) Latest Tweet about the Gulf Oil Spill from Scary Sarah: W. T. F. Even if you believe that drilling for more oil is a good idea - which an argument can be made for - how can you possibly take this idiot and her views seriously? I mean, this is the kind of thing a 12 year old says. What possible twisted logic is she using to say that somehow this spill is justification for more drilling? My God, I don't know if there is a scarier thing in politics right now than the fact that some people actually support this woman. I think it's about the 'where' element. She's advocating relaxing regulation on where drilling should be allowed, ANWR for example. I actually can somewhat see her point, but for the record I don't agree with it.
  20. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 01:28 AM) Marquez is still a part of this organization? Can we please just get rid of all players that involved Swisher so I don't have to think about either of those trades anymore? Yeah thats a good reason. Ignore the fact that he's actually pitched semi-well recently.
