  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 07:54 PM) Need to fill RB Flex With Moreno, Bush (Monday), and White. PPR. Have J. Bell as well to backup Bush. But with Monday being questionable for Bush, and the fact that they may split more than normal, I'm thinking Moreno and White at this point. He's had I think 24 targets past 2 weeks. Seems like the safer play for now. FWIW it appears White was limited in practice yesterday with a new kneee injury. Don't think it's severe, but the guy has been hurt all year and any new ailment would alarm me if I was thinking of starting him
  2. QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:03 AM) they showed a stat during the game comparing Manziel's numbers to Winston's. ESPN was showing 47 total TD's and 5100 yards so after you posted this I went to look at the stats and it looks like ESPN was comparing Winston 2013 vs Manziel 2012. I dont know why ESPN would bother comparing a candidate from this year to a previous year. With that said, just by looking at the stats then Winston shouldnt be the lock everyone is claiming him to be. Yeah, that is weird. Just ESPN trying to create something out of nothing. As for the stats, obviously you can't just use them. Manziel played tougher competition but Winston only attempted 25 4th quarter passes all year because he was usually out of the game. He shouldn't be a lock but his numbers are very worthy.
  3. QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 07:44 PM) Sad thing is Manziel's numbers blow Winston's out of the water and he has 0% chance at repeating. They do? 3,820 yards passing / 4,013 total yards / 67.9 comp. % / 38 TD pass / 10 INT / 190.1 QB rating / 42 Total TD 3,732 yards passing / 4,418 total yards / 69.1 comp. % / 33 TD pass / 13 INT / 170.4 QB rating / 41 Total TD I don't know how you can make that claim with a straight face
  4. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 12:36 AM) Oh cry me a f***ing river. I just lost by 0.32 points and have been eliminated from the playoffs because Kyle Orton (WHOM MY f***ING TEAM IS NAMED AFTER) led an inexplicable drive down the field and scored a TD with 5 seconds left in the game, allowing Dan Bailey to get the XP and me to be eliminated from the playoffs. I was 0.33 points away from going to the Championship game.... That sucks. I've had real s***ty luck in 2 of my 3 leagues this year so I get it. But your real problem appears to be that you decided to play the St Louis defense on the road...
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) Setting up for a good finale next week. I agree. I was thinking he was going to but I really wasn't sure. I could have seen it going the other way as well. I really hope in the finale. I feel it would set up next season better.
  6. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 07:19 AM) Excellent episode. When I think he did it because he realized he had to do something right now or he was about to be toast
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 04:40 PM) Total collapse by the Browns They got screwed by a pretty bulls*** PI call at the end there. Refs really bailed them out
  8. I won one league and am up by 12.1 points in my other going into tonight but my opponent has Jeffery (PPR) so I'm not too enthusiastic. My score this week is the 5th highest in the entire league all year but I'm probably gonna lose because he played McCoy and Vereen. Vereen wasn't doing anything until Gronk got hurt and then got 6 or 7 additional points because the Pats recovered an onsides kick. Oh well, I'll take advancing in 1 out of 2
  9. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 6, 2013 -> 01:24 PM) HBO announced last week that FFC/DWD will be represented by 3 seasons of television. However, episodes will be reduced to 30 minutes in length and be followed by a new 30-minute companion series "Dreaming of Daario" starring Emilia Clark. "We felt this was the best way to stay true to the books," stated showrunner D. B. Weiss. Ugh, don't remind me.
  10. Almost about as bad of a group as possible. We have to get over our Ghana curse and then not let Ronaldo beat us. Portugal is not very strong in the back or the midfield but as others have said, almost no margin of error in this group. Really would have loved group C, E or H. Not USMNT related, but I'm happy to see Ivory Coast not get boned for once in the WC draw. They could conceivably be the favorite in that group.
  11. This season wraps up Storm of Swords and apparently is going to pull a couple story lines from FFC/DWD. They'll need at least 2 seasons for FFC/DWD but could easily draw it out over three, especially if WoW comes out in the next 18 months and gives them a little more source info. It's going to be tough for GRRM to beat the tv series but it's still possible. It's really going to depend on how quickly he can get Dream of Spring written.
  12. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 11:16 PM) Does that mean A-Rod is innocent of roiding? And are you of all people upset baseball is finally cleaning its act up? Have beef with Selig if you must, but that shouldn't change that the fact that A-Rod is roading douchebag who thinks he can buy his way out of his mistakes. He deserves no sympathy from anyone whatsoever. Be that as it may, that does not mean what MLB is doing is right. And it's not.
  13. QUOTE (staxx @ Dec 6, 2013 -> 09:46 AM) Zac Stacy or Riley Cooper FLEX PPR?? - Tough match up for Stacy. Andre Brown/Marshawn are my other RBs Megatron/Torrey smith WRs I would play Cooper in a PPR. Stacy in standard
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 6, 2013 -> 09:22 AM) I am mentally preparing myself for Mexico to get SUI/ALG/GRE and for the US to get Netherlands/Ivory Coast/Germany :pukes:
  15. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 05:30 PM) I'm still mad that HBO killed Bored To Death. That was hilarious. Agreed. Very funny show
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 01:07 PM) Hadn't seen this on the shot that won GT the game: How on earth did the ref miss this? It's literally right in front of him. Oh, wow. That was brutal.
  17. Would have been nice if Gary Kubiak didn't run 32 consecutive pass plays and bring Schaub into the game last night. Tate was doing alright, but then barely saw the field in the second half when the Texans inexplicably decided to run a spread offense with no one in the backfield. Kubiak's losing his job almost certainly
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Im really not a fan of both X Men and Avengers going up against Apocalypse in seperate movies, if that is what that tweet means. They are already going with two seperate versions of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch Aren't the Avengers culminating in Thanos though? I've never read the comics, just watched the old tv shows and played the video games. Are Apocalypse and Thanos related somehow? Why does this mean the Avengers will also be going up against him?
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 04:18 PM) Oh, ok, I get you, my apologies I misunderstood that you were specifically saying that was part of her story that changed. My bad, I read it as you saying the alcohol was a reason why her story shouldn't be believed. (That said...having a substantial quantity of alcohol is very much a reason why her story might have changed over time). Agreed. But her BAC was found to be .04 Look, no one knows right now what happened, but there are clearly holes. The accuser's attorney has said very specifically that the accuser was not intoxicated, but her story has been reported to have been different earlier on too. It's looks to be pretty clear that the DA didn't have much to go on here.
  20. Bryan Singer ‏@BryanSinger #Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 03:57 PM) Suing her isn't going to do any good because she's a college girl and probably has no money/assets. I do wonder if she follows through with her own suit if her attorney can be held liable for any damage to future earnings due to character assassination or whatever. I feel like an attorney shouldn't have to be faced with something like that? And it wouldn't even be about any sort of monetary gain. But if I was innocent of something like this and the person accusing me then proceeded with a civil suit, I would bring one right back at them for defamation. If he's not exactly innocent it's of course a completely difference scenario
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) I hate this kind of thinking because this is getting really close to "it was her own fault if it happened". Absolutely not at all what I said. Do you go out of your way to warp people's words? Or do you just feel some sort of obligation to take the opposite side of every single issue? My post was a further example of things that have changed in her story. That information came from the released affidavit today so it's not just some theory. In no way was I victim blaming. I was pointing out a huge example of what you were previously trying to defend.
  23. Also, if I'm Jameis Winston and I truly was innocent, I'd make it a point to sue this person for defamation of character.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 03:15 PM) Unfortunately, that is very normal for a "witness" to any event, particularly a traumatic one. Memory sucks, and it gets worse with time. Including taking so many shots she didn't even remember the cab home? But then not being drunk at all? She could be an unfortunate victim who will not get justice or she could have just made it up. It's a he-said, she-said but there were many holes in her story it seems.
  25. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 09:59 AM) There could also be an overload of too many big names. I would rather they keep the big names they have and add lesser known characters around them. Like Black Widow and Hawkeye. The next movie is going to have Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Well, by the time Avengers 6 or 7 rolls around I'm sure there will be a whole new roster
