France loses Koscielny for the return leg due to a red card too. Really hoping Ukraine can finish them off. France deserves that after Henry's handball sent them through 4 years ago -

Good draw for Iceland after falling to 10 men. Result still very possible in Zagreb. -

Because if so, they appear to have done it again with Montas.

QUOTE (staxx @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) got offered steve smith for lamar miller usually would never do but miller looked awful last week. my other tbs: lynch, stacy, andre brown, chris ivory my other WRs: calvin, harry douglas, riley cooper, terrance williams would you do it? You're not going to be starting either one. Neither one has much upside, but I think I'd probably prefer Smith. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 10:36 AM) Who would you have put in instead of Notre Dame? I don't think I said I would have put in anyone. By no means do I think they were the second best team in the country, but with the way the ranking system is, there's not really an argument other than "eye test" for anyone else. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) The problem is that the bowls make so much money for people that you can't just get rid of them or downgrade them. The biggest obstacle is keeping all those bowl execs happy. As someone previously mentioned, one major problem is the bowl affiliations and conference tie-ins. If NIU goes undefeated they should be able to play a New Years game against a solid opponent ranked in the 10-15 range. Instead, they're gonna have to play some 7-5 team from a barely FBS conference on December 20th or whatever. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 10:19 AM) You don't have a f***ing clue what you're talking about. ND beat Wake Forest 38-0 and pulled most of their starters in the 3rd quarter. Also, ND's schedule matched up with anybody's. Final BCS Rankings: Stanford 6, Oklahoma 11, Michigan 18. So he was wrong with Wake Forest. Feel free to substitute barely beating Purdue, BYU or Pitt (in 3OT with every possible break) instead. They had a really good win, at home, versus Stanford, and a good win @ Oklahoma and that's about it. Their schedule wasn't cake, but it was far from difficult.* *Through no fault of their own, the perennially strong teams that they regularly schedule just happened to not be very good last year. -

Never would have imagined this at the start of the year, but I was just able to trade Ray Rice for Alshon Jeffery and I'm THRILLED about it -

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 04:21 PM) Luckily got the much needed win to cling to the last playoff spot. Most points scored, most points against, Le Sigh Yeah that's tough, I'm facing similar scenarios in one of mine. Side question, do all your league members know what FAAB even is? -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 13, 2013 -> 08:59 AM) Lets go Kiwis!!!! The new Mexican coach decided not to call up any of their top players from Europe. Yeah, and said something about not being worried because "Mexico is Mexico". I'll be rooting so hard for New Zealand today -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) Anyone interested in a little Ed Reed? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9965883/...release-ed-reed I'd love if KC brought him in to add to their depth at the safety position

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 10:08 AM) Yeah, but Florida's offense has deteriorated to embarrassing bad. FSU's defense is tough against a good offense. Florida may not get more than 150 yards on offense. Hopefully you're right, I think I've only seen Florida play onec this year so I haven't realized it's gotten as bad as some of you are saying. I can't remember the last time Florida was thought of so negatively -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 9, 2013 -> 11:29 PM) It is really hard to see Alabama or FSU losing with their remaining schedules. Florida still scares me. It's in Gainesville and you can never overlook rivalry games. Most kids who play at FSU/UF/MIA were probably recruited by the other two schools and know players so you know they're going to be up for the game. -

I'm in 3 leagues, one of them looks to have just been a mediocre draft for me, but the other two have been flat out s***ty luck. In the league I'm in with friends from college, I have scored 2nd most, 4th most, 3rd most and 2nd most points the past 4 weeks and have gone 0-4 to fall two games back of the playoffs despite having the 3rd most points scored. And in my other league, which is a PPR and allows a QB in the FLEX, I have now lost Randall Cobb, Doug Martin and now my QB2, Jake Locker for the year. I also had Marques Colston and Ray Rice, so it's actually a minor miracle I'm 5-5 and in 8th place. I of course had Jake Locker in my lineup this week and he scored negative points. I needed just 5.5 points from Tim Wright (because of of couse this week Cameron was on bye) and he got my 2.9 I have never had this bad of luck in fantasy ever. It's beyond frustrating. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 12:08 PM) The Big is awful because that is what ESPN tells you. Havent played anybody? Alabama has played 0 ranked OOC games. FSU 0 ranked OOC games Its impossible to tell how good any of these teams are. But OSU hasnt lost in 2 years, and that should mean something. They do play Florida every year. Florida just happens to not be very good this year, which is one of the first times in what, the past 10-12 years? -

PPR league...need to play 2 RBs out of Ray Rice, Darren Sproles (return yards count), Ben Tate, Andre Ellington and Rashad Jennings. I have no idea who the best two are this week. Thoughts? -
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 7, 2013 -> 12:00 PM) Man, I don't know about this one -- leveraged to the hilt (over 75% debt to asset ratio), and a negative 700% yearly profit margin? If that drug fails trials, that company is going to 0. The drug is already approved in the EU, Japan, China and India. It's turned down recently but keeps flirting with 15-16 and several establishments have raised the PT's on it to the 17-20 range. Obviously the drug is the key but it's been interesting to me for a while. Waiting a little longer though.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 7, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) Agreed. What's this biotech? Intermune ($ITMN). They research and manufacture drugs for pulmonary and fibrotic diseases. Esbriet is their latest drug they are running trials with. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 7, 2013 -> 10:01 AM) Aren't these similar concerns that Facebook had? And look what happened to their stock. I managed to buy some when it was down around 21, which looks great with the stock back around 50.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 7, 2013 -> 01:22 AM) I'm having trouble understanding how you fleeced him in that deal. Agreed, especially in a non-PPR. I think I'd rather have Romo/Fitz to be honest. -
I think there's potential for some profit in the very short term but it will pull back rather quickly. They have not proven to be able to make money yet or take advantage of advertising. I was going to invest if the IPO price was closer to 20 but at that price I'd rather put the money I had earmarked for it into a Biotech I've been watching. Probably a good long term stock to own if you're willing to hold on for a while.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 11:03 AM) How this offseason unfolds (keeping or dealing Quintana) may give a clue about who they think will be available at #3. This off-season should have no bearing on the draft pick.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) If it's not a PPR, you could easily make an argument to drop Sproles. Not sure on Martin, he hasn't been ruled out for the year but I don't know if there's a lot of info on when/if he'll play. It's PPR and also get credit for return yards -

I need a roster spot this week with Jordan Cameron on bye. What is going on with Doug Martin? Do I have to worry about dropping him? My other RBs are Ray Rice, Darren Sproles, Andre Ellington and Ben Tate so I can't drop any of them.
