  1. Not making the playoffs this year would 100% be a failure. Bears fans have been patient enough. A good general manager and coaching staff can turn around an organization quickly in the NFL. The Houston Texans are evidence of that.
  2. I'm starting to think that Ryan Poles may be in over his head as a general manager in the national football league. Still time to change that narrative but this offseason and the current Fields situation points to a dude that is GMing scared. Getting the number #1 pick two years in a row is a feather in his cap, but there was also a ton of luck involved in that.
  3. A bunch of wannabe KatyPerryBootyholes if you ask me!
  4. Everett and Waldron have a history together so this makes sense. Really hope the Bears go get Danielle Hunter. So far it seems like Poles is playing the rick Hahn game of spreading all the available FA $$ around instead of going all in on a true difference maker signing.
  5. Terrible signings made by a terrible GM.
  6. We gotta throw in Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams if we are playing the blame game here. These guys sat around while the ship sank.
  7. This already happened last year. Cj Stroud outperformed Justin Fields by a wide margin. Maybe the Bears front office has no idea on how to evaluate quarterbacks? I will say that if the Bears pass on Caleb Williams and he wins Offesnive Rookie of the Year then it seems like a pink slip is in store for Mr. Ryan Poles.
  8. NYY could also just trade for Cease in a few months. The Yankees have a deep enough roster to hang around for the first half of the season. A trade for Cease further down the road makes more sense.
  9. I'm hesitant to deal with the Yankees. The last rebuild trade with them produced absolutely nothing of value.
  10. National NFL reporters are on record that the Bears haven't made up their mind yet. The Bears haven't even met with Caleb Williams. Poles has stated from day 1 that his goal is to build the team through the draft. I could very easily see them trading the #1 pick again to stockpile a bunch more draft picks.
  11. Seems like it is misdirection season all the time now in professional sports. Some of these reporters are straight up reporting false information in order to get acccess to "real" information.
  12. Well some say that the Bears aren't even shopping Fields..
  13. Whole situation is very confusing. Rappaport reporting yesterday that Bears aren't listening on Justin Fields at the same time others are tweeting out about the Bears and Raiders discussing a Fields trade. Seems like someone is lying here.
  14. According to Ian Rappaport, the Bears haven't even put Justin Fields on the trade market. Is there a chance that Poles and company trade out of the #1 slot again and bring Justin back? Or maybe they give Fields another elite weapon and take Harrison Jr 1.1?
  15. So all the tweets about the Raiders and Bears discussing a Fields trade were made up?
  16. Let's check back in on this in a few months as more info is released/leaked.
  17. Gotcha. And I amended that by saying the offeseason isn't over yet. However, if the Bears end up with both Caleb Williams and Justin Fields on the roster come week 1 then I will state that Poles 100% played himself.
  18. Why keep Fields at all if you are drafting a QB with a top 5 pick?
  19. I obviously don't know what the offers were/are for Fields and neither do you. We can both agree that Poles is trying to trade Justin Fields though right?
  20. Ryan Poles has been trying to trade Justin Fields all offseason. Everyone knows this. The offseason isn't over yet, so I will give this a little more time to play out. However, if the Bears draft Caleb Williams and bring back Justin Fields then I will say Poles 100% played himself and so will many others.
  21. Yep. Kirk Cousins may not have much playoff success but the dude has put up some huge regular seasons in his career. I don't see how they are comparable. Kirk Cousins threw for 4K yards and 29 touchdowns during his year 4 season.
  22. Go scroll through this thread. People on here were talking about Atlanta possibly giving up their first rounder for Justin Fields. Those posts aged like sour milk.
  23. Is the land zoned for residential? I'm not sure what a developer would put there now. The Bears would have very little leverage in a sale if the buyer knew they had to move the property asap.
  24. yeah and Bagent was an undrafted rookie free agen from a nobody school. Justin Fields was a top 15 pick from Ohio State University with a few years of NFL experience under his belt. The gap between the dudes is not that large if we are talking about playing QB. Justin Fields would be a much better running back than Tyler Bagent 100% though.
  25. Looks like there is very little demand for Justin Fields as a starting NFL quarterback. The trade value of Justin Fields keeps going down with each passing day. It's looking more and more like Poles played himself here.
