  1. Wow...I just have no idea what to say. Anything I could say would probably be considered inappropriate though...so I will just remain silent.
  2. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Someone has to explain to Britney, quick, that the rest of the civilized world (not counting Paris and Lindsey) wears pants when they leave the house. check out her 25th birthday party pic, courtesy of thesuperficial.com Im sure these outfits that she is wearing nowadays look great when they come with the pants, but she seems to forget those at home every time she goes out. Now, ya see, she might not be able to get away with wearing those with no underwear, but I on the hand make them look spectacular.
  3. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) I bet you really do care about if I really do care about what you don't care about...otherwise you wouldn't have responded to my thread No. I do care about upping my post count though.
  4. Anything that would have to do with the "stars" that grace the likes of People Magazine, and this includes Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and their silly little twirp of a child. I really don't care how much sporting franchises pay for players. If the player makes more money than Bill Gates, good for him/her. After all, even if the player did make the same amount of money as a McDonalds fryguarder, the sports franchise would still make me pay $4.50 for a hotdog and an outrageous amount of money to see said franchise play a game people used to watch me play for free when I was a kid. I don't care about much, and I bet you don't really care what I do and don't care about. The only reason for you to make this thread was to clear your own mind. I don't care if that was the purpose or not.
  5. There is NO WAY we will ever win a World Series title with Pods in left. I just had to say it. Hey, anybody know what Mike Caruso is up to? He was speedy.

    The Office

QUOTE(Dan @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) The Office I tried watching Scrubs the other night. Man, that sucked.
  7. Eh, not a "kegging" kind of guy, and I have no way of using a keg, nor can I afford one. I don't research everything in life. Sheesh.
  8. Things didn't go as planned. 4 hours to shovel snow. Sheesh.
  9. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 08:14 AM) I agree 100%. I had to shovel, though, because of the conference and because Larry lives too far away from me. Haha. Smart ass.
  10. Do you have to open all of the beers and then pour them in there? Seems that would cause them to be less than "good" by the end of a night.
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) LMAO http://hotair.com/archives/2006/11/29/vide...infeld-episode/ Awesome stuff from National Lampoon Saw that the other day. Still waiting for the attacks about the "monkey" bit. LOL!
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 07:56 AM) I had already taken today off for my daughter's parent/teacher conference, and I just got back inside from the first shoveling session of the day. What fun it is..... Screw that, I'm waiting until noon-ish. Then I am calling Larry and asking for his snowblower. He braved it and went to work. Seriously, I mainly stayed home due to not having anything to do there and also the wife worked 16 hours last night. I was running late for work due to waiting for her to get home. So, add these together: Crappy weather Nothing to do at work Kid home from school Wife worked 16 hours and needs sleep Issue 2 needs work Makes sense to stay home.
  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 04:52 AM) Plenty of snow up here in the NW burbs Schools are cancelled out here in Harvard. There is a pretty decent amount on the ground. Just waiting for my wife to get home so I can battle the roads. Why couldn't this have waited about 24 hours? Damn nature.
  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) I don't think that humans are very different around the world. The more I meet people who have been raised in other countries, the more I believe that. I agree. Except for them French bastards.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) Yes, for their own protection, because we hated them, like each side in the middle east hates each other. But I believe that can be changed, and in as little as one generation. I also got to thinking, Israel isn't thousands of years old, how could the hatred go back that far? I don't trust any leader over there, or around here for that matter I am not an expert on the current state of manufacturing in Iran, but from what I've read, they do not have the metalworking and other necessities to manufacture the armaments for a world war. Germany did, plus had the knowledge as well. Yeah, but they locked up mainly to protect them from redneck Texans from beating the crap out of them, not because the government hated them. I do believe that if Iran starts "gaining trust" and such, through bs letters like this, it won't be too long before people start handing them whatever they want. I also agree, I don't trust any government, but I especially don't trust the governments over there. But trust me, if I could find Sherman and Mr. Peabody, I would hijack their Wayback Machine and re-punch my last Presidential election ticket without a second thought.
  16. I normally stay away from political stuff here...but hey, what the heck. Part of the reason for the Japanese being put into the camps during WWII was also for their own protection. There were many reasons for it, not all of which were bad. Yes, just listen to some old time radio programs and it's obvious how much hatred there was for the Japanese at the time (and many, many other races...and political factions), but there was some decency in it also. Some...not much...but some. As for: Umm, wasn't Germany in the grip of the worst depression to ever hit that country and Hitler gained his power by slowly dragging them back to a powerful country? Sorry, I don't buy this guy. Let's all be real, how many of us actually trust ANY leader over there...including Isreal?
  17. As long as the snow hits while I am not driving, I love it. It's just the combo of driving and snowing that sucks. I drive 40 minutes to and from work everyday, and that easily can move into 1 1/2 hour drive with the right conditions. Plus we always go to Minnesota for the holidays and it always seems to storm only when I am driving. I friggin' hate that. But otherwise, sitting inside the house, watching a healthy snowfall with the tree lit (with the train running underneath it), you really can't beat that.
  18. Bought my daughter an MP3 player for Christmas, so I am sitting here finding songs to put on it for her as I teach her the finer things in music. Heh, her mom is going to kill me for some of it. She'll probably be the only kid in her school with the Sex Pistols on hers, and to make her doubly cool, it's the studio version of "Did You No Wrong", such a great song that is. Easily the best Pistols ever did. So far: 1. Surrender - Cheap Trick (she fell in love with it due to hearing it in Daddy Day Care, then she was shocked to find out I had the song) 2. Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself 3. Tones On Tail - GO! (club mix) 4. Sex Pistols - Did You No Wrong 5. The Clash - London Calling (played them for her before, but the song is featured in What A Girl Wants...so same effect as Surrender) 6. Smokey and The Miracles - Tears Of A Clown I plan to give her a folder of about 20 "great" songs.
  19. Sitting here right now listening to The Babys "Anthology". Anybody else feel they are one of the truely underrated bands in the history of Rock? John Waite was pretty friggin' great.
  20. Wow, that might just be one of the most annoying things I have ever seen.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 09:54 AM) I found this in an article about the leading Wiggle needing to quit the group because of his health. All I have to say is WTF?!@?!?! http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/11/29/D8LMIISG0.html I'm not surprised. The Wiggles are an extremely entertaining live show, and their tunes are not all that bad. Hopefully he gets better. Best kid music out there though: Justin Roberts http://www.justinroberts.org/ His music is really, really good. Great for kids, and not annoying in any way. If you have kids but can't take the typical "kiddie music" anymore, check him out.
  22. Man, my daughter would FREAK if I got her tickets to see Cheetah Girls. I, on the other hand, would probably have to seriously consider suicide before going to see that. Saw my first show when I was 10...or 11...it was Cheap Trick.
  23. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) My daughter loves them. She has also asked for the Jesse McCartney and Hannah Montana (aka Mylie Cyrus, Billy Ray's kid), and "High School Musical" CDs for Christmas. Same here, except for the Devil Child named "Jesse McCartney". I can't stand that guy. Really, the Ali and Aj isn't too bad. I can deal with it to a degree. But it's so sad to see them "playing" guitar in all of their videos, and the first thing I ever saw on them was them going on and on about how much they love their guitars. Then you open up the booklet...and lo and behold...they don't play a single note on the CD!!!
  24. My wife picked up the Ali and AJ Christmas CD for my daughter today. Life is swell.
