I love how everybody is doing the whole "hey, he washed his hands off, what's the big deal?" with all of this! The announcers before the Series were ridiculous. So, Sosa didn't actually get a hit with the corked bat, so what is the big deal? According to these bafoons, it's no big deal and baseball has other problems to worry about! Like cheating in the game...oh...ummmm...but that is with drugs.

I don't think it sounds fake at all.

Two Cub fans here at work were saying how great it would be if they could get Joe as their bench coach. Well, one was saying that and the other said that they got one yesterday, but he couldn't remember who. I told him. They both had a bit of a "Joe would be so much better". Why are they all so in love with the guy? Yeah, he may have done good this year, but the Cubs are actually lining up their staff like a REAL team, so why do they all still want Joe? I know the standard "idiot" answer probably applies, but do you think we Sox fans, if searching for a new manager, would be dying for a Girardi over people like Lou and Trammel?

What are Card fans saying about this? This is soooo much worse than the AJ dropped 3rd strike, IMO, but we heard about that until...well...I still hear about it.

I like the guy for about 2 songs, then the melancholy bores the s*** out of me.

The audience had no idea what to think of the guy, and at first was a bit put off my him. But within 2 songs the place was all his. He had an incredible presence on stage I had never seen before, or since. But to go along with him, Greg Gilmore the drummer also owned the crowd. By the time they got around to "Chloe Dancer" and "Crown Of Thorns", you just knew that you were seeing greatness before. I have no doubt that MLB would have been almost as big as PJ became with Ten, and I have no doubt that within time they could have been something that would have dwarfed what PJ turned into. No, I am not a Soundgarden fan at all. I like Louder Than Love, but that is about it. Pearl Jam fans, I don't mean to offend you. It's just that if MLB had survived, the resulting band would have been totally different than what PJ's mentality was/is.

Not only that, but to say either of those yahoo's are better than McCartney in a musical sense is absurd. He is an incredible musician who could play Edge and Bono under the table on almost any instrument you hand them. Plus Paul has a much stronger voice than Bono, and Pauls "yell" is still one of the greatest in the history of RnR. That bit about the yell is onbiously IMHO.

Eddie Cochran. The music world suffered a severe blow the day his car hit that tree, and it stopped him from ever recording again, and it changed the Gene Vincent did things. Andrew Wood. His death changed the entire popular music landscape. The 90's would have been drastically different had he not died. They also would have been soooo much better had he lived.

I tell ya, this is the silliest thing I have seen in a long time. I'm still a bit confused on how anybody can see this as "racist". Lyon's comments are more confusing than anything else.
