I love Norm!!! LOL!!! That was great.

Ah, I see. Well, it has returned to the land of the living. It might be that the battery did completely die, and just before it hit that state it was 100% useless. I plugged it into the computer and it seemed to be totally dead for about 5 minutes, and then it regained enough juice to be useable again through iTunes. So, we will see how it reacts in a few hours to being used on it's own again. This was a fine test though for knowing that when the battery dies, it will be dead and I won't be able to just use it with the computer.

Hm, my wife would kill me. I do that with guitars, but with nothing else. Sooo, I'll wait for my post on the Apple forums to get answered.

Wow. Good golly, Ozzie has completely lost his mind. I love beer, but sheesh, I can wait until I get home from work to have one.
-
How the hell do you take one of these apart??? I'm hoping by the light being on that means the battery is going. I'm hoping for a case of draining the battery and doing a reboot. I have yet to let it run down on me, so I'm hoping it's just a clog up in it, like never rebooting your computer.

QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) I would be shocked to see this team string three good games together. Heck, when was the last time they did that?
-
Wow. I find it amazing that he it out there in CF. Even he knows he doesn't belong there.
-
Ah, it was bound to happen. iPod won't power on or anything. The screen is on, but nobody is home. I played a video, the video ended, and the screen stayed on, but blank. Nothing works. Plugging into the computer doesn't do a dang thing, nothing. $400 isn't a bad price for a paperweight, is it?

Call me crazy, but I don't think Ozzie lost the game for us last night. I agree Mac's jump was poor, but that also didn't lose the game. To me it seems it was that terrible play by Dye (he is still getting a pass though since he has been the best all year), and the fact that our hitting just sucks. Hawk said, going into the 9th that we just need to get Konerko to the plate. Now, for my money anymore Konerko is the last person I want to see at the plate in the 9th with a hit needed. Ya knew he was going to strike out.

***sigh*** Did ya even click the link? Yes, Mars is sick. He's the only cool member.

Oh geesh, I have nothing against Cheap Trick, in fact I love the heck out of them. I just think "Boys Are Back In Town" is highly overrated. But that's just me. I don't know if these are the "greatest", but they all jumped into my head pretty quick, and a few of them I would consider the "Greatest", especially the first one. You're My Girl (live) - Faces (quite possibly the single greatest Rock and Roll recording ever) Solid Gold Easy Action - T Rex Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas Renegade - Styx Miss Judys Farm - Faces Baby Won't Ya - MC5 Mob Rules - Black Sabbath Long Way From Home - Foriegner Spirit Of The Radio - Rush Shine My Machine - Suzi Quatro

Yeah, I'm wioth Critic on this one. But this is very cool for fans of this stuff. I wish motre bands adopted the mentality of Jam bands and would put out the free live stuff.
-
They're a good band. But it's kind of funny that they should come up today. I was just commenting to another Canadian band about how I am pretty sure that the world next wave of great music is going to come from Canada. I made mention to them about April Wine. Then they show up. Creepy.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 08:04 AM) And almost NO ONE remembers Gilby Clarke from Guns N Roses. Ask people on the street who was in Guns N Roses and you'll get a ton of Axls, a lot of Slashes, a few Duffs and NO Gilbys, Stevens, Matts or Izzys. And maybe....MAYBE....some people remember Jason from his stint in Metallica, but again, ask most people and you'll hear James and Lars and not much else. Anyway, I hope SuperNothing fades away very very soon. Losing their stolen name will help them fade away quicker, and that is a GOOD thing. I have to say, though, it would have been hilarious if it had been "Rock Star: Van Halen". Eddie is batsh!t crazy right now, and Alex is a mope, and the two of them probably would have had them search for a new bassist at the same time, since they seem to really hate Michael Anthony for whatever reason. Eddie's saying now that if Van Halen ever reappears, his kid Wolfgang will be the bassist. He also said his cancer came from a metal guitar pick, that he is cancer-free thanks to some procedure he had that's "illegal in the States so I can't talk about it", and that the porno movie he wrote some songs for is "Bravehart with *** shots". Like I said, batsh!t crazy. THAT would have been a program even the vomit-inducing Dave Navarro couldn't keep me from watching. Pretty sure Eddie and Alex are on the "outs" with Michael due to his continued friendship with Sammy.
-
Let's be real though, how many here are fans of Gilby's bands PREVIOUS to his stint with GnR? Candy was one of the greatest Pop bands to ever exist, but nobody is familiar with them. Kill For Thrills was good, but more people probably remember Candy.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) I'm actually partial to "How Long You Wanna Live Anyway". And now......we SHUFFLE!!! The Bollweevils - Talkpeople RPG - Song Of Evil Skid Row - Get The F*ck Out Social Distortion - Through These Eyes The Riverboat Gamblers - Year Of The Rooster Damone - Frustrated Unnoticed Naked Raygun - Metastasis The Paybacks - Black Girl The Cartels - Nothing To Do The Wildhearts - Red Light Green Light LOL!!! Here we go again... Chose to start out with a little MC5 - Lookin' At You just to set it off properly. El Diablo - Broken Teeth Brainwasher - Gaza Strippers Stiff Competition - Cheap Trick The Girl Who Knows Nothing At All - American Heartbreak Baggage - Bullet Lavolta Obscene - The Damned Jim Gordon Blues - The Dictators You Told A Fib - Gene Vincent And The Blue Caps Happy Boys Happy - The Small Faces Something's Wrong With My Radio - Stray Cats Anybody else notice how as soon as you are done doing your "shuffle list" it suddenly kicks into cool stuff? This is an O.K. list I guess, but these are lesser songs by all of these bands. Well, aside from "Stiff Competition" which is a cool azz song and the fact that "Radio" is the coolest of all the Cats tunes!
-
Start off tune: Satyagaha - 7 Seconds Shuffle mode: It's Cold Outside - Stiv Bators Saturday At Midnight - Cheap Trick Somebody Help Me Scream - 7 Seconds Shokker - Wrathchild Still Got A Story To Tell - Humble Pie Running - Verbal Assault Image - Kill Whitey Pathetic Way Of Life - Hardcore Superstar Red Headed Woman - Royal Bastards Get Me To The Church On Time - Brian Setzer Orchestra

There is footage of it. In the CNN article somebody talks about how they watched the video to see what exactly happened. But I would expect it to be like Brandon Lee's final footage, and that we will never see it. RIP. The guy was wacky, but cool. Anybody who loves critters that much rules.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) How can I get an issue? The link where is says "Sonic Ruin" in my signature is the My Space site with info there. I don't really want to post all of the info here without the "O.K." from powers that be, due to my not wanting to be 100% spam. Obviously I was going to mention it being done though. But the info is at the My Space site, and eventually there will be a website for it with all of the info. I've found a couple errors in the issue though. Eh, I guess that was expected.
-
Issue 1 of my magazine is now done. I get it from the printers tomorrow.
