  1. I saw it on Amazon, but as of now, it is wallowing in "Import Hell". It's such a shame. I was just lamenting the fact that Hardcore Superstar have no US deal. They are a fairly big band in the rest of the world, but for some reason no US label will touch them.
  2. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) What? No comments? Come on fellas, if you were around in the 70's and like your Free, Grand Funk Railroad, Aerosmith etc, listen to The Answer at either of the links above and you will not be disappointed. Think of The Darkness but without the tongue in cheek spandex. They are currently supporting Whitesnake and blowing them away. There debut album (out this week) has been reviewed by Kerrang! magazine who call it the best debut album ever. I missed your original post, so I just checked now. Yeah...I think they're pretty cool. LOVE the slide used in "Into The Gutter"!!! Wow..."Preachin'" is friggin' KILLER! Yeah, think I need this one. Thanks Plod! They also remind me of Humble Pie, and The Critic knows how I feel about Pie.
  3. I loved it and was absolutely fine with the running time. My only complaint is I wish there was more action. But the thing is, I am not so sure I would have shortened it for more action. I actually would have added a little more to it. But I am crazy like that. For the record on how I feel about superhero flicks: Spider-Man: Loved it. Spider-Man 2: REALLY loved it. Batman Begins: Loved it. X-Men: Liked it. X-Men 2: Liked it a bunch X-Men 3: Liked it more than 1 but not as much as 2 Dare Devil: f*** Ben Affleck. He ruined a cool character. Superman The Movie: REALLY loved it. Superman II: Loved it, but it has not aged well. Spawn: Dropped the ball on what could have been great. The Crow: REALLY loved it. Batman: Eh, it's O.K. Batman Returns: Better than the previous. Batman Forever: Eh...I guess it was fine...I guess... Batman And Robin: Didn't like it. Judge Dredd: It was actually much more faithful to the books than people will have you believe, and if they had kept on the helmet there would have been much fewer complaints. Fergie was all wrong, but Schnieder was O.K. in it. Mean Machine was great. There are some I haven't seen, obviously. I have yet to see: Superman III, Superman IV, and The Hulk...but I will be watching all of them over this weekend I am sure. I have Elektra awaiting a viewing...but...yeah...
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) Shes trash, and shes done. Her marriage is a sham and her body will never be what it was, and neither will her "voice". Later. Her voice will be back. They just need to find the proper settings on the computer.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) Ebert only likes artsy tartsy films that no one in the real world likes. He should review Independant movies only, and just get on with it. I pay no attention to the fat man with no film taste. If it is anything like batman begins then it will be great. I cant wait to see it now. He gave Garfield: A Tale Of Two Kitties favorable reviews. Well, I should actually say Garfield gave it a good review. That was such an odd review.
  6. The official one is now up: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/spider-man_3/ Now THAT looks friggin' amazing!!!
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) Iran will have nukes for about as long as it takes Israel to obliterate their country. They will nuke them back to the stone age before they let that crazy country get nukes. I hope they are building bomb shelters in Tehran. Because the big nasty is going to come down, suck the paint off all of their houses, and give them a permanent green hairdo. Promise?
  8. I'm on a T.S.O.L. kick right now.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 07:30 AM) They said the $37 billion could feed 350 million people or about 6-7% of the planet for an entire year. Bet you could feed more if you took them to Old Country Buffet. I hear that place has killer deals.
  10. This should kill the "is Venom in it" debate!!! Looks pretty friggin' cool from what I can see!
  11. One of the funniest movies of the past 20 years.
  12. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 26, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) You realize the s***load of cash the guy has probably made selling his tickets? No, he hasn't sold them on Stub Hub or anything, he's sold them at face value to friends and other people in the company. So he's made back what he has paid, basically. He's only saved himself emotional turmoil, which I guess is priceless in all reality.
  13. On the news tonight they showed just what exactly 3 billion dollars a year is capable of doing if used right. It was quite stunning and gave a glimmer of hope to the future. Then they followed it up with a story about some terrorist acts overseas and it really came crashing back to reality. Whilst some wish to just help humanity, there will always be some asshole out to destroy it.
  14. Some of those that say "No U.S. release" have been shown in select theaters in the U.S. though, for the record.
  15. My bosses are season ticket holders for the Cubs. They actually talk about the Sox more than they do the Cubs anymore. One of them has sold off most of his season tix, but held onto the ones for Friday. The reason? He says he wants to see the Sox play.
  16. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:35 PM) She's not that awful looking. Yes, she is. She would never have had a career without her dad. Notice how many non-Spelling projects she has done?
  17. QUOTE(Chip Z @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 11:42 AM) Wow I just met the biggest sox fan! As far as Mariotti goes, he is not a good writer, he steals and plagurizes most of his columns from other sources. He could be the biggest white sox homer in the world and it wouldn't change the fact he is a talentless hack. BTW can I get your autograph or something I am still in awe that the biggest sox fan has quoted me Awww hell man, this isn' Chip Z'Nuff...is it???
  18. Two things: 1. I agree, the "Ignore" function rocks. 2. I had no idea Mariotti was gay. When did he come out??? Was it in Roepers column???
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) Huh? QUOTE(Shamrock4Life @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) NL=AAA this year. Thank you. I had to go eat dinner.
  20. This is ridiculous. I love seeing the Sox beat up on teams, but I also can't wait to get back to the major leagues.
  21. I also would hardly call Rammstein "Emo", but I'm wacky like that. Those guys would scare the hell out of most Emo kids. Either that or just set them on fire.
  22. Congrats Balta!!! Take control and kick some ass!!!
  23. It's funny. All this arguing about Christianity from this original post.
