  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 08:46 AM) You mean you didn't like Peter Frampton's performance? I always hated Frampton, until I heard him with Humble Pie. Then I only like him sporatically, and then get to dislike him for leaving a killer band to go play really bad music.
  2. Honest to God? I had no idea what a "Baby Brangelina" was. I would have avoided it if I did know it was those two.
  3. Ahem...after seeing coverage on this all over the place, I would like to go on record as to saying: I DON'T GIVE A f*** ABOUT BRAD AND ANGELINA AND THEIR DAMN BABY!!!
  4. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 06:50 AM) I fixed that for you. Aerosmith is decent in it, and that's about where it all ends.
  5. Yup, he looks familiar. I seem to think I always thought he looked "slimy". But then again, what wrestler didn't? RIP though man, that's too young.
  6. Have a picture? The name doesn't ring a bell. But if he was against Hogan and Roberts, and seeing his age, I would guess he was around in the 80's, when I watched some wrestling.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) Those songs remind me of how f***in' horrible the 80's were. You kidding? "Eighties" is easily one of the coolest songs ever. "Read About It" was the last great thing Midnight Oil did. I'm not a fan of many of those songs, as they just remind me of some great times. Butr a few of those are great, great, great songs such as "Ghost In You" by Psychedelic Furs, who were just a cool band all around. You want to remember how bad the 80's were, the underground isn't where that proof was. That proof is all over what was Top 40 radio.
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) I thought you put "World Destruction" by Lydon/Bambataa on the disc you burned for me? Good catch. I always get the title of the song goofed. It was "World Destruction" by Time Zone, which was the name they called the band, but in the end of the song Lydon starts yelling that "time zone" bit.
  9. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) I won't say which artists, but color me uncool. I guess Bon Jovi or Neil Diamond. Giving Phil Collins credit, his early days with Genesis (as long as Hackett was in the band) were friggin' great. Even ABACAB was a decent enough album for what it was. His main fault now is ignoring his amazing skills as a drummer, IMO.
  10. I did a CD a few years ago of all the songs that were played in the clubs I went to back in the 80's. Songs I was not a fan of then, but have since then caused me to go back in time. I gave a copy to my sister and it actually brought out tears. Some songs from it: "Halloween" - Ministry "Dig It" - Skinny Puppy "Cities Of Dust" - Siouxie And The Banshees "Time Zone" - John Lydon and Afrika Bambataa "GO!" - Tones On Tail "Eighties" - Killing Joke "Bizaare Love Triangle" - New Order "Work For Love" - Ministry "The Ghost In You" - The Psychedelic Furs "Nemesis" - Shriekback "Read About It" - Midnight Oil And many more that I can't remember right now.
  11. Anybody else think Cintron looks like Joey Cora Jr.?
  12. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) it was a cynical reference to his new "mop up" role. sorry Don't apologize. The short bus just dropped me off, so I'm late getting to the game.
  13. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) Get Cliff up... Green? Don't we want to stop the bleeding instead of causing it to continue?
  14. Non-Horror fans probably have no idea what a wonderful film Dellamorte Dellamore (aka Cemetery Man) is. Incredibly beautiful in it's cinematography, some great humor, a ton of stuff to leave open for interpretation, and some great FX, including the coolest Grim Reaper to ever appear in film.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:51 AM) "I like them a whole bunch. Nice hooks on many songs." Wow, KG and I agree on a band, I'm not sure how I feel about that. Can I change my opinion on them? Hey, I bet we would actually agree on many bands, especially if you like stuff like this. Have you ever heard sHeavy? http://www.sheavy.com/ Total Sabbath, but very cool.
  16. QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:00 AM) Without good genetics, getting decent abs is pretty tough. I'm 5'11'' 190lbs. and my waist is a 32, but I work at it almost obsessively. It doesn't come naturally. I follow a low fat, high protein, moderate carb diet, with almost no processed sugar. I eat 6 small to mid-sized meals a day. As far as my ab workout is concerned, I go to the gym (5 minutes from my house) every morning before work simply to do abs. It takes me 15 mintues and I do 6 exercises, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps each exercise. I do 4 lower ab exercises (hanging leg raises, knee raises), 1 oblique exercise (torso twist machine), and 1 upper abs exercise (crunches). I'll then go back to the gym when I'm done working and coaching in order to do my actual weight-lifting routine, which usually takes about 45 minutes. I do absolutely no cardio, but I'm very disciplined in what I eat (I'll pick at bad foods, but I won't eat a lot of it) and I only drink 1 night a week. Anyway, this is what I do and it works for me. You must have some muscle mass to you. I'm 5'11", 175lbs. and have a 32" waist, and I'm pushing it a bit there. Strange how this weight distribution thing goes.
  17. You Are 42% Evil You are evil, but you haven't yet mastered the dark side. Fear not though - you are on your way to world domination. How Evil Are You? http://www.blogthings.com/howevilareyouquiz/

  19. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) See, I couldn't get into them. To me it sounds like the worst parts of Black Sabbath, Monster Magnet and Led Zeppelin. I see trucker hats and "vintage" Foghat t-shirts when I hear Wolfmother. I like them a whole bunch. Nice hooks on many songs. They themselves look nothing like what they sound like. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Whats DC band did he do vocals on before Nirvana? No idea, but he did drums for Scream, who were on the Dischord label with is based in DC, so maybe you are thinking of them? I don't think Scream was from DC though. This was all just before Nirvana grabbed him. I remember when Cobain was looking for a drummer. His one rule was that the guy had to be a HARD hitter.

For me it meant a C+.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/06/03/indianapo...ings/index.html I'll bet Hardees is excited about all the free publicity. But comparing it to the publicity that Browns Chicken recieved, I bet Hardee's is happy with this form. I'm curious as all heck as to what the motive was. It says in that article that before entering he knew he was going to kill everybody. That's f'ed up. Nice to see he was worried about getting the death penalty, atleast he values his own life. Prick.
  22. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 02:16 AM) Years later, I went to luthiery school... Really??? I've been thinking of going to one. Do you build or do you repair? Not a Dead fan at all, one of my most despised bands in fact, but this is a shame. That's much too young to die. RIP.

Being born in Chicago, and being raised in the 'burbs, I really wouldn't be surprised by how far you can see ours, as I know. BUt I still don't see how that helps a city out. But if that is what you like, cool.
  24. QUOTE(Felix @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:50 AM) Queens of the Stone Age.. thats the other band that I knew he played with. Didn't know that he did the drums for Nine Inch Nails though.. one wonders where he gets time for all of this He also did drums for a great old Punk band called Scream. Best band he was ever in, IMO. He's on the No More Censorship album, for those interested.

Yeah, I guess I have to ask why a skyline would make a city great? You don't see it at all while walking in the city.
