Schultz did in fact come back out for the 4th. Struck out the side. He finishes at 4IP, 1H, 2BB, 8K (career high) on 68 pitches.

Birthday boy Schultz around 95-96. Slider and changeup looking nice today. 52 pitch count through 3 (0R, 1H, 2BB, 5K), so he might be back out. Targets were 60 pitches/4IP. Leadoff walk got to 3rd with no outs on a steal and throwing error, but was stranded by a couple strikeouts and a close play at first on a bobbled grounder with Schultz covering.

Perez pulled for Lee after one AB. Maybe coming back up? I guess they may have just wanted him catching Patino, who was relieved in the next half inning.

Reyes continues to right the ship in DSL with 4IP scoreless on 2H, 1BB, 7K today. He piggybacked Denny Lima, who pitched 5IP, 1ER, 2H, 1BB, 1K. Lima was only a $10K signing, but he's been pitching pretty well.

Montgomery not in the lineup. Ramos just missed a 3 run shot.

Other than a solo shot, McCollough looks good today. 5Ks through 3IP, and the homer is the only baserunner allowed.

Barons will be shifting to a 6 man rotation to accommodate the new arms. Bush and Eder pitch Sat/Sun. Trash Pandas wave the white flag with a position player on the mound for bottom 8, so the Barons should finally get a win. Just for good measure though, Colson reaches base for a sixth time on a HBP.

Lol, Colson just refuses to make an out tonight. 3-3 with 2BB, HR, 2B, 3RBI and 3 runs scored.

This Birmingham game has been quite the watch. Barons leading 11-10 in a seesaw affair with still 3 more to play.

3-0 swinging HR by Popeye for the lead Montgomery works his way to a walk from an 0-2 count.

Pretty nice start by Chase Solesky: 6.2IP, 1R (unearned), 3BB, 2K. Defense helped by turning 3 DPs behind him, wiping out two of his three walks. Unfortunately, the 3rd walk scored on a error to tie the game at 1. Leasure came on in the 10th to try to preserve the tie, but gave up a walk off HR. Knights lose, 3-1.

Nastrini starting tomorrow for the Barons., FYI.

Hack with 3 doubles in 3 games for Charlotte so far. The most recent one scored Sosa, who was on after an RBI double of his own.

Harris has walked both times up today. The first time, Park reached on a two base error and they both scored on a HR. The second time, Park followed with his first KCB hit, a soft liner to right center. Harris hustled 1st to 3rd, and later scored on a WP.
