  1. Cleveland up 6-0 in game 2...hope Detroit are more prepared to hit in Cleveland than the Sox were
  2. I've thought the Tigers were overperforming for a while, but I didn't expect the regression to happen all at once like this. Worse record than the Sox in the last 20 games, and we just ended a 6L. Meanwhile Guards are 15-5.
  3. He doesn't rack up Ks, but I'm pretty fond of Martin and his ability to generally keep the team in games for 5+ This was start #24 for him and his 9th QS. It was #31 for Cease, who has 8 quality starts so far. Martin has failed to go 5 IP only twice all year while Cease has been chased early 10 times, so even with ~6 weeks of missed time Dart still has more 5+ inning starts on the season. Not bad at all for a 14th rounder.
  4. Barons win! Better team basically all series, save for that one inning meltdown in Game 1.
  5. Big insurance run in the 9th, DJ triple knocked in by an AMak double. Barons up 9-6, 3 outs away
  6. Not the first time a Cease start has ended a White Sox loss streak... Game didn't feel as close as the score, shoulda had an extra run or two if not for those outs at 3rd.
  7. ...What? How is it weird or thirsty that she made a little reference to following her husband's team as well as the Sox?
  8. (She's married to Jake Cronenworth, for context)
  9. Barons win 4-0. Palisch threw 3 no hit innings of his own, Tyler Davis lost the no hitter with 1 out in the ninth but still secured the W.
  10. Playoff Hagen Smith has been an absolute joy to watch tonight. Thought he might go deeper, but he's done after 5 no hit innings. 2 walks, 10 Ks on 73 pitches. Struck out the side in the 2nd and 4th. Left with a 4-0 lead, Palisch took over out of the pen.

  12. The 8th is his best inning, over 1.000 OPS including close to .700 SLG and 6 of his 20 HR. Also 11 of his HR are with 2 outs.
  13. Sounds like Zavala will be playing winter ball this offseason
  14. Messick pitch fully up and away: strike Martin pitch fully inside the top corner of the zone: ball
  15. Giants suddenly a half game out...this Mets collapse is something else.
  16. Hopefully something minor
  17. Bibee getting some leeway on these corner calls
  18. Him and Caminero are a fun pair
  19. Told them to Getz their hands off 😤
  20. 5.2IP scoreless with 4 hits/Ks today for Smith. He threw 16 straight strikes in 3 ball counts before finally giving up his only walk in the 6th (helped by a borderline call going against him). Came back from 3-0 to get an out three times. 13 whiffs, velo up a smidge over his season averages despite continuing to add innings. Good stuff.
