An IL stint lets you bypass the restrictions on how long guys have to be down at AAA before you can call them back up after an option. I'm not saying it's 100% a phantom injury...but if they wanted to call up Gonzalez over someone else, that's the way to do it.

Braden's doubles streak ends at 7 games, but he still increased his OPS by going 1-2 with 2 walks. Coffey was great out of the pen with 2 perfect innings and 5Ks.

Smith gave up a cheapie in the 5th. Walk advanced to 3rd on a single and called safe at home on a close play on a bunt FC. Final line 5IP, 1ER, 2H, 2BB, 7K. For what it's worth, I didn't think the misses were bad. Zone seems a little tight.
