Run expectancy numbers aren't meaningless, but they are limited by only considering outs and baserunners broadly rather than matchups, contact profiles, the on deck batter, etc. There are guys who should never bunt, but Chase is likelier than average to pull a ball on the ground so I get it in that specific spot.
