  1. Certainly a choice to talk about Miguel Vargas like he's just one of their (multiple and likeable) grindy role players rather than a guy whose Savant page is more lit up than a Christmas tree:
  2. Philly players especially didn't show up for the home crowd 0-5 with 4K for their bats, 3 ER in an inning for their starter
  3. Mune's next bobblehead is sponsored by Toto (as are the actual clubhouse bidets IIRC) The travel packages will have Japanese airline and travel agency partners
  4. Only 2 barrels in the entire game so far and both are off his bat.
  5. Hell yeah, Miggy.
  6. DSL ASG is 7/19
  7. I've been saying it for ages, but I really do think this gets done.
  8. Japanese travel site highlighting Mune and the Sox at the Rate as a "destination" Linked article has a ton of pictures and info about the park, amenities, food, etc. They got treated to a pregame stadium tour. They mention that Boyer is working with at least one Japanese travel agency to be able to offer packages that include suites/club seats "for 2027 and beyond"
  9. I guess he wasn't kidding about being ready to sign ASAP lol
  10. Bones didn't get a hit in the Futures game, but apparently impressed anyway.
  11. Murakami Vargas Peters
  12. Also a reminder that the format is different this year, so it's a known and limited number of swings per round. He cited the changes as a reason he was comfortable participating.
  13. At the break, your Chicago White Sox have spent more time at or above .500 than under it this season. On May 13th, they reached .500 for the first time after 42 games. They have not been below since (they were exactly .500 again twice at 26-26 and 27-27, but never under). They bottomed out at 7 under (6-13) on April 16th. Since April 17th, they are 44-32 (~94 win pace), 5th in MLB and 2nd in the AL. Only the Brewers, Dodgers, Rays, and Phillies have been better. Coincidentally, that stretch started with a series win vs. the A’s on the road and runs through this sweep vs. them at home (and both times the Sox had been swept by an AL East team at home in the previous series). Some benchmarks for the second half: 11-56 to exceed last season's win total 20-47 for 70 wins 31-36 for a .500 season 37-30 for 87 wins, the cutoff for the playoffs in last year's (stronger) AL
  14. It's an 0-fer today, but he went 4-11 with 2 doubles and a walk for the series.
  15. Schultz threw his changeup way more than usual today (basically swapped it with his sinker which went from most to least used) and it seemed to work well.
